We had made complaint with AIRTEL regarding Broadband service, a week back as this service to our Hospital has totally cutdown w.e.f. from 5th November, we had registered complaint with Airtel complaint No. 39610848, we had made repeated visit to local AIRTEL office at Perundurai Road Erode -11, Except giving some may promises, they unable to solve the problem yet this time 3.28pm on 15.11.2010. We had even tried to complaint with Nodal Office at Chenni[protected], however NOTeven a single time the telephone was attended, and made complaints at their HotLine, and directly contacted their service engineers, - NO ACTION was taken from the Airtel part until now.

Any one who can guide us, please provide info. how to take up this case through CONSUMER Forum. please write to us info on [protected]@yahoo.com

Dear sir,

From last 15 days my internet is not working due to adsl down.and same was comunicated to costumer care and as local excutive also still not been resolved.

i was really prustated due to this reason.

    sir I have lodged complaint several times for mob no. [protected] activation to airtel customer care as company says my no. has been deactivated for not using mob no. upto three months before deactivation but I am sure that I used several times in that period.Sir I have the honour to request you to that company should provide call details/recharge details.Sir I am enclosing my complaint to airtel.

    Airtel — my prepaid no. has been deactivated & alloted to some other person

    My sister have purchase Airtel prepaid number [protected] in July, 08 for One year validity. After sometime we have received a SMS from customer care dept. to deposited ID once again.

    We deposited the ID to Airtel C.P. office in Delhi but till now the number has not been activated. Both incoming & outgoing are closed on this number now, we have tried to contact C.P. office but till now we have neither any positive response from Airtel nor our number has been activated.

    After a few days i received a mail from airtel that my no. has been activated.but as I insert above sim in mobile set it shows "UNREGISTERED".

    When I dialled the same number with my other phone line...there was Mr. Suresh who r having this number

    company has alloted my phone number to another person named Mr. Suresh on aprox. dated 10th Oct, 08.

    as I have already this number with One Year Validity & I have submitted my ID two times.

    How can company allot the same number to another one.

    Airtel — Number discontinued and allotted to somebody else

    I was using Airtel prepaid number from past 9 years. As I was away | could not use the number and found when checking after three months that it has been suspended and allotted to someone else.
    May please know

    1. What is the maximum time a number can be continued without using the same.
    2. How I can retrieve the number back.

      AIRTEL DIGITAL TV Complaints

      HELL CUSTOMER CARE

      I am just posting all the mails that went back and forth between me and Airtel.

      I' ve been a very satisfied customer of two Airtel mobile numbers for last 12 years. That prompted me to go for their 1590*- offer for digital TV. Approached a Dealer despite his concerned advise to take up TATA sky, I went in for the service confident that the service would be reliable . Opted for english & lifestlye top up in addition to the new value pack ,paid in cash... purchased the STB on 25/9/2010- installed on 27.9.2010

      It has one year warranty and 6 months service warranty.
      On 27-Oct-2010 all of sudden without any reason the my top up channels were discontinued
      On trying to lodge a complaint to Airtel Digital call centre- they refused to stating that I had a balance RS -77/-- Despite having recharged for 2 months additional channels. They refused to accomodate me & refused to register a complaint not once but 3 calls were made by me in a span of 3 hours on 27/10/2010. Irrresponsible and arrogant behaviour of Customer Center, made me respond equally rudely.hwereon I was told to act like a customer - well I did as a highly harrased by them for no mistake on my part
      The local service centre was not responding to calls I had to finally call the dealer to make sure I could get them to rgister a complaint on 28/10/2010.
      Finally 2 tech. arrived & disturbed the rest of the channels - & stated that the STB was deffective - such was not the case - one of the chaps fell & disturbed the dish & could not set it right after struggling for 2 hours on[protected]. I had again contacted the dealer & then manged to find out that the tech. were untrained chaps . tranmission resumed but not clear
      Even after that I registered 4 complaints - none were attended
      The call centre asks me to part with a satisfaction code - that is all they & the service chaps are interested not in setting the service
      I have even written 2 complaints vide their website but to no avail - only we will set it right
      Today was the final straw with a very callous attitude of the call centre personnel - Mr Bharat - who only stated policies & said he will puyt in a request for cancellation of service & refund me a pittance amount of Rs 29 that is the balance of the top up cjannels - does this mean that They are being magnanimous to let me keep the STB & Dish which I can keep as reminder of of a trophy of bad choice -that is what I got to iunderstand
      Please help me get my money refunded from this company. The quality of their picture is also of inferior quality as compared to... TATA sky- I have gone in for their service & Am immensly happy with the it
      I once again request you to hlp me get me arefund of the amount Rs 1590- I n have not had a single days pleasure with installing their STB - even my old cable service wa s better than this

