[Resolved]  Airtel Digital TV — poor Service

Airtel digital TV ID No.[protected] has been developed technical problems since three weeks back and complaint to the airtel callcenter (Complaint No. 9514416), After repeated complaint to the concerned authorities and call centre for two weeks. The company sent a technician without bringing any instrument to fix the problems. He promised to come back with the instrument to fix the problem. But he did not turned up and there after again complaint to the nodal officer (Ph: No. [protected]) She told me that she will contact the concerned person for repairing. It is very regret to say that no person came to solve my problem till today. I hope the Airtel Digital TV will solve this problems without further delay and compensate me.

Hi,

Service provided by Airtel is very poor. I purchased Airtel Digital TV in June 2009. Now there is some problem with the set top box and it is not working then i made complain to customer care they said we will send our technician to fix it but no one turned up for service for last two weeks.

Service provided by Airtel is very poor and suggest people not to go for Airtel Digital TV.

I have a airtel digital tv connection with name of my father with customer ID [protected] since 16 Aug 09.
After 10 days STV (Setup box) can't standby with remote. Then I logged a complain in customer care on 07-10-09 & complain no is 1182667. After that two guys were come on 12-10-09 to our house with wearing two airtel digital tv printed red colour banion They told that your STV will be replace. No work is process so I logged complain on 14-10-09 (complain no is 1226331), 17-10-09 (complain no is 1242236),[protected] complain no is 1252717),[protected]complain no is 1266068),[protected]complain no is 1271080) & 22-10-09 (complain no is1271080) . My problem isn't resolve till yet. Even is I was talked with Supervisor of Airtel customer care on 19-10-09,20-10-09. After that he also avoid my phone. I think that local cable operator are the best as compare to Airtel digital TV .
2nd thing is that I was add ESPN plus package on 22-09-09 but when I called on 21-10-09the customer care to cancel the ESPN plus package, I came to know that my ESPN plus package was already canceled . But till yet ESPN is coming to my STV.
I made a big mistake to purchase Airtel Digital TV. My suggestion is that don't purchase Airtel digital TV in your life. Who will be the responsible for this ?

AirTel — Bad Customer Care persons...

Hi,
I called the airtel customercare for getting the balance loss information and status information on deactivating miss cal alert service.
First CC lady: Told me that the misscall alert service where deactivated and the amount Rs. 15/- has been deducted before (02.11.09) the deactivation date. So asked her to activate it if the amount for the next month has already deducted. but she told again a 15 ruppes will be deducted for activation. hummm i hanged up
Second CC lady: First i asked about the date of deactivation of misscall alert. She told me its on 01.11.09. Then i told her about the deduction of amount from my account. Hummm She has no information on that... She told the amount has not deducted from my account and after a beep beep call droped. hummmm bad idea airtel.
Third CC Man: I asked for whos is right on both i just called before. he told they have just taken the complaint to deactivate miss call alert today morning (ha ha ha). I told this is a new information to me and three persons have given three different information on same thing. whos right... again beep beep call dropoed. gud idea cc
after that i am not able to call customer care. the are telling just send sms to 121 toll free... WHAT A GREAT IDEA AIRTEL
PLEASE THE GOVT MAY GIVE US THE FREEDOM TO USE MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY FACILITY. SO THAT I CAN CHANGE MY NUMBER [protected] TO ANY OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER..

Airtel DTH — Poor response have not fixed the issue till date

Stay away from Airtel DTH.
I purchased the Airtel DTH and have run into issue from the begining .
First the Airtel office sales person told be wrong rates and after subscription and checking the charges I had to query on call center 7 time to finally get the answer and then had to pay extra . (3 to 4 times they hung upon me) Very Bad...

Then one day the system stopped working (Less than 45 days of installation)....I registered complaint and no response for 3 days ...
Then a person called stating he will visit my flat and fix the issue ...no one turned up ....
Next day I get SMS stating this issue is fixed...not was working , no one came and they just closed the complaint ..I had to register another complain ....new complaint number ....
Then I got another call saying some one will come to falt to fix the issue .. no one turned up ....
called helpdesk again.. same old response , we will send some one soon ... 6 days gone..from the start of issue ...
This system doesnt work ......avoid airtel DTH...very poor customer service..... issues till not fixed

DIGITAL - TV — Complains for bad service....

