[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — Set Top box not working

On 4th Nov evening technician came and changed the setoff box, and told us that within 24 hours it will be activated, now it is 48 hrs, nothing has happened, yesterday receptionist from the service centre called me and asked me to pay Rs 750/-. Why should I pay this amount, I have been facing problem from the day I have purchased this connection.
1) within 1 month of purchase the cable was changed.
2) within 6 months of purchase setoff box was changed with a repaired one, which frequently gave trouble.
3) Several time I faced the no signal problem and your tech. would come and fiddle around the antenna and it will become all right.
4) after warranty period for the same issue of no signal, charged me Rs 100/- and did something in the antenna.
5) within a week again no signal problem, they changed the LNBC by charging Rs 160/-
6) within a week Set off box defective ( complaint lodged on 24th Oct) till the problem not resolved.
Who is going to compensate for the mental agony I and my family is going through for last 18 months?
Pls settle the issue without any further delay with a proper compensation.

Airtel — irresponsible behaviour of Customer care personnel

I am the post paid customer of your Airtel and my mobile no. is [protected]. During last month, without any intimation to me, your people have deactivated my caller tune and missed call alerts. A devotional song of Sai, (which is now available on another postpaid no. [protected]) which is my caller tune for the last one year and subsequently deleted that song by your people. I have made several requests for that song but your people are not able to timely respond or express their inability in this regard. Later on my several requests they activated missed call alerts and hello tune but the particular song is not activated so far. This shows neglect attitude and lethergic behaviour by your personnel. Hence you are requested to personnaly look into the matter and take necessary action.

Later now they are not atalking to me as again i call to 121 some friend of mr amit ask i can not help u and ur are not mr anuj bhardwaj his attitude and lethergic behaviour by your personnel. Hence you are requested to personnaly look into the matter and take necessary action.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — non working

as we subcribed airtel digital tv on paying 2000/-cus id no [protected].i relocated on 20th june by paying rs 600.now it say no signal.i called customer care on 11 july they took complaint & forwaded the cal to technical dept.the engineer came & told that we have to pay rs 300 towards service charge.plz solve the issue.it is ridiculous to pay every time.if it happen again &again we need to pay every time.it is not our problem.automatically it happend

this is to inform you that I Sunil Sharma has acquired an Airtel digital tv on 27/05/2009. Have the customer ID no. [protected].
But due to some malfunctions in the gadget (stb), since 03/08/2009, I am unable to view any of my television channels. Its always shows an error THE INSERTED CARD IS NOT A BHARTI TV VIEWING CARD (2). After making successive complains to the authority the was no remedy.
However, on 8/8/2009 an engineer from the your local office occurred at my place, he exchange of my new STB gave me another STB but an old one. The conditions of which is NOT good and its audio video jack is also move up and down and the warranty seal is also broken and it is just like a broken STB. Know what I want is that, since my gadget is lies in the warranty period, I want a complete replacement of my STB with another newer STB. The local authorities have denied me of doing the above but in you help line number [protected] is saying that I will receive a new STB.
I hereby, request you to take proper action against the authorities involved in the mater and help me replace my STB with get newer one.

1. my remote is not working but your visitor who came to my house says as it is in warranty period as it is ok.at that time my digital tv was also not working after 4-5 days your emgineer/visitor came to my house.whenever i call on the custumorcare they replies "that sir our engineer /visitor will come to u house within 24 hours but he have not came.I was unable to watch Tv for 5 days this type of service i get from ur company
2. on[protected] i have made a complain but in customercare he does not provide me the complain no. He gaves me suggestion that Rs 100/- will be charged & even he dont register my Complain.today morning i have made a call then i was able to know that no complain has been registered .
3. it is my request that pls do immediate work on it or Otherwise i have to stop watching tv on your Airtel digital tv

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Setup box not received after 21 days of payment

I had applied for a new Airtel DTH connection on March 10,2010 by paying Rs.1850 through credit card. The amount got debited the same day. However I have not received any setup box nor installation dish so far. I had done numerous phone calls to their heldesk number, but each time they ask about the transaction ID and confirm that the installation would be done within 24 hours. I even sent email and got return confirmation that it will be resolved at the earliest.
If Airtel does not wish to give me a connection, I would like my money to be refunded. Kindly advice on how to proceed on the above matter.

problem in set top box
i am residing at Ahmedabad.my airtel set top box is not working from last 7 days has been passed since i've complained for it..my complain no./reference no. are 2335483,2358586 and[protected].but no one has came to fix the problem. i regularly call at the no. 12150 and everytime they assure me that a representative/technician is on the way,but i dont know what's their problem? such an irresponsible behaviour..very bad customer service.

