[Resolved]  Airtel Landline DSL — Harassment Calls - Undue Billing

Hello,
I had an Airtel Landline telephone No 41572597 for a period of one year. I shifted to the govt accomodation at Paschim Vihar (Sunder Apartments) and requested on customer care number to shift my telephone (4th June 2008). They conveyed to me that it would take approximately 20 days for shifting to my new accomodation. I waited for appr one month and the telephone was not shifted. I received the first call from Airtel Customer care sometime in the month of July about outstanding bill for the month. I told the person on line that the phone is on shift and has not been shifted to my accomodation by then. They said that they would get back on the issue. Next call I received again next month in August when I made a written communication to Airtel through email. They sent a confirmatory mail of receipt and never got back. Every month thereafter I was receiving a collection call for Rs 1200 that I had been billed for the month of June- July 2008. This is leading to a lot of harassment for a petty amount of Rs 1200. The amount is not significant, however, I would like to fight against such fundamental issues with such faceless office and arrogant call handlers at the service provider level.

Airtel Landline DSL — Denial of My Access on Net

Dear Airtel,

REGISTRATION FOR NET ACCESS FOR LANDLINE DSL NO. [protected] A/C NO. 13687313.

I visited your office at 159, Ind. Area Ph.1 Chandigarh and handed over all
the
documents required to provide me access for my a/m connection.
The lady out there promised me that it will be done on the same day itself.
But
to my horror and dismay. you have not bothered at all to provide the
service to
your customer at all. My dear this bad service to your customers will not
lead
you anywhere and I have half the mind to switch over to a better service
provider. the e-mail ID was also intimated in writing i.e.
[protected]@gmail.com. kindly wake up and do the needful at the earliest.

Airtel - Landline — Harassed in Shifting

This is to inform you that, I have faced a lot of problem while shifting my land line from A-52, Ground Floor, Ashoka Enclave Part – II to 107, 1st Floor, Ashoka Enclave Part – III.
My land line number is –[protected] with account Number 13153748 registered in the name of Manish Anand. I requested the shifting of this land line with request number[protected], the line men came and did all the wirings but without dial tone. When I called up Airtel the said that it will get activated within 24 hours but was not done after making several calls, I decided to go for disconnection and discontinue this service.
It is ridiculous, disgusting and very cheap behavior from a service provider like Airtel.

Airtel Landline DSL — Pathetic after sales services

I got a conncection of airtel almost 5 months back for landline and broadband. All the instruments including Modem and telephone instruments were provided by the company. After 2 months due to faulty instrument/line the earpiece volume of the instrument could be barely heard. I registered a complaint on helpline, to my surprise the complaint was closed without even a visit. Second time someone visited but this time also complaint was closed saying that instrument has been replaced. Third time again complaint was lodged, this time someone from company technical team came and told that instrument is faulty, but as per company policy we can only provide you the second hand instrument. This shows completely unprofessional behaviour of the company and its personnel. Highly pathetic after sales services and I had to opt for disconnection of services of the provider and opt for another service provider.