My name parvendra singh ,i am your existing customer of DIGITAL-TV services,my customerid is [protected].But

Recently i used your DIGITAL-TV services, but sorry to say that your service on this field is very very poor...

I purchased your service but after 1 month i have still no Connection of DIGITAL-TV...Inspite of my regular complain to you i am still unsolvable problems...Even your executes are not interest to solve my problems..they turn down my complain numbers without my prior satisfaction letter...

airtel dth tv — poor service

Hi, I bought airtel dth on 9th Nov. 09. the engineer came 4 instalation is from tata sky, they provide cable 8-10 meter its hardly connecting with my tv. I raised question that time but they reply rudely than I made complain regarding but no action till now.
than there is some problem in stb, again made complain on 17 th nov 09 , i got one fone call on 19th nov. 09 from engineer he said he suppose 2 come 2day, instead of coming engineer i got massage that my stb problem is resolve.
On 20 th nov. 09 i again made complain, god knows what will happen????????
I guess i lost my money 2 buy airtel dth tv.

Hi Airtel Customer Service Team,

I see everytime the same reply as above of not having the proper address of customer. This cannot be true in every case. So please try to give another excuse if you don't have any solutions.

Please ask your company not to do any business in DTH if they are not capable of doing so.

I hope you would understand the value of time of your precious customers and would at least not behave rudly.

Note: You are a human being first before being an Agent (CCE) of Airtel DTH Service.
So please treat your customers precious and be calm while talking to them and yes do take leave if not feeling well on any day. So that customers cas have faith in you.

To Airtel DTH: Either provide a better relationship with your customers or leave the business. I hope you have all the capabilities to run this business effectivly. So teach your FTEs to speak politely and give response asap.

Thanks Airtel, Hoping a good future and better Customer relationship and ofcourse a better reply instead of repeated one next time.

I am Gopal raje urs.B from Mysore and my AIRTEL DIGITAL TV customer id is [protected]..,

I had registered a complaint on[protected] regarding non functioning of my Airtel DTH(STB).., and i was acknowledged with a service request number 1636784 on my registered number ([protected]). and i was assured that the call will be resolved by[protected] before 1.30PM.

Till now no one has turned up and as assured i dint even recieve any call from Airtel.

again I called up Customer Care on[protected] evening 8PM and I spoke to Supervisor Mr.Girish and he assured me that the call will be attended by[protected] before 12 PM.

and[protected] at 5 PM i spoke to one more Supervisor Mr.Chandan Kumar, (reference Number : 1643283) even he assured that a service will come before 6 PM , But result is same, No one from Airtel has contacted or attended the call and problem remains unresolved.

The people sitting in customer care are unable to resolve or transfer the calls to their superiors on questioning they say that the Manager is not in seat. Whenever i call up they say the complaint is still open and it will be resolved within next 24 Hrs.

I really don't how Airtel Company is claiming they work 24x7 when my problem is escalated by 48 Hrs. I was waiting for the engineer on[protected] taking off from office and Airtel service personnels dont have basic courtesy to call up and inform that they are not able to come down.

I never expected such a bad service from a company like AIRTEL

Inspite of having recharged the account in valid time period, some channel was inacctivated. Repeated calls to Customer Care was just to test my level of pateince and harassment to self as a customer.

None of the customer care executives namely Mr. MOHAN could give me valid reason for discontinuation of services and approximate time of resolving my complaint numbers #1698610. They even denied me connecting to their supervisors on flimsy grounds. Prompt action needs to be taken against such individuals and services.
WHEN MY FATHER TOLD HE IS GOING TO PUT A DISH TV WE ARE SO EXCITED .FEW MONTHS WENT THEY TOLD TO RECHARGE WE DID THEN THE THEN FEW DAYS LATER THE DISH DID' WORK

Airtel DTH — Bad Service, they any how get money before comes to visit

after 6 month if there is any issue in you DTH than it will cost you lots ...


Yes, yar... i am calling them from last 5 days, than once they come and told me that you setup box get faulty, you need to repair it and will cost you Rs800, i just start bargain with them and he told me, ok it will cost you 500 and also extend your warranty, i can not understand this, like the problem which cost me 800, how will resolved in 500 + warranty, than i ask NO, so he left and i call someone in surat who is head (someone named with Jayesh), he also deny to repair it without charge and told me that customer care is our boss ( this is first time i come to know that in Airtel, customer care comes at TOP) , i call customer care 2-3 times an than he send me someone around 8:30 PM and repaired it without cost, now what the hell the issue to first guy who come to visit, and another day someone else comes and he replace my set top box , so what the issue with second guy, because it cost me twice ( my set top box is under warrant till 9th March 2010), of service charge, so any how they get 200 from me.