        I have been following this issue for very long time and still it has not been resolved but rather was rejected without asking my approval.
        Following is the whole scenario that happened during the repairing the connection. (Note: I am not 100% sure of the dates since 3 months has already been passed after this issue)
        I logged a complaint on 15th or 16th of August that "There is no dial tone on the telephone and that's why internet is also not working and thus we are suffering from past 2 days".
        1. But instead of sending the telephone personnel, a broadband repairman came the next day, who then refused to repair the same since issue was in the telephone. (Note: it was the fault of the customer care or whoever because I had already told them that issue is in telephone and it is mentioned in my complaint as well) The same person told me "a guy from telephone department will come tomorrow", but no one came the next day(18th).
        2. I waited for the whole day (18th) and the next day as well. Then on 19th evening, I once again called the broadband person (mentioned above in point 1) and he replied that it was not his responsibility to send the other person and I have to log another complaint regarding this. (Note: He never informed me about logging the complaint again before that call, but rather he told me that the other person will come tomorrow). Anyways, I logged another complaint.
        3. Another person called me the next day (20th) and asked me to arrange the timings for the repairing. I asked him to come in the evening after 6:15 PM since I have Office from 8:30 AM to 6 PM, I also suggested to check the outer wiring first in the meanwhile, so that he might need not to come in the evening if the problem is in the outer circuit only. But he refused to this suggestion and agreed to come in the evening but he never showed up. I kept on contacting him for the next 2 days, but he didn't even picked up my calls. I got frustrated on this and had to log another complaint (probably on 24th or 25th) and asked to penalize the last person and also to fix the problem.
        4. Then the issue was resolved on 26th/27th Aug. (Note: the issue was found in the outer circuit only, which should be fixed by the second person only on my suggestion)

        Now, you can see the issue was pending for 12 days and was resolved after tracking the issue on the regular basis which cost me my time as well as my money. Also, each complaint that I had logged was closed after 2-3 days without fixing the issue and without my confirmation which is wrong and one should be penalized hard for this unprofessional act. But here, instead of penalizing them Airtel executives are treating this as a record and had refused to pay me the waive off. Also, the same rejection was not intimated to me even after 2-3 months. Each and every time, I had to call the customer care and had to ask about the status, on which I was told that the the waive off will be given in the next bill cycle (Note: it has been 3 bill cycles after that and I am still not paid). Recently, I was told that my request has been rejected.
        Now, I want Airtel to give me waive off for the delay in the fix of my connection and the waive off for the harassment for these 3 months considering lot of my money and time wasted due to this issue.
        I hope this time I will be paid appropriate waive off.

        Hi,

        This mail is concerned with the waive off (i.e. around Rs 230) for 12 days delay in the Telephone connection repair.
        I have been tracking this issue for a long period of time around 2 months (precisely from Aug 27), but no fruitful result has been obtained. Each and every time I have been informed that the waive off will be done in next month bill, but the issue is still pending.
        My complaint id is 36850848. Following are the interaction numbers with the senior customer are executives:

        Please check the log of the above two interactions. As per the last interaction with Rajesh, I have been told that the request no 12783511 for the waive off has been rejected on 22 Sep, which is if true is totally unprofessional behavior from the person who rejected the request, since I have not been consulted before rejecting the request and also even not informed about any such rejection. Furthermore, Rajesh told me that he has initiated an internal mail regarding this and a call should be expected by me from the AIRTEL executives for the resolution of this issue. But it has been one whole week and I still have not received any call regarding this.

        I have called customer care regarding this on regular basis and no genuine information has been given to me yet.
        I have a job from 9AM-8PM and I don't have time for tracking such type of issues for such a long period of time but still I managed to do so up till now. But now this is the height of irresponsible behavior of your executives.

