[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — Service / no response

Might be that was the bloodiest mistake ever in my life when I decided to purchase Airtel digital TV as a gift to my family. It happened exactly one year before. Literally I never felt such type of poor customer care. We really facing problem from them of no response. And now I fed up. I totally lost my patience now. That’s why I am approaching this way. This is not happening all of sudden. Actually we are renovating our house and doing construction for the first floor. Our workman / labor are facing some problem with the dish antenna and they people have disturbed the direction of the antenna. Now we planned to shift the antenna to other place on same floor. For that, we (me & my wife) are trying from 7th of December regularly to the customer care of Airtel DTH (no.[protected] & 12150). Every time we faced the computerized system and after so many buttons we are able to connect the technical or customer care representative. All the time we received same response from them i.e. “We’ll see the matter and trying to resolve the problem. We are booking engineers time slot for you and the engineers are coming to your residence within this and this time. They will call you before coming, so make sure your presence at home.” But till date we neither receive any phone call from the airtel staff nor any engineer at home. They booked at-least 3 complaints of mine. Every time same response. First time my complaint was booked with the complaint no. 158335 on 07.125.09 and with the assurance to resolve the problem any how before 6.29 pm of 08.12.09, but still no response. We again contact to customer care they again booked my new complaint with no.1592314 on 09.12.09 and time slot was given this time is 3 - 4 pm of 09.12.09 and assurance to resolve the problem before 6.19 pm of 10.12.09. On 9th up to 6 pm after getting no response from them I went to the local service center of my city. There I met a co-operative fellow he listened my problem and he himself contacted to the customer care. He again got the same response and got a new complaint no. along with new time slot. This time the complaint no. is 1595017 and the time slot is 9-10 am of 10.12.09. But the result is same, no response. Mean while I have lost my cell phone with the registered no. I already informed to the customer care executives and given my all the contact nos. for any communication. On 10th after waiting for a long time we contact to the customer care again for so many times. At the last at 5.30 pm I got one direct no of Mr. Vinay Sahu ji ([protected]) to contact. He divert me to another no. of Mr. Uday bhai ([protected]) after two three communication finally he gave me a new time slot for the same day and assured that the problem will be resolved before 8.0 pm. But sir, no response again from any engineer. After waiting up to 8 we again contact to mr Uday, this time he gave me the direct no of an engineer Mr Rajesh ([protected]). He told me to wait up 9.30 pm. And trust me we waited till 10 pm and again try to contact to all above nos. After a long time I got Mr Uday and he told me to wait up to 8.0 am of 11.12.09. Still it is 10.30 and still it is no response.
I don’t know who will receive this complaint, but please sir now I am totally fed up and request you to please dis-connect my connection and adjust my balance to my prepaid mobile connection at the earliest.
Literally I don’t want to thanks in anticipation.

Airtel DTH — No response from service engineers

First few months went with out any issues . Two days back while viewing , the connection got disconnected with a pop up window "no signal ". I called customer care to report the incident . Even after two days , I have not heard from them . I have 3-4 complaints registed for the same issue (2491260, 2483198, 2491246 are them) .... I even had few instances where customer care executive keepng me in hold for 15 minutes and then disconnecting it .



Waiting for a call from ENGINEER (suggested by customer care) . Air tel is not recommented as they give poor after sale support .

Yesteday night I again called customer care and I was surprised to hear from them that all my requests have been attended and issue is resolved sucessfully ... (MAY BE AIRTEL HAVE SOME AMAZING WAY OF RESOLVING THE ISSUE WITH OUT VISITING THE LOCATION) .. After comunicating this information the customer care executive disconnected the call .

I again called them many times to get this issue escalated . How can they resolve an issue with out even attanding the case ????????

The most irritating among them was an execitive called Bala ... he tried resolving the issue him self (that is what he told on phone ) by keeping me on hold for 15 -20 minutes with out any answer (He him self disconnected the call at a later stage) ..... I again called them and asked for Bala ... some one picked the call and I was shocked to hear that in his knowledge there is no one called Bala in that department ........

After tring for few more times I got a chance to talk to a person from escalation team who introduced him self as Malinga Arjun. He was very polite and listened to what I had to say . He said that it was some kind of mistake from service department (some agent from my area) that the earlier requests were closed with out resolving the complaint . he reopened the case told me that saturday 2 PM is the max time it will take to resolve .He even convinced me that this will be taken care as he wil do the followup .

IT IS ALREADY 2.30 PM and no call from any one .....


Let me try once again and see what is happening to my complaint . I am an IPL fan and I missed both semi finals because of the great service from AIR TEL ..... Today is the third day after which I raised the complaint ... no responce from them till now .....

I called customer care once again as I was supposed to get a resolution by 4 PM today and no one called up till now ...... The customer care executive directly passed the call to his senior ... who introduced himself as lal.

He was also very much concerned about my issue ... from him I learned that the new time limit (max) for resolving this issue is TOMORROW MORNING !!!!!!!!

He even told me that I had made 26 calls in the past three days asking for an update on the resolution !!!!

From him I learned that the max time AIRTEL take to resolve an issue is 48 hours ..... Even after 72 hours I am not hearing any thing from them other than apologies and new complaint numbers ........ I will wait till tomorrow morning ... what else can I do ?????

Maine apka airter dish TV purches kiya hai . dish TV leke 2 mahine ho gaye hai. lekin jabse ap ki set up box liya hai tab se muje uski service nahi mil par hi hai. jab maine apke custmer service center se bat ki to . kahate hai ki apki abhi 6 mahine complit nahi hogaye . apko koi charge pay nahi karna pade ga. lekin apki distrubuter bolte hai. ki apko charge pay karna pade ga .