Really bad experience ,and expected from Airtel at least, have mobile, broadband and landlines but DTH is worse experience for me.

Since last two days I have been contacting / complaining customer centers ([protected] &[protected]@airtel.in ) for non receipt of many channels and setup box problem. They (Customer care executives) are confusing me and giving local dealers' nos which are non existent nor switched-off. My complaints registered vide reference nos 2414832 dtd 15/04/10 & 24211812 dtd 16/04/2010. Local dealers are saying that this is not our job and we would not attend this.

in such a scenario, what a customer would do. Having such a network and setup, no-one would expect so poor response from Airtel. If you are not able to provide services how do you dare entering into business activities of digital tv.Plz. try to resolve it otherwise, i would be proceeding legally.
I fully agree with this.Airtel is giving such a pathetic response. I am also Airtel tv subscriber and having problems with their service. I requested for a deinstallation & reisntallation while i was shifting the home. The local service center person gave 5 times false commitment that enginerr will be coming, but never turned up. They do not know how to talk to customers. Customer center is very poor and i am wondering why there is no higher level escalation is provided by Airtel. Totally unprofessional

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — POOR SERVICE

I lodging complaints with Airterl Digital TV customer care from last one week and there is no response.

Every time I call customre care and I am being given new date but none of tehir engineer visited to resolve my problem.

I have never experienced such a worst service. Airtel is undoubtly the WORST service provider as far the Digittal TV is concerned.
This is painful to inform you about the worst experience in my life by taking the service of Airtel DTH. The connection has not been established in last 48 hours. I have purchased a new Airtel DTH connection with consumer id [protected]. The set up box has been installed on 2nd May, 2010. I have paid Rs. 999 on 30th April, 2010 for new connection. I have called to your customer care cell and every time i got false promise to get the activation in next one or two hour. I have had a very good image for Airtel with mobile, but the entire image has tarnished in this new experience. You don't know how to respect customer. If you are unable to provide the service, you don't have the right to hard money of people and display the Annual growth of Airtel by misleading people. I have tried to contact your customer care 100 times in last 48 hours, but failed to get a response. Today, I could not even speak to CCE at 12150 as every time the call gets disconnected.

This is my humble request to please return my money and get you set box back. I will be thankful to you.

I totally agree with the poorest service provided by the Airtel DTH service. My painful incident is that I had paid Rs. 1590 for new Airtel DTH connection on 30th April 2010 using online Credit card and I had been informed on 30.4.2010 through phone (from number [protected]) that my customer ID is [protected] and my connection will be installed and activated within 48 hours. But till today no one has turned up with STB for installation. Today I called the customer care executive at 3.00 pm, but no one had picked up my call. I had also sent a mail to [protected]@airtel.in on 2.5.2010 about this, but no reply.

I do not know whom to contact and totally unhappy with this painful experience from Airtel DTH service. Now I am repenting why I have gone for Airtel DTH service and would be happy if they refund my money.

AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — no response to complaints + false assurances on repairs/services

Dear Sir,
I have an airtel digital TV connection bearing ID [protected]. For past 03 days there has been no signal from the antenna. I registered a complaint bearing no 2659069 on 09 May10 on the cust. care no [protected]. They pormised me that it will be resolved by 1656 hrs on 09 May. At 1700 hrs I called up to ask why it has not been resolved, the cust. care operator mr Asif told me it will be done by 17 30 hrs. But it was not done. At 1800hrs on 09 May I registered another complaint as to why the request has not been resolved (ref no 2662279). I was told that it will be done by 10 May 10. On 10 May I called up the help line . I was told by the cust care operator Mr Sahil that the Engg will visit my place at 1730 hrs. At 1730 when I called up I am being told by the Cust. Care operator Mr Vaibhav that the problem has been resolved from their side and that the problem from my(customer Side) will be done on 11 May10 . It can be seen that they have lied to me all the way from 09 May till now. It is requested that the matter be taken up with their higher ups. Also their contact details be made available to me.
