[Resolved]  Airtel — Arrogant & illeterate Manjunath from Airtel Bangalore Cancellation Dept

This is a complain specific to the arrogant behaviour of illiterate employee Manjunath from Airtel Bangalore Cancellation Dept. This may go well with other employees who behave likewise. Firstly this guy is very illiterate to provide customer service & I am sure there are numerous of his kind. Recently I was on a call with him for over 10 mins to cancel my connection & when he couldn't answer my questions about various options available to cancel, he arrogantly started saying "your voice is breaking" & disconnected my call. This is the most popular way for Airtel customer care representatives to get away from the customer. According to them whenever they don't want to talk further automatically our voice starts breaking out! How poorly these reps have been trained or whether they are trained at all? If they are so scared to face the customers then why the heck they are paid for? Airtel training dept really sucks. There are countless complaints on Airtel but pathetically their management neither doesn't seem to do anything nor they want to. If you really want to see how you are doing then allow customers to raise a grievance against anyone in customer care dept. I am sure your database will be full in no time. If any of the Airtel management person is reading this complaint then let me know what action you will take against Manjunath?

I have purchased one new sim card (airtel Pre-paid) from last 25th aug 2008, Mob. No.[protected]. but this sim card not working properly, means i cannot make any local landline calls from this number (Message is "You are not allow this numbers"). And also deducting Rs.1/- per day without any call. So I requesting to you please check this number, what is the problems?

And every time recharging money also deducting. So many times I am complaint to customercare for cancellation this two problems. but till date this is not cancelled. So requesting to you please give any help for this two options cancellation.

I have a Air tel post paid connection my number us [protected]. For last six month to one year I am facing a problem related to network and call drop at white field bangalore. I have given several complaints but its of no use. I am paying regularly my bills still nobody listens. really dissappointed with the unprofessional behaviour of the air 121. The manager was happy to take my cancellarion request rather then showing its interest to resolve my issue.

my airtel connection is life time. why every time before calling it's telling me you re-charge other wise you will be disconnected. i am using this connection from last one and half year. plz take immediate actions
I have been using an airtel connection for the last 2 years. There were no problems until now. Since september 9th, the signal vanished while I am in office, once I step out of the office the signal comes back. It is the same story every day, every time I complain, I get a new reference number!!! and now they say they cannot do anything about it...true professionals!!!
Airtel Customer Care is totally useless...dey cut r calls widout ne reason ...which is absolutely stupid !!!... waste of time and money.
At Airtel...they just beleive in exploiting and cheating customers...
I am one of the oldest customers of Airtel having purchased the Sim during late 1999 0r early 2000. Of late strange things happen often which I am unable to comprehend. Invariably calls drop every occasion I make or receive a call. The call never gets connected as you get Not Accessible/Switched off messages. But if you keep trying you get connected ! The other day when I left for Chennai, I got the welcome message at Hosur and then the line went dead for the whole day and the next day it started working alright! Today at Bangalore around 11.30 Am the line went dead abruptly and all my effort to hook on to the network manualy failed with a message NO ACCESS ! My umpteen attempts to contact Customer Care went futile as the electronic options are designed to prevent the Customer (dont)care officers being accessible to Customers. What a sorry state of affairs! What an irresponsible establishment! What a fool I am to be still with Airtel. I carry an additional phone with a Vodaphone sim now a days.
well...even i wud leave Airtel as soon as there is a choice of network selection...in which the number can b d dame and the service provider can b changed...
Airtel is a CHeat company !...
the Airtel Customer care care service does not kno anything at all...its a company of Illiterates...Airtel will soon b on road and start begging !

I had requested for a migration of Prepaid to Postpaid connection on Jan 31st 2009.
As per procedure all necessary documents were submitted and the payment made. The sim card was supposed to be activated in 48 hours, or so I was told. After 5 days, when I called Airtel office, they said that their "server was down" and so the processing could not be done. They would need another 4 days to do it. After 4 days, it was still not done. I went to the office and found that my application was lying on the desk of the person who was working on it. They had "forgotten" about it and was working on it. Another 2 days. When it was still not done, I called the nodal officer. The nodal office is another place of chaos and they have absolutely no co ordination in their work. The office closes by 5 pm and everyday there is a new person answering the call who has no idea what the other person has been doing. I did not see much hope there. On Feb 12th, I went to the office again and this they told me they had "lost the documents" and I should be submitting these again. I had requested for my money back as I dont have any more faith in these people. They convinced me an executive will be there at my place first thing in the morning next day to collect these docs. No one came. I am writing this complaint more out of disappointment than frustration. I work in a mobile phone service provider company and it is very sad to see the difference in service standards with our Indian counterpart.

II have Airtel postpaid connection and recently I have shifted to our new flat in purva fountain square, Marathalli. The network there is just not there. Inside the flat when you stand in the balcony only you get signal otherwise there is ZERO signal. I dont know how effective this site would be to solve this problem...giving it a try.
i have phurchased i phone almost 8 months back from airtel Aligarh (U.P). it became dead and since last 45 days it is with airtel and no response pls advice should i complain to consumer forum or any other way

I had the same person (Manjunath) answering my call when I called for some clarifications, he lacks basic professional ethics. Its all comes from their background, nothing can be done now and Airtel has such I's to answer its valuable customers. I can provide the time & date of my call, can Airtel retrieve this recording and check how pathetic he is. He is also deaf AH.
