[Resolved]  Airtel Postpaid — Cheating of Air tel in Mumbai

I am a postpaid subscriber facing network coverage issue in indoor and outdoor from the day of activation i.e June 2006. The customer care 121 promising to solve the issue very soon and they are working over the issue and by that time they are charging me without providing the network. how this company is doing all this is beyond an ethical business. This info I am submitting in this site for the public to be aware of this big giants and avoid troubles.

Airtel , Post Paid Service ( Mumbai ) — Network

My Airtel service has been down for over 4 days, and the comapany maintains the stand that only a small percentage o[censored]sers are suffering. My thought is probably over 2 million subscribers of airtel are miserable for the last 4 days, and Airtel has not bothered to advise when this nightmare would get over.

I have writted to them several times and the response is always about a temporary glitch which shoulld be resolve shortly. I have been a user of mobile phone for over 10 years and have never expereince anything like this. This is a black day in the wireless journey of this country and not a single media channel ( print / tv ) is even talking about it.

Guess this is the power of advertising spend !

I wonder what what a company may have to spend in damages in a developed country where the customer is valued and there are regulations to protect them against such wanton apathy from telco companies.
I had applied for post paid plan 199 CUG & Airtel representative Mr. Nimesh contact no. [protected] provide me a SIM[protected] on dated 01/09/2008. He assured me that it will activate with in 24 hrs. But after regular follow up still it is unactivated. I had spent about 100 rupee in follow up. I had lodge comlaint on this site on dated 11/09/08 & 14/09/2008 as well as Nodal officer Maharastra on dated 12/09/2008 & 19/09/2008. Can Airtel Bharti tell me that it will activated or not. If reply is in No then I can go for other service provider.

I am also facing lots of problems with my Airtel number and Airtel network in Mumbai. I am not getting any network at my place in spite of reporting to their highest complaint authorities several times. I am also not getting any missed call alerts even after the subscription. I was assured several times that my missed call service is active. I am also unable to contact to their customer care representative inspite of my several written complaints. These guys are simply doing nothing.

At last, I can say that Airtel services are totally untrustworthy and I am a victim of the same.
I am using Airtel for last 06 months as a prepaid costumer.
But, in the third week of december 2008, I got a call from the Airtel office that you can convert your prepaid connection to postpaid.
As my monthly usage is quite high, I accepted the offer.
The very next day a person came to me to collect the documents and Rs 300.00 for the Postpaid connection after that on next day a person came to verify my residence and office address, after that on 26th December I got my new Postpaid sim activated.
But Suddenly on 02nd January my outgoing calls facility is terminated.
On 03rd January I got a message from Airtel that Please submit your documents to the office from where you have purchased the Postpaid Sim.
I dont know their office and on costumercare also no one is responding me.
I think I have been from Airtel .
I appeal to all of you please never go for the Airtel Service as they are cheaters, if they want to make you a costumer they will call you hundred times and they will send their representative to your place any time, but after that no one is taking care of the services.

find the attached bill, in that u have charged 143INR for late fee, why i should pay from past 3 months i was asking for bill, finally u sent on last friday and u charged penalty for me mistake is totally from ur side, mine is corporate i cant pay from my pocket we need proof for account dept i, e E-Bill i was asking, really i was expecting lot from airtel but nothing


"send me new bill excluding that late fee, clarify with ur bill generating team rivert me as early as possible to make payment"

eventhough my connection has been terminated more than 6 months back I am still getting bills every monthg with late fee.I've repeatedly requested your billing department to settle the original bill instead of sending meaningless new bills. I am pretty much convinced that it's a ploy to cheat law abiding citizens like me.
I intend to file a cheating case against whosoever it may concern unless this issue is resolved in the next 1 week

Airtel — Lot of AIR but not TEL

Airtel service seems to be pathetic...i had clearly mentioned atleast 4 times to the airtel executive - that i need the connection urgently. They said they can give only within 4 working days.

They took the cheque for Rs.500/- and till today they have not given any feedback on the status.

what happens to the money //// what is the status of my complaint///no idea///

The executive does not pickup the call

it is more than 8 days now...no reply ...the call centre says someone will call back...no calls....since they have taken the money from the account ...they should have the basic decency to atleast inform the status....so that i can proceed with some other company ( some good companies like TIKONA or TATA or Reliance )


I will definitely not recommend airtel broadband connection to anyone

I am geting misscall from the number [protected] (Mumbai Airtel), Can anyone let me know how can I get rid of from ringing. Also please let me know how can and whome I should I need to complaints agains this number.