        Now, I need you to take action against these personnels and provide me waive off not only for those 12 days but also for the inconvenience caused in monetary terms as well as in terms of my time because of irresponsible behavior of your customer care executives. The waive off for the later issue (i.e. over 2 month delay in waive off) should be made in satisfactory amount considering the effort and calls made by me for tracking the issue.
        I hope you will response and react to this mail by tomorrow only otherwise I will be forced to take this issue to district consumer court.

        Airtel — rectify delay

        dear sir i am sendil. I send a message to Airtel office for benefit port service. Instance i received one message from Airtel - Message detail (your unique porting id is AT946469 and the expiry date is 12/04/2011). But still they are not ready to disconnect their service. Once after this incident i did not use or recharge this no but often detected me 10 rs like that they send a msg so for my minus balance is 29.99. it gives only pain to me how to rectify. and i need same no what i have.

        Airtel — No Waive off and not taking my call

        Respected Sir,

        This is Gopi using airtel broadband connection with account number: 14789330 from

        past. Recently I was charged with Rs 2500 due to internet charges. I spoke to the

        airtel executive and said to pay only Rs 1100 and the remaining amount will be waived

        off. The number i got a call from is:[protected], she said her name is Suma.
        I made the payment but the services are not ON. I am continuously following with

        airtel executive and I was told with in 4 hours, 1 day the services will become active.

        Its been more than 2 months since the services are not up. When i call on the

        number that i got and ask for that lady, then they wait for some time and keep the

        receiver. Some times they do not receive the call and some times they say she is not

        here and i will ask her to call you back when she is in. But i do not get any call from

        them and my problem is solved.

        I am continuously getting calls from Airtel asking me to pay the amount and its

        become tourture for me. I am not able to concentrate on my job. When i explained the

        situation to them, they are not listening and asking me to pay total amount. Even i

        say, i will give you the number and check with her , they are not listening to this.

        Please do the needful and help me in this regards.

        Hi, this is the continuation of my complaint, i am getting a calls from airtel and telling that my present prepaid mobile airtel connection will be discontinued if i do not pay the amount. Its harassing me on this.

        Why do you people disconnect my prepaid airtel mobile connection when i have placed the issue in consumer court.

        can some one please take a look and close this issue.

          Hi!

          I am getting unnecessary recorded messages/ calls on my Airtel number and also unncessary sms from from 54321,543212 regarding Some Hollywood Hits, Baba Ramdev messages at odd times.... When i call the helpdesk i am told that these messges are active ...who does the activation???? the co needs to lookinto the matter.... Why are such messages and calls coming when i donot want the same......Everymonth i get these calls/mgs and then everytime i speak to the customer service and deactivate the same.... My balance gets reduced for all these.


          I DONOT WANT THESE SMS'S AND CALLS .. PLS ADD MY NO IN THE DO NOT DISTURB LIST. MY NO IS [protected] - TODAY I HAVE SPOKEN TO MS.PREETI AND MS.LEENA AND MY ndnc NO IS W[protected]- COMPLAINT NO IS CB0SB[protected] AND [protected]

          AirTel — I get the unnecessary message even after getting the do not disturb scheme

          I am costumer of Airtel from more than eight years these date I get the unnecessary message even after getting the do not disturbed scheme. Mostly I get the message from BA-560007 they have sending the message at any time and the same message repeated again and again to my both the Mobile numbers i.e. [protected] and [protected]. Kindly short out the problem at the earliest.

              But it has automatically activated.
              I am trying to deactivate.
              Had called customer care also.
              They are not helping, and not able to unsbscribe the text base services.
              Please help to deactivate the DAILY SUB SUBSCIPTION SERVICE FROM AIRTEL.
              Every DAY RS 01 is been deducted for the stupid DAILY SUB SUBSCIPTION SERVICE.
              Please do it on urgent basis as soon as possible

