[Resolved]  Airtel — Poor Quality

I will NOT recommend Airtel DTH to anybody. I was using Sun Direct and recently moved to Airtel DTH. Airtel DTH quality is nowhere near to even Sun Direct. Picture quality of some of the channels are just like as if we are watching cable TV. When i checked signal quality, i found it is always wavering around 40. I have created so many tickets to customer care. Technicians are interested to put ticket status RESOLVED even without calling me or even without coming to my home. The guy who installed DTH claimed that they can give only this quality alone. Guys..if you have small TV, you wont see the actual difference. if you have 42 inch LCD TV, you can clearly visualize the quality difference. It is nowhere matching even sun Direct quality. so far i thought Sun Direct is worst..but they have companion who is more worse than Sun Direct. I have used three DTH so far. TATA Sky, Sun Direct, Airtel DTH.

Airtel Dish Tv — no clear picture

I have been complaining for last 15 days
the first complaint was on[protected]complaint no 1062567)

so till today no one has attended my complaint.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — POOR SERVICE AND POOR PICTURE QUALITY

I got the first airtel DTH in Navi Mumbai, and from the beginning itself the picture quality was very poor.There was also repeated freezing of the picture, and even after numerous complaints, it was not rectified.
Recently I got transferred to Madurai,Tamil Nadu, and I deposited Rs300 in their account and got slot for de installation. But no one visited my address and finally after repeated calls to the call centre,I was advised to disconnect the Dish antennae and set-top box myself and carry it with me. Without any other option I had to do so, all the while cursing the day I opted for such an inefficient and irresponsible company.
But my trials had only just begun. From my new residence, I booked a slot for re-installation.After 3 days of regular follow up the local dealer sent a person, who I am sorry to say, did the worst job of installing the antenna. On being questioned, he said that only this much service will be given in tier-3 cities.
After merely 3 days of extremely poor picture quality, my connection has been blocked, and I am getting repeated SMSes asking me to immediately recharge my account. On contacting customer care repeatedly, I am assured that sufficient balance amount is there , and then I am asked the same thing over and over again about de-installation and re-installation , and each time I am given a new complaint no.,without any action whatsoever being taken.
On the whole, I am extremely dissatisfied with the attitude, service, and picture quality given by Airtel Digital TV.

Its the worst and nasty service provide in south india to my knowledge. The customer care is useless and the executives have no knowledge of the packages and the services and more over they dont understand what we say. Once a complaint is registered, they will not attend and say that its already closed. How foolish it is to hear.

Another ticket 4465931 is closed without even resolving the actual issue..If you can NOT resolve my issue, you can very well say this is the maximum quality you can give.
My Airtel HD customer ID is [protected].
Since the installation last week 04/01/2013,I am getting poor quality picture in my airtel dth HD.
First I will tell you what was happened at the time of installation…
I have been using airtel dth normal sd connection since from last three years.That customer id is ([protected]).Now I brought new sony led 26” tv.so I planned to upgrade from my sd to HD..
So I called c.c people,they suggest me to take a new connection on same name & phone no.then I registered for new HD connection.i paid 2390/- rupees for that(receipt no . 8158).next day one engineer came & he said no need to change dish(lmb) only change the set top box, then I said boss this is new connection,not upgrade .he arguing me since half an hour about installation, at last he installed on my same stand same place, only he changed dish(lmb) & set top box, I said at least you change the place because here signals are weak. He said I don’t have that much time. He has not changed even cable also, he installed on my old cable, he gave me some 10 m cable without clamping….
Within 10 minutes he installed & said wait for half an hour automatically it will come & he left away.
Next day I realized some blur image is coming due to poor installation, because from normal wind also it Reduces the signals. So I raised a complaint, citing that signal quality is varying 60,60 to 73,signal strength also.after long waiting one engineer came, he tried some thing through remote control only.
Not physically,he said if the signal strength goes high your tv picture quality will be reduced,I shocked what he is saying ,I am also BE computer engineer,I never study /heard like that. He don’t know ABCD of Electonics then how he will resolve,only he is doing R/D.at last he said there is a problem in your set top box ,without my permission he changed my one day old HD set box, unnessasory he replaced older one set top box .he also said same dialog wait for half an hour it will come,he left away.i also left to office. i got a call from this no regularly no is ([protected])..next day same problem blur image quality.again I raised a complaint about poor quality. Customer care engineer told me the signal quality should be 80 or more. Then yesterday one engineer came his mobile no is ([protected]) I asked him his name ,he denied to tell his name,I said come inside my house,he stand out my door & asked me remote control,then he said every thing is correct, then why u r complaining ,I said boss wait /sit for 20 minutes definitely some variation will occour , he said I don’t have time & he throw my remote on sofa & running away,he said some bad words to me..that is I recorded,whatever he said I recorded…I said plz try to change the place of dish,suddenly he asked me 250/ rupees .i said boss last week only I installed this then he replied me whoever installed ur dish go & ask him only to change…..what is this all are doing there business……
This is ridiculers…….. these r the complaint nos[protected]. [protected]. [protected].
Now my singnal strength is 63-70 variations signal quality is BER:1.8E-04 is this ok for my sony led 26 .
Is it possible more than 80/not……..
I am getting frustrated with having to repeatedly explain to each one of your caller/engineer. .
I am airtel lover since 2002,I have one mobile post paid corporate account.two prepaid account..
airtel picture quality is worst in all DTH connections in india. i have complinted lot of times, but only one time engineer was attended and said this is the only picture quality from airtel.
