Airtel rejecting my MNP application
I am using airtel no [protected] (Kerala) for the last 5 yrs . And i want to change my mobile operator Through mobile number portability from airtel to IDEA.
And i went to IDEA show room and i submit my id proof and porting charges.

But i receive a message from IDEA that Airtel mobile operator reject your porting . Because of Contractual obligition. Actually in my case there is no contactual obligation with Airtel because mine was an individual normal postpaid connection. they are simply delaying my complaint saying somany lies. Actually MNP is a customer right. but here airtel is denying that right for me.

I am planning to file a complaint in consumer court for compensation.

I contacted my airtel customer care about this issue no one has respondig . Please. Help me sir

Airtel — rejecting MNP service

i requested for MNP to change my operator to Docomo ..But Airtel provider is not co-operating to change the provider .. please take corrective action.

Airtel sucks! :[protected]@:[protected]@:[protected]@. Its CEO, chor executive officer should get punished for looting millions of costumes!

One month ago i requested to port into docomo, airtel called me and promised to me some good offer if i stay with them, after that i cancelled port-out, then later they didn't give me the offer for which i cancelled port-out, after that i again asked for port-in to bsnl, but in 14th february airtel rejected my port-out request for 'legal reasons'. Since then i tried to call 121/198 more than 100 times from different numbers but always 'congestion on this route'!! Now i've again sent to 1900 to get upc code but get 'error' reply! I need urgent help! I can't bear and afford the looter airtel anymore. I'll make my minimum 50 friends to leave airtel. I PROMISE!

The list of such complaints go with out an end.
Airtel is using cheap techniques to hold the customers back.
They are not releasing the UPC and only on follow ups they do it.
They too rejected my MNP request at first.
Having associated with airtel for last 4 years, I used to give business of 3500 INR on an average to airtel.

Their executives called me frequently, asking and requesting me to stay back.
They were requesting many times with long discussions.

The serives charges were so high and they never had good practices to keep the customer happy.
Now they are trying all these cheap techniques.
Hi all i am also facing the same problem. please can anyone tell me where to file complaint againt airtel.

This worst company trying to fool customers...

Call charges are very high. My port requests are canceled 2 times.
Even no use to contact Nodal officer and Appellate officer.
Call charges are very high, even rate cutter is not available.

But i receive a message from I that Airtel mobile operator reject your porting . Because of Contractual obligition. This has happend to my mobile no also airtel preaid no. 9987****** (clarification can be sought from my alterate no. [protected]). I submitted MNP request on 17/2/2011 - same day by evening I got a call from Pune (I came to know they are RETENTION TEAM) AND SAID THERE IS SOME TECHNICAL ISSUE IS ON, so they are unable to port out to Idea. They repeated the call on 19/2/2011 and said the same thing and on 24/2/2011 I got a sms reply stating my porting request has been rejected due to contractual obligation. I went to their Chakala, Andheri Gallery and met their Manager. Mumtaz and raised the above issue, unfortunately at the end I could not port out to IDEA due to this dirty trick played by the so called retention team. I am not going to leave the matter, I will be taking up this issue with Trai, also I am definitely going to port out from AIRTEL

But i receive a message from Aircell that Airtel mobile operator reject your porting . Because o[censored]PC code mismatch. Actually in my case there is no wrong filling o[censored]PC code,They are simply delaying my complaint saying somany lies. Actually MNP is a customer right. but here airtel is denying that right for me.

I AGREE WITH MY COMPLAINT
I have applied for Mobile Number Portabitlity of My MTNL Trump Mumbai (GSM) pre paid No.[protected]. i obtained UPC code and applied to the new service provider Videocon with relevant documents. However, they have informed me that my current service provider MTNL has rejected my porting request under reason 12003, which nobody knows what it is. There after i visited to mtnl customer care office as well as spoke to mnp section and they due to some technical reason my request is rejected asked me to apply again. Again applied however, to utter shock now mtnl has rejected on the ground existing contractual obligation. The service of MTNL is very bad and they are not allowing me change my service. They are harrassing common man like this. i dont know when i will be in a position to change my service provider?????????????
hi friends.. i am also facing the same problem.. i am using the airtel no [protected]. i want to change the aircel. so only i submit the correct proof to the aircel show room. in few days, i have received the msg from aircel that was " airtel has rejected your mnp.". i contact immedianly to airtel customercare. but no responce to give me. after 15 days i wil try mnp another time.. no use. airtel is cheater group. please avoid airtel. then what the solution for that problem.. please help me...

My self Vikas Mittal (Airtel [protected]), 5 yrs old no, But Airtel is rejecting my MNP request also.
At last after 1 and half month of struggle, Now I ported out from airtel and Port in to Vodafone .Thanks for letting me to port out now.
Airtel is absolute FRAUD company. Their billing is erratic. They have not enterred customer details correctly (at least mine and several others that I know) even after repeatedly producing documents (i gave my documents 4 times!). They rejected my porting request sayint Upc mismatch. When I called customer service, I was cut off abruptly and left hanging repeatedly on a dead call. After that my number was blocked from 198. I had to call from another number to get the customer service. After threatening with consumer notice and complaint to TRAI, i was promised response in 24 hrs by TL Karthik. Then i get sms and email response that i will be contacted within 3 days. It is 1 week over. Today I sent reminder. Tomorrow I will forward the complaint to TRAI.

Stay away from Airtel. They are cheats.

airtel has rejected my request citing some legal obligations. i have called 198, 999 and even met airtel personnel at customer care point karve road pune. All gave me different reasons but no one was sure.
Can airtel please explain the LEGAL OBLIGATIONS. Airtel has to stop fooling around with customers as we dont have time to waste on them.

AIRTEL has rejected my MNP on the ground Contractual Obligations f. Already i have raised a complaint to the customer care.No proper actions are take. I am a prepaid customer and i do not have any dues..Please some one help me on this..I wana port to IDEA

we all must get united to teach airtel a lesson in this regard and discourage people to opt airtel.