                Subject: Grievance & Harassment Notice

                SirMadam,
                I have been the customer of Airtel Digital Tv for more than a year now. Keeping my faith in Airtel I even got the subscription of another connection for my 2nd Television.
                I want to bring to your kind notice that on November 8th 2010 morning, I noticed that one of the setup boxes provided by you has stopped working & there is no display on the television screen. Apprehending that this could be a problem of hardware & for quick resolution I immediately decided to log a complaint with the customer care.
                Details of the first complaint:
                Date - Nov-8-2010 (Service request number = 4386626) for Video problem
                It was conveyed to me by your customer care that the Airtel Digital TV engineer would visit my place & Video problem would be resolved by the morning of Nov 9 2010. It was also conveyed to me, I will receive a call from the engineer 30 mins prior to the visit. I also got one sms from your side mentioning above request no and for further assistance I can contact at [protected]. Now, this number always remains switched off.
                I would like to inform you that nothing of that sort happened to resolve any of the issues above. Neither any engineer turned up as per the allotted time provided by the customer care nor anyone from Airtel Digital Tv customer care bothered to call me to confirm if the issue is resolved.
                So without losing patience, on Nov-9-2010 morning, I decided to again contact your customer care to enquire about my service request. Now I was updated by your customer care executive that the engineer has missed the morning slot on Nov-9-2010, allocated to visit my place, but no reason was provided to me as to why engineer missed the slot. This time again I was assured by your customer care executive that the engineer will reach my place within 2 hours & she is writing a direct request to the concerned authority to do the needful. So I was not provided another service request number.
                With full faith I accepted the assurances given by your customer care executive & waited for the engineer to arrive at my place. But to add to the pain no one from your side either visited my place nor anyone from digital TV customer care tried to enquire about it.
                Completely shocked by now, I again decided to call up the customer care myself to enquire about my service request of Video problem. I made another call on Nov-9-2010 evening, to enquire about the complaint status. To my horror, this time again your customer care executive repeated exactly the same lines to me that, engineer has missed the slot allocated to visit my place. Again no reason was provided to me as to why engineer missed the slot. I was given another service request number 4406862 during this call.
                After this call 72 hours passed by & no one from Airtel digital Tv customer care has bothered to resolve my grievance. Testing my patience again, I decided to give another call to your customer care, so I made a call on Nov-10-2010 evening & notified the executive about all the past events. But can you believe what reply I got from the customer care executive, I think by now it must have become clear to you that what reply we can expect from your customer care executives. I received the similar reply, Sir sorry for all this botheration; engineer has missed the slot that was allocated to visit my place. Again no reason was provided to me as to why engineer missed the slot.
                Since my first complaint, 4 days have passed by & today it is Nov-13-2010, we are feeling harassed by the attitude shown by Airtel digital TV towards us as a customer. I also called your helpline number numerous times but all in vein. I’ve even used your Online Query / Request / Complaint Registration Form for complaint but nothing happened as usual.
                I have subscribed to your Mega Plus plan & paid Rs. which is valid till Dec-2-2010. I would like the Airtel digital TV to compensate my loss due to this negligence shown by your customer care. I may inform you that this act of complete ignorance, fooling the customer, negative attitude & discomfort thrust upon me & my family is causing us a great mental & physical strain.
                Please take notice that in case your persistent rash/negligent act as aforesaid results in any damage to my health, Airtel digital TV will be fully responsible for the same. If you fail to take necessary action, I shall be constrained to take legal action against you before a competent court/forum, and in such as eventuality, you will be responsible for all costs & incidental expenses that I may have to incur.

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Company fooling customer with different attitude at same place

                An Airtel Digital TV [Cost of Rs. 1750/-] was installed on 19.1.2009 by your executives and I was told by them that there is a free subcription of 3 months. I have shown the executive of the AIRTEL DTH, the same day's newspaper which is showing the 6 month's free subcription on installatation from Deepak Wali (Dealer No. 1), SCO 71, (An Airtel showroom), Sector 7, Panchkula Mobile No. [protected] [Copy of the advertisement can be seen at my address any time]. The executive have told me to talk on customer care of Airtel. When I talk at customer care, they have assured me that they will take further action in this matter. But no reply of the telephone is received by me till now from customer care, even after two three more calls. Further I have received the sms from AIRTEL that my Digital TV has been installed, but the validity of the connection was not written their. This sms is still in my mobile.

                Now on 20.4.2009, I have received an another email from your office, which is showing a negative balance in my digital TV from airtel's account (Customer ID [protected]-001), which is not a justice.

