[Resolved]  Airtel India — Airtel Broadband: Plan Changed but Excess Amount Not Refunded

I had subscribed to Airtel Broadband Service along with my friends (Connection is in the name of my friend Rajkumar Chandrasekaran) around 3 months back. Initially we were told that an 8 mbps plan was available in our area (Moggapair West, Chennai) and we paid the Airtel representative a sum of Rs 1850/- (Rs 1350 advance rental for 20 days+Rs 500 installation charges of which Rs 250 would be refunded in the first bill). But afterwards we were told that only 2 mbps plan is available. Hence the extra amount that we have paid would be subtracted from our first month bill. Our service was activated on 16th March 2013 (billing cycle starting from 6th date of every month) with a 20 days billing period for the first month.
We were shocked to see that our first month's bill amount was Rs 950/-, which meant that no amount had been subtracted. We contacted Airtel customer care regarding this issue through email sent on April 19th 2013. I have attached a screenshot of the mail for reference.
After a few days of sending the mail, my friend got a call from Airtel that an amount of Rs 1600/- (Rs. 1850 - Rs 250 Installation charges) will be refunded to us through cheque, which they will be sending through courier in 1-2 days.
It has been a month and a half since we received that call, but no cheque has been delivered to us yet. Repeated calls to customer care have proved to be of no use. We want our refund as soon as possible.

AirTel / Bharti Broadband — REFUND NOT RECEIVED --3MONTHS

I have opted for Bharti Broad Band services, the sales guy who visited my place promised me to get it done with-in 2 days.
On complition of all formalities he revised his commitment and says that the hub is choked it will atleast take 4-5working days.

I waited alomst for 14 days but all I got was never ending excuses.
finally I asked for refund of money; and till date all i have from there side is 10-12 days time................ ITS BEING 3 MONTHS NOW.

I would advise anyone going for bharti/airtel connections please ask concern person to check availability of port first.

Airtel Broadband — Non Installationa and no refund

Airtel is getting sicker with its field sales officers making it difficult to trust the brand. I Paid installation amount of 1000 on 6/12/2008 and was told later that the junction box in my area is over loaded so they have applied to the corporation for retrenching and laying a new line... I requested them to refund the money as they are uncertain that how many days it will take to finish the job. One month has passed by and there seems to be no response from them and seems somebody needs a good push to do the job in airtel...

i had payed for the connection as advance of rs 500 but thry asked time for 10 days for the connection after that they told that there is no service in ur place so i cancelled the connection but now also the adcance amount is not refunded iam waiting for the amount for past 2 weeks i had waited for the connection 10 days totally 1 mounth but there is no response every time i call them they r telling wait for 2 days

Airtel — Extra amount has been paid.

This is Benny Jaison here. My airtel number is [protected]. And I am using this number for past 1 year. During the month of October 2008 i was asked to pay Rs. 129/- extra for using internet. But to say the truth i am not using internet and i did not use the internet in the month of October. I had already raised this complaint to customer care and i was advised register this complaint. So I kindly request you the look forward in this complaint and reduce the amount of Rs. 129/- within 24 hours possibly.

I am using Airtel Campus plan for last 6 month, my plan is changed to plain plan even though i have validity up to 30 August.They are saying that my tariff validity is over and if i extend my plan with recharge of 156 Rs/ then my plan is going to change according new campus plan

AirTel — Extra amount not refunded

Hi,
I had a postpaid no from Airetel ([protected]). I disconnected the no 3 months back but I had paid an extra amount of Rs 500 against the no earlier. I was told that the amount will be refunded back to me via checqe but i never got the amount back.
I had to call Airtel 10 times in the first place to get the no disconnected. They took 1.5 months to disconnect the no and the billing continued till then since i already had paid extra amount. Its more than 2 months after disconnection and i have not recieved the amount back.
Every customer care executive has a differebt story to tell, their is no coordination, no process. Rs 500 is not a big amount but the amount of frustration it causes the customers to call their customer care and get a work done is terrible.

Airtel Broadband — Refund not received

Hi,
I have paid Rs 800/- for installing Airtel broadband at my home. However, due to shoddy construction work the Airtel guys did in our society, the Society's chairman denied them permission to continue. Since no installation was done, we demanded refund of our advance. However their salesperson Rakesh Gupta is giving vague answers and so far we have not reeceived the refund.

Pls do not go for Airtel broadband guys.

AIRTEL/BROADBAND — Refund Not received

Hi, This is Amit Verma.
I had applied for an Airtel Broadband Connection on 12th May 2009 from Chandigarh. I gave Rs 850 for the activation of service. I told my proper address to the airtel executives.At that time they said that they will activate the connection within 1-2 days but they take more than one week for this & when they come to my address they said that they have to take PRI lines from very far so it is not possible to give you this connection and the amount will be refunded within 1 month but till now i have not received any refund cheque, so kindly look into the matter.

AirTel — No refund of excess amount paid

I have Airtel post paid connection, recently changed the bill plan. Before changing the bill plan i tried online payment for my last due, i got an error then tried again again error. But amount got debitted from my acount twice.

its happened on 4th sep09, Still i am not able to get that ecess amount reversed back.
The problem is regarding change in my validity talk plan and Gprs charges.

On[protected] I recharged by Rs 99 to get 100 mb data usage and before that I recharged by Rs 65 on[protected] to get 50ps min as STD charges.

The problem arose when I recharged again with Rs 99 on[protected] to get 100 mb back but every thing changed

My talk plan changed to 1p sec validity changed to 2010 from 2012 and I didn¿t get 100 mb usage also


I tried to reach customer support on[protected] and they replied that I will get a call by today itself


i.e.[protected] by 2:30pm and my old plan will be regained but nothing happened like that. And moreover


I didn¿t received any SMS regarding change in charges of GPRS plan


This is what not expected from brands like AIRTEL.