I have complained for my Set Top Box Not working since 21st June 2010. The call centre guys simply keep the phone down. Delhi office promises to get it done same day. Nodal officers (a bunch of kids) at Mumbai call centre say it will be resolved within 5 PM ....This has been continuing for last 12 days. ALL LIES...

Problem continues...I am sure the company is making a mullah by selling new connections in the name of World Cup at the cost of providing service to existing Service Providers like me.

Imagine having already paid the advance rentals this is the position. Seems like Airtel is continuing its customer cheating practices adopted during the cell phone era into DTH also.

Anyways I want the Set Top Box to be rectified / replaced immediately and I want my money which has been deducted on daily basis for last 13 days since the complaint was lodged back into my account immediately.

I also want the contact details of a Manager level reponsible person's contact details in this faceless organization.

TRAI must make it mandatory for all DTH service providers to put the ESCALATION hierarchy of these companies on their website.

Surely, with the customer ID given above, a responsible person in Airtel would be able to get the registered mobile no.s from the record.

I sure agree with Mr. Jha. I have never received signal properly since the day I got this ugly product installed. After I failed to get any proper response from the local dealer, since Feb. this year, I started sending them e-mails but without any success.

I could see only 20-25 channels earlier, but since Feb. 2010 I could sometimes watch 5 and sometimes 20, but after 25th of June I can watch only 6-7 i.e. 100, 103, 104, 160, and 294 etc.

Twice someone responded around 28th-29th by telling that things will be set right but after 30th June that too stopped. Instead, yesterday I got a SMS on my BSNL mobile phone that my problem has been resolved, and to respond back by SMS <UNSAT> if I was NOT satisfied. Is Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal lisning, when I tried to respond with SMS ‘not satisfied’, since no one came to attend to my problem, they message could not be delivered to the number mentioned in their own message.

Shame on them, they claim to provide world class service, but if you ask me they are just fleecing the public. They are modern ‘CHANGEZ KHANS’, only they differ in their methods of loot.

Will anybody be kind enough to inform how to tackle these people and if possible to arraign them in court if possible.

I am one of the Unlucky customer of airtel Digital TV facing no connection error from last 05 days having 02 complain nos.3431587,3452706 for same problem. they dont have any maintenance engineer neither have any contacts of any associates and ask for resolution on never ending tomorrow.I will request to all readers plz never take a risk to use Airtel Digital Tv service. Now i want to withdrawl my service plz guide me how to get back my account money.
this is worlds biggest looser company, it is expert in cheat to their customer, it is my humbel requuest to all my indian brother&sister dont buy airtel digital tv, it is better to use antena insted of it...

Airtel — Setup box not working and no service available

I had purchased the airtel setup box in the month of April 2010. This was for DTH service. More than 2 weeks ago; around 15th of October 2020 the setup box stopped working and there was no signal.

I lodged a complaint with the service provider but I was just asked to call up another 10 people to get it repaired. However because my subscription had expired I also recharged for Rs 500 on the 21. I was still hopeful that the setup box will be repaired.

However 2 weeks later, there has been no response from anybody and the setup box is still not functioning. I have tried my best but to no use.

I would either want the setup box repaired or want my refund. This is a serious problem for all o[censored]s.
I had raised a complaint 2 weeks back and service request number is 4421563.
I was not getting any channel, the error being, "No Signal Found" and raised complaint.

After calling continuously for 3 days, an engineer came to my home(Don't know his name) and worked for 3 hours.
I was delayed by 3 hours to go to office but still waited for them to fix.
By the end, i got some channels but some were still not coming.
And also, to add on, this is not fixed, it varies every time.
Then they said, problem is with the set top box(which we purchased from airtel 3 months back)
and hence will come and replace it with new one the very next day.

Now it is one week and no one has come and I feel very pathetic about the whole behaviour.
No one is picking my call now and Customer care says the service request has been closed.
How is this possible?This is how they deal with your customers?
We had paid 5 months rent and took airtel dish which I now think was a mistake from our part.
Very sorry to say but horrible customer service they have. Very very disappointing.

We are availing Airtel Digital TV service since 04.02.2010 on payment of Rs.2,600 (one- year package)

But the service has been disconnected on the grounds that our account is showing a negative balance of Rs. 2.85 and that we must recharge upto Rs.70. When contacted the customer care service, we were informed that we have activated ESPN as a channel and hence the account had run to a negative balance.

But we had never activated such a service. The customer care service is highly poor and inefficient. When contacted at 1.00 PM today, we were told about the above mentioned negative balance. But when contacted ten minutes later, the customer care personnel seeked an apology with us for giving us wrong information. I do not understand what kind of a harrassment this is and require clarification from the company. Should we proceed legally regarding this issue?