                Hence I further request to extend my free subscription to 6 months instead of 3 month period as the newspaper was giving to all the general public. In any other case, you are requested to pick up your Digital TV material (Dish and box) after refunding my amount of Rs. 1750/- after deducting the three month subscription i.e Rs. 297/- (Rs. 99/- x 3 = Rs. 297/-) in favour of "Naresh Kumar Rajput" because this discontinuation of service is the fault on account of AIRTEL Digital TV. This refund will be deposited in the another company (BSNL), which will provide better service (all channels at Rs. 150/- p.m. through Broad Band connection) at reasonable rates without any undue harrasment. In case of fault continue, I have to sue you company for this indifferent behaviour / charges from different customer and claim damages from you also.

                Airtel DTH Service — Cheating the customer

                Hi,
                With ref to [protected]-001, this service should be in my name Sudheer, Airtel DTH customer care executive has not updated the Database properly and i had purchased this Airtel DTH service based on the good Mobile Service from Airtel, by paying 2500 i had purchased DTH Service on 1st January 2009 and i was told i will get free service for 6 months but on march 23rd the service got disconnected as we contacted the customer care we were told due to negative balance the service is disconnected, again i had logged a complaint on April 30th 2009, one of your colleague from customer care had apologized and said it is the mistake from Airtel and it will be resolved by the airtel backend team with in 6th may 2009 but it is not resolved till today.And when ever i contacted the customer care they were least bothered to listen to my request they use to disconnect the call.
                I would like to recommend not to take the Airtel DTH connection. The customer service is very careless and they don't respond to customers. Without informing to customer Airtel DTH Service customer care make changes in the package and demand us to pay the charges during the free service.
                stay clear of airtel -is my advise. they have cheated me too

                Airtel DTH Service — I have paid airtel money for dth connection. Connection got but not activated due to their technical mistake.

                I got a free activation kit from airtel dth on sony bravia purchase. They asked me to generate a account by calling airtel call centre, their technical officer gave me a wrong ID on which i reacharged. Now they are troubling me for the activation.

                  which is a prepaid lifetime connection. i am still having that sim card but now this showing invalid after inserting in mobile device, and now this same mobile number is reissue by airtel to any other person who has stolen my identification detail and he is using that number in a wrong way and doing adult massages to my colleagues and relatives who are calling on that number.

                  I have make the last call on mobile number [protected] and i have done the last and final recharge of Rs 10/- only.And i want to inform you that i am not using this number from 19th-september-2010 till now.

                  The number is registered in the name of Mr. Ramshray Verma, resident of H.No. 16/1021 Aazad nagar Rewa (Madhyapradesh) 486001.And also i am already submitted the documents required for detailed verification at airtel office last week but sim card is still on working I would be very grateful if the simcard is blocked so that no one else can make use of it and i would also like to know the procedure as to obtain a new sim card for the same number.

                  Kindly do the needful to block that SIM card ([protected]), any one is calling on this number the suspected person Dheeraj singh recieving call every time and he using abuse language on to calling party
                  i am requesting you to do the complete varification and block that SIM card permanently.

                  For your information i am telling you he hasn't any relationship with Mr. Ramashray verma.

                          My name is Abhirup Datta. I stay in Goregaon(West) , Mumbai. I applied for an Airtel broadband on 19th August,2010. The guy who provides Airtel connection in the building that I stay came over and took Rs 1300/- and the neccessary documents and went away giving the promise that I'll get internet within 2 days.The whole of next week whenever I called him or his boss and asked about it , they said I,am going to get it in 1 or 2 days.Later they stopped picking my calls or rejected them.I needed the connection very urgently but still waited for 7-8 days.I lodged 2 complaints by calling up the Airtel customer care.The latest one had the complaint no. 16086. Whenever I called the customer care a new guy picks up the phone and I had to tell my entire story all over again and eventually I only got the same old promise that I'll get it in 1 or 2 days.I finally gave up on 28th August,2010 , called up the Customer Care and asked to cancel my application and refund my money.The guy said that he has taken note of that and I'll get a confirmation of my cancellation by 30th and my money back within 10 days. No confirmation came and I called up the Customer care only to find that they are not even aware that I have cancelled it. This thing has gone on for long enough , it has caused me lot of mental harassment and I want my money back as soon as possible.