Now What I want is to get my Talk Plan Validity and Internet Usage back ASAP.
i have already written to nodel and appleat officers mumbai but zero and totallu un professional response i got .

Airtel — Refund of Amount & Starting my plan

Dear Sir,

i have started my plan of Rs.66 (on 28dec209) so that my call rate get reduce for one year and suddenly it was stopped on 4th feb. i'll contact the customer care on that day they register my complete no is.[protected] and told me that it will solve on 9th feb. but it couldn't. after that i'll gave another complete no is [protected] and told me that it will solve on 15th feb. till day it is not solve. i'm not getting my benefit of that plan and also paying more money on each call. deposit that extra money on my acc and start my plan. also explain me that how will you give compensation of this 16 days...

Airtel Broadband — Excessive Billing For no Service

Issue:
Movement of broadband services for current address to 443 Windsor Greens, Sector 50 Noida.
Service request logged on 20th –June,2010, Number3410006. I got an SMS that we will get back to you by 22-Jun-2010 by 10:29 :01

That day it took 40 minute to log the request. Then no follow up after that.. I called in today and spoke Yashwant and Anwar. I was told that airtel cannot service the new premises. I was asked to cancel the service request from today date and be billed till 8th July.

I have multiple issues with this:
1. When I put in the request on June 20 and Airtel doesn’t service my new address why should I pay for the extra 20 days or so
2. I paid an initial advance of Rs 1500, which I expect would be reimbursed as Airtel doesn’t service the new address.

According to the resolution provided by AirtelI am totally baffled on various counts:
1. Pay for services which you couldn’t provide
2. Why should I have to do multiple follow-ups for your deficiencies when no one last bothered to call me for the last 20 days. I cant help but wonder is the service I pay for or the hassle I bought in the name of Airtel Broadband

Airtel Broadband — Refund not received since 2 1/2 months

Hello,

This is Kameswara. I have applied for broadband about 21/2 months back. My application number is CHF 1019231.

As there was no feasibility at my home to provide the connection, I was told that the connection is not possible and my amount would be refunded in the next 2 weeks.

This has been happening since 2 months like this. I use to contact them and they reply that it takes 2 weeks again. Every time I send the mail, I just get the same response as below:

I paid him 1650rs for three months in advanced and he told that within 3 days my connection will be activated but still i didn't get any responce from airtel. Apartform this i have complaint many time in your customer care and they told that there is no space in your colony for new connection and they also told that my money will be refunded within one month. But since that day ididn't get any responce from your company side.
I called many time to your executive who came to my home and took payment,. now he is not receiving my call.

Airtel Broadband — for excess bill as concerned

i am maya sisodiya, i had an internet connection for which my id is 4058168_dsl.

i've to complaint for the excessive billing amount charged by you,i'd a limited plan of 599,but my bill had been charged for rs2,533.99,which is more then enough to pay.where as no any extra downloading has been done by us,and no any welcome call has been recieved..

Airtel — Plan changed

My plan was changed without my permission and after doing so many followups
with Airtel I still do not land anywhere.
Tried dropping an email to the Nodal Officer of NCR, and the response I got was unacceptable.
I am really upset with the service i received in regards of my land line :[protected].
Some one by the name of "HEMANT" dropped mail to change plan against my number - and Airtel - Willingly did the same. Then they give me a call stating that the plan has been changed. When I told the guy that I never requested for the same - he said "I am not asking - I am informing" and in case I had any issues, I could call Customer Service.

I have been tracking customer service since then, but no result.
Its been 5 Years now, since i am using Airtel's services. My mobile phones, DTH and Land line are all Airtel. If this doesn't sort out , I am going to disconnect them all and change the service providers. Also, I shall get better plans to all my friends and get them migrated over to other service providers. I have already told this story to some of my friends who wanted to take airtel's service and am going to do so in the near future as well.

Here is the Nodal Officer's mail. I thin they didn't even go through the mail properly - Leave inquiring about the situation :

Further, after telephonic conversation with you on 12/03/2011 and confirmation for the same your plan has been migrated.

bharti airtel india — limited Broadband excess

My number is[protected]. I am sick and tired of complaining again and again. Please check my records of complaints in the last two months.
My internet connection doesn’t seem to work and I keep getting the limited excess message very often. I am shocked and surprise of the broadband services provided by airtel with frequent disconnection of broadband and landline.This is serious pain. I have invested lot of my time, energy and money and just to raise and complaints. It appears you don’t pay any heed. I am paying my money to get the services of internet not to RAISE COMPLAINT WHICH NEVER GET RESOLVED.
This very frustrating for the customer who has an impeccable paying record and in return not the getting service for which the money was paid. Either correct it or admit you are incompetent and refund all my money

Airtel — Broadband connection denied but amount not Refunded

Hi,
This is complaint regarding Airtel. On june 16th,2011 I did payment of INR 800.00 to Airtel for broadband connection at my place. After continuosly following up for 9-10 days, i was finally told that connection can't be provided and my money will be refunded within 7 working days and Airtel customer support will call for same.
As of now(8-July-2011), its 14 working days passed and no one from Airtel has contacted me. My complaints are:
- After follwing up for 9-10 days, I was told that conenction is denied. If I would have not followed up, nobody would have care to inform me. This is pathetic customer support provided by Airtel.
- After disappointment of not getting connection, nobody from Airtel called me up to refund my money.

Please assist me in getting my money refunded from Cheaters(Airtel) who think they have monopoly over bangalore.
