[Resolved]  Airtel - Dish TV — pathetic customer care & cheap marketing

I had purchased an Airtel digital tv in march 09 & took part in there contest Stars come home, in the weeks time I was informed that I won nokia mobile phone in the contest & then the trouble started. Since then I have been waiting for my prize but I havent recieved either my prize or a satisfactory feedback from customer care department.

After making a number of calls to airtel customer care department & sending them a number of mails, I got a shocking response that my name was not in the winners list whereas my name was even published on there website(anybody can check on there site for my name) since last two months, also mailing there nodal officer was of no use.

Every time I used to call airtel customer care I was told that I will be getting a feedback in next 48 hrs which never happened. Now when I am inquiring about the commitment of the supervisor that I was suppose to get a reply within 48 hrs, the customer care department has no answers & are deliberately disconnecting the call after putting me on a long hold.

This is the most pathetic customer care service I have ever seen or gone through, thus I would suggest that no one should buy airtel dish tv because when you require a customer care service you will get none, even I have tried to speak to their manager who never came on line & disconnected the call. So if a manager of customer care department is avoiding the customers what will his subordinates do & how good the whole department might be, anybody can make out.

Hi Everyone please do not buy Airtel Dish... Very poor customer service and very dissatisfied... They never care for customers. And the quality of the setup box is very poor.

My digital tv of Airtel is not working properly. there is no signal( STAR JALSHA & DISCOVERY). i have complaint to the customer care and complaint no. is 1920429.

i am using dishtv for 3years, but when i shifted my house i picked the dish withouth the clamps holding to the floor, but for reinstallation they are saying that they cant provide the clamps alone instead they only can replace the whole dish instrument itself.

Instead of giving one finger sized steel supporting clamp they want me to replace the whole instument itself for the cost of around Rs.575/-

very very bad service.

Airtel — Cheapest service of airtel

I have recharge my airtel mobile number 2 monthly mo with 98. But it dosnt activate . I call 4 custumore care they tell me that plan takes a hour 2 activate plan . But the plan should nt be activated till 3days left for recharge. They give us only next date n next date i am totally feel bad
I accept all the comment actually they are correct.i'm living in maldives and bought airtel dish tv .now it is half and years ago .we faced many problems like no signal, freezing .i agree that we are living from very far away, but signal gets through from satellite, it should be correct if there is not climate change .now we can see only zeetv, star+, sony, starmovie, hbo and utv movies etc after 10:00 clock at nyte we cannot see anything .only can see the long msg that written in recharge or no signal .pls you people have to think strongly after you selling like this kind of expensive products . also tell us how we can see all the channels from the this products. or else i can say that this product is fake . pls do something .give some good answer
Airtel customer care is not giving proper response regarding the particular channel. Initally I had GOD-TV Channel in my plan now they have replaced any other channel in place of it without giving any intimation and for this we have talked several time but due to their poor service and unadequate informations I still grappling in problem, because I used to see GOD-TV. I suggest you not to take Airtel Dish TV.

Dish TV — No one take care

Dear sir / Madam,

I am Mr.Anail Kotwal, using Dish TV service (dish tv India, essel group) for my 4 television set (service Id [protected]).
I registered compliant on[protected].21 P.M. for reinstallation of Dish,that time my compliant no was 41673961.
Till date no technician visit my home or no one call me.
I call around 20 time on your customer service no[protected]. Every time they provide me new compliant no. & telling your compliant will be resolved with in next 24 Hr. I having list of your compliant no.
I fully fade up from service.

This is various comp lent no which provide without solving problem 41673961 on 13/7/2010, No41758159 on 15/7/2010, No 4180486 on 16/7/2010, No 41805039 on 16/7/2010

Please do the needful action as early as possible

I have booked Hd DTH online .Mr Manoj from Noida who have send a person to collect cheque for Rs 2640/ telling that airtel dish antena will instal withein 24 hrs but till today nobody has come to install the dish antena . Next time before buying, paying for any such product I am definately going to surf for customer issues.
Sadly I have already paid for intallation ofr Airtel Dish Tv which is yet to be installed.

I am one of the customer of your airtel digital TV but sorry to say this is the poorest service in the service sector.
First of all your team is cheating the customers. I am the victim of that.

pls dont go for Airtel Dish TV connection...their services are so pathetic...im bought a DTH connection recently..and when i shifted my house..i called to customer care and made a request for reinstallation of the device...but even after 2 weeks noone came ...i made so many calls to customer care and im fed up with their service. they are very happy taking money from customers...but for service they wont be available...

I recharged my account on August 8, 2010 and the amount has been debited from my credit card. When i called customer care they say amount has not been credited in thier account. I checked with the bank they confirmed the amount has been debited from my account. I called customer care and gave the transcation no. The customer care said gave us time till 11. I have spoken to zillion customer care, they dont know how to handle calls. Customer service is very dirty.I am tired of calling them but i have not got a solution yet.

If this is the way airtel operates, these guys can never succeed.

iam give order dish tv on 05.09.2010 but no one dillivered on time.
no one responce to me from klyan service senter.
want to add simply sports channel top up having balence of 500 rs itself there but no any basturt is helping me out there. i am going to cheng the service provider onwords.i tried 34 times customer care number.but no proper answer evry time new complain numbers for the same problem. i got almost 13 complain number for single problem, but no action for that so suffered alot so going to chenge the service. yogi
Iam a customer of Airtel DTH customer since July 2009. My customer ID is [protected], i faced lot of problem in between, but same was looked after with a day or two, but on 05.09.10, i made a complaint for non working of STB, after making reminders daily they changed the STB on 10.09.10. which is also not working, made again complaint, but every time there customer care executive says that it will be rectified with in 24 hrs.some time even they are not giving proper reply.I think that they are only interested to take money from customers with giving ZERO service.
Now I think that should not go foR Air tel DTH Service.