                          It has been nearly a month that I've posted this complaint, only a few phone calls from Airtel customer care asking for CAS number (which I dont have) is all what i've got .I want quick refund of my money.Else I'll file a case in the consumer court.
                          Its over two months now . Few phoe calls guaranting refund within a day or two is all what I've got . Please fix this issue as soon as possible .

                            Customer care person told me that this offer can be availed only through SMS or calling this no. [protected] and not through any other mode and Instalation will be fixed by same day evening, then only I paid for this connection through Credit card.

                            Next Day after so many calls to Customer care they told me that this connection will be given within 2 days, and so far nothing has happened and you people have kept me waiting. I again contacted and told them about this issue and they told me that they have forwarded my query to the installation section and someone will contact me within today (Friday) and will make arrangements for the connection.

                            so far no one has called me and I am kept waiting again

                            I again called [protected] on Friday evening and they told me that 'your installation will be done before 12.30 pm on Saturday" but as usual nothing happened. I had called 4 times on Saturday Nov 13, 2010 and spoke to 4 different people and also one lady from installation team who said that the connection will be given today but she did not give me the name of the executive that is going to come and do the installation and they given a compliant no 4444565

                            Now I am very much frustrated with airtel service.

                              Hi,

                              I want to complain about airtel broadband connection. After many hassles finally airtel has provided me with a connection and this is the 2nd time in consecutive months that my DSL line is down. Last time they fixed it after 1 week and this time it’s the 3rd day going on now. And in all I have taken this connection just 3 months back.

                              I call them every day, and what i get is that the issue will be resolved today, but no one calls to update and nothing gets fixed.

                              My History with Airtel
                              Even from the start, the sales rep promised me a connection within 3 days after filling the forms. This was on June 25th 2010, after when I failed to get connection I raised a complaint as I felt I was cheated.

                              The funny thing about the opening a complaint (ticket) with airtel is that they don’t have any option to reopen the complaint (Every SLA depend on this for productivity).

                              So after I open the ticket, it was closed after some days. After my enquiry as to why the complaint was closed, they mentioned that the first stage of the process had completed and they asked me to put another complaint so that they will start with the second stage. It’s pathetic that I am not able to reopen my complaint. The result was I had to lodge around 15 more complaints to get my connection finally on 31st August 2010, 1 month later. This process also included me giving calls to channel managers, technicians, escalation department etc.

                              And now after 3 month, I still have a complaint on my line not working (which also happened last month) and a complaint on cementing as the wires are exposed on the roads, this is a different issue all together. This complaint as of now is filed 6 times by me and always closed without even calling me or resolving the issue. I am yet to file another complaint on this. And also I had to file complaints on wrong bills etc... All this in just 3 months.

                                I am sorry to inform you that I have purchased 32"Samsung LED TV from SAMSUNG PLAZA , Mahmoorganj,Varanasi on 3.11.10 .I was told by Mr.Dev salesman of Samsung Plaza that Airtel DTH connection is free with this TV and it will be installed at my place within 24hrs. only I have to pay Rs750.00 for recharging the digital TV accounts.Samsung Plaza representative called Mr.Nitin(mob.no.[protected]) head of Airtel service centre to install DTH set up box at my place and he assured me that Mr. Niraj will visit your place on 4th Nov. morning.
                                That is the day I am regular in touch with Mr. Nitin but no one has attended my complaint till date.Now Mr.Nitin is not even receiving my phone call.I had given him message on his mobile today on 12th.Nov.2010 after not responding my calls then he replied that MERA AADMI JAB KHAALI HOOGA TAABHI BHEJOONGA AAP BAAR BAAR PHONE KAR KE PARESHAN MAT KARO PHIR BHI NAHI MANTEY HO TO JO SAMAJH MEIN AAYE KAR LO..
                                This is the reply from the person you have kept here to attend the complaint of customers.Its strange for me how we the customer can relate with your company in future by carring such a bad experience in first time.You please suggest the solution that what next step I should take to avail the facilty which I derserve to have
                                I hope you will take action against Mr.Nitin who has harrased me a lot.and make arrangement to install DTH as early as possible.

