[Resolved]  Axis Bank — Poor service and over charging

Dear Team,

I really appriciate the kind of form you have prepared for customers. Please read my email chain below and help me to get the justice. This is what happened with me after I did one oversease transaction in AXIS bank.

Dear Team,

I have transferred SGD $600.00 but got equivalent INR for just SGD $560.00. I inquired citi bank about the charges and they charged SGD $10.00 as the transaction fee but where is the rest SGD 30.00.
If you have these many charges and transaction fee then what is the benefit of having this account? Please revert.


Moreover, Please read the below mailing chain conversation which I was having with my Account's Relationship manager regarding the same.

Moreover, I have some more things about the services.

If I am not wrong, I initially told you about the poor (rather no response) response from the phone banking team of AXIS bank and when I was in India you told me to call you for 24X7 service for any issue what so ever. Were those just the words for luring customer and for the first impression thing?

I am also in Banking Industry for now more that 5 years and please don't pressure me to tell the whole meaning of "BANK". It is not the one time thing rather it is the life long thing.

I really feel very bad not just because I lost money, it is because I feel cheated.

I missed out few things in my previous email.

How can you say that there is no bank which is not charging any thing on the remittance as of now in India and Axis bank have the least remittance charges in the Indian Banking Industry.

ICICI is an Indian Bank and charge just SGD $5/- on transactions below SGD $2000/- and NO CHARGES on the transaction over SGD $2000/-

AXIS bank charged SGD $30/- for one transaction and the rate which I got is SGD $1 = INR 30.4 which is lesser (few points only) than ICICI bank. Please check the link "Exchange rate calculator" on the website "money to India" https://m2inet.icicibank.co.in/m2iNet/m2iNetLoginForm.jsp

So, I request you to kindly rectify your perception about AXIS Bank.

Initially i suggested you to go for priority or prime account only because these account types enjoy better benefits than the basic account.
i have given you information brochures each and every time i met you which includes a brochure of schedule of charges. also the same brochures have come in your welcome kit as well which gve detailed outlay of the remittance charges.

sir, there is no bank which is not charging any thing on the remittance as of now in India. we at Axis bank have the least remittance charges in the indian Banking Industry as of date.

i have been your relationship manager at karkardooma branch and i am not bound to deal with the service isssues of my previous branch i am providing you my services as a dedicated relationship manager out of my own wish and will. i hope you acknowledge the same.

If for every inward transaction INR 150 are the charges than why you have not informed me this earlier.
This is the worst banking I have ever can across. Ever this is what happened with my wife's account, we have deposited Rs. 7000/- and got only Rs. 3500 and now you are telling me that for every transaction Rs. 150/- are the charges.

i will follow up with karkardooma branch about the charges today and get back to you in a days time.
also, you hold a basic account with us so for every inward transaction you make there is a 150 INR charged from axis bank's side. i request you to upgrade your account to priority or prime category to avoid these charges. the transaction also depends on the exchange rate of SGD to INR as well. please provide me with your updated telephone number asap as i would wish to speak to you on phone to resolve this matter.

Dear Sir,
I am customer of Axis bank from Last 2.5 years as salary basis account, My debit Card has been close & I fill the form for new card from Branch EAST OF KAILASH, NEW DELHI-110065 from 20 days ago but I have not recieved any debit card & so please send me debit card urgent basis, please see this point immdietly. if this is you fast sarvice so very 2 thank you for this sarvice, other bank sarvice ony 7 days for debit card but I think your sarvice is 31 days for dilivered the debit card.