                                  I will NOT recommend Airtel DTH to anybody. I was using Sun Direct and recently moved to Airtel DTH. Airtel DTH quality is nowhere near to even Sun Direct. Picture quality of some of the channels are just like as if we are watching cable TV. When i checked signal quality, i found it is always wavering around 40. I have created so many tickets to customer care. Technicians are interested to put ticket status RESOLVED even without calling me or even without coming to my home. The guy who installed DTH claimed that they can give only this quality alone. Guys..if you have small TV, you wont see the actual difference. if you have 42 inch LCD TV, you can clearly visualize the quality difference. It is nowhere matching even sun Direct quality. so far i thought Sun Direct is worst..but they have companion who is more worse than Sun Direct. I have used three DTH so far. TATA Sky, Sun Direct, Airtel DTH.

                                  AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — POOR SERVICE AND POOR PICTURE QUALITY

                                  I got the first airtel DTH in Navi Mumbai, and from the beginning itself the picture quality was very poor.There was also repeated freezing of the picture, and even after numerous complaints, it was not rectified.
                                  Recently I got transferred to Madurai,Tamil Nadu, and I deposited Rs300 in their account and got slot for de installation. But no one visited my address and finally after repeated calls to the call centre,I was advised to disconnect the Dish antennae and set-top box myself and carry it with me. Without any other option I had to do so, all the while cursing the day I opted for such an inefficient and irresponsible company.
                                  But my trials had only just begun. From my new residence, I booked a slot for re-installation.After 3 days of regular follow up the local dealer sent a person, who I am sorry to say, did the worst job of installing the antenna. On being questioned, he said that only this much service will be given in tier-3 cities.
                                  After merely 3 days of extremely poor picture quality, my connection has been blocked, and I am getting repeated SMSes asking me to immediately recharge my account. On contacting customer care repeatedly, I am assured that sufficient balance amount is there , and then I am asked the same thing over and over again about de-installation and re-installation , and each time I am given a new complaint no.,without any action whatsoever being taken.
                                  On the whole, I am extremely dissatisfied with the attitude, service, and picture quality given by Airtel Digital TV.

                                  Another ticket 4465931 is closed without even resolving the actual issue..If you can NOT resolve my issue, you can very well say this is the maximum quality you can give.

                                  Since the installation last week 04/01/2013,I am getting poor quality picture in my airtel dth HD.
                                  First I will tell you what was happened at the time of installation…
                                  I have been using airtel dth normal sd connection since from last three years.That customer id is ([protected]).Now I brought new sony led 26” tv.so I planned to upgrade from my sd to HD..
                                  So I called c.c people,they suggest me to take a new connection on same name & phone no.then I registered for new HD connection.i paid 2390/- rupees for that(receipt no . 8158).next day one engineer came & he said no need to change dish(lmb) only change the set top box, then I said boss this is new connection,not upgrade .he arguing me since half an hour about installation, at last he installed on my same stand same place, only he changed dish(lmb) & set top box, I said at least you change the place because here signals are weak. He said I don’t have that much time. He has not changed even cable also, he installed on my old cable, he gave me some 10 m cable without clamping….
                                  Within 10 minutes he installed & said wait for half an hour automatically it will come & he left away.
                                  Next day I realized some blur image is coming due to poor installation, because from normal wind also it Reduces the signals. So I raised a complaint, citing that signal quality is varying 60,60 to 73,signal strength also.after long waiting one engineer came, he tried some thing through remote control only.
                                  Not physically,he said if the signal strength goes high your tv picture quality will be reduced,I shocked what he is saying ,I am also BE computer engineer,I never study /heard like that. He don’t know ABCD of Electonics then how he will resolve,only he is doing R/D.at last he said there is a problem in your set top box ,without my permission he changed my one day old HD set box, unnessasory he replaced older one set top box .he also said same dialog wait for half an hour it will come,he left away.i also left to office. i got a call from this no regularly no is ([protected])..next day same problem blur image quality.again I raised a complaint about poor quality. Customer care engineer told me the signal quality should be 80 or more. Then yesterday one engineer came his mobile no is ([protected]) I asked him his name ,he denied to tell his name,I said come inside my house,he stand out my door & asked me remote control,then he said every thing is correct, then why u r complaining ,I said boss wait /sit for 20 minutes definitely some variation will occour , he said I don’t have time & he throw my remote on sofa & running away,he said some bad words to me..that is I recorded,whatever he said I recorded…I said plz try to change the place of dish,suddenly he asked me 250/ rupees .i said boss last week only I installed this then he replied me whoever installed ur dish go & ask him only to change…..what is this all are doing there business……
                                  This is ridiculers…….. these r the complaint nos[protected]. [protected]. [protected].
                                  Now my singnal strength is 63-70 variations signal quality is BER:1.8E-04 is this ok for my sony led 26 .
                                  Is it possible more than 80/not……..
                                  I am getting frustrated with having to repeatedly explain to each one of your caller/engineer. .
                                  I am airtel lover since 2002,I have one mobile post paid corporate account.two prepaid account..
                                  airtel picture quality is worst in all DTH connections in india. i have complinted lot of times, but only one time engineer was attended and said this is the only picture quality from airtel.

                                    I am an existing customer of Airtel since last 4 years with cellular service "A/c No.[protected]" and since last 1 and half year with DTH service "Customer ID [protected]".

                                    I had telephonically talked with Ms. Kavita (airtel sales department, Mumbai) and booked another new DTH connection on 23rd October 2010.

                                    Detail is as below:

                                    Transaction ID: 11454665

                                    Amount Paid: 1590.00

                                    Mode of payment: SBI Credit Card.

                                    Area PIN Code: 110074 (D-59, Chhattarpur Extension New Delhi)

                                    His/her engineer came to install DTH on 24th October 2010. The Picture quality was very poor (blurred) and signal strength was 25 % to 30 %. When I asked the engineer, why I is it so?? Then he replied that this is due to set top box and because that has been activated so neither that set top box will change nor blurred picture quality will be better. He also told me that if I want Airtel DTH then I have to compromise with that blurred picture quality, or I can back my money with Airtel,

                                    He swept back (taken back) all instruments and set top box along with him at same time. I also talked with agency manager but his wording was same.

                                    I have talked with customer care executives several times but I am not getting any satisfactory response from them.

                                    when I wrote email to [protected]@airtel.in, then I got a call from Airtel on 28th October 2010 and he asked me to give couple of days to reverse the payment. 15 days have already passed but till now I didn't get my money back.

                                    I have given 2 reminder by email but they are not taking any action.

                                    Now I am very much frustrated with airtel service.

                                      It has been a pathetic condition followed by the airtel people to solve the problem of dead phone as when the people were pestered with the above set of complaints they did send a unqualified person who came and shook the wires attached to my internet connection that I had to tighten it up to get back my connection, and after a wild shake to the wires he said that there is no problem in the dial tone but there is problem in the wire system and assuring us that men will be soon coming after few minutes he vanished, and so ended our hope of our problem being solved.

                                        This is with ref to my airtel postpiad connection no – [protected] which is with me for the past 5 years now, I have been giving a monthly billing of 5-15k per month, which includes my daily calls to my local and international clients as well as my local incoming calls national and international. I regret to inform that since I was out stationed for 2 months for Sep and Oct, it was quite unfortunate on my part not to pay the due amount of total outstanding = Rs 7000. Trust me the intentions were not to pay but to be in a position to pay as I was in a remote location and since being alone here in Delhi I was not in a position to ask for personal favors from anyone to pay off the outstanding, but to my surprise my connection has been kept on temporarily hold and have been asked to pay the total amount and only then my number would be resumed, my question to you is “is that the way we treat an old loyal customer, I did ask the AIRTEL CUSTOMERCARE to help here but it was in vain, am still out of Delhi and am in the remote locations of J&K where to even send a mail I need to go 40kms from the present location, I regret to say that I am quite disheartened and sad about the entire issue, I would be back in town on 7th Dec 2010 and would make the payments only then, in the meanwhile if AIRTEL feels that a loyal customer like me needs to let go just for a pedly amount of Rs 70000 ITS JUST TOO BAD!
                                        Please look into the matter and give me the appropriate way out, I again humbly would like to plead that, its only me who can pay the bill and no one else, maybe I donot want any undue favors. Also this disconnection has caused me problems in communicating, has also hit my Business Calls somewhere.
                                        Please Help!!
