[Resolved]  Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd — INSURANCE OF CAR

I undertook a Comprehensive Insurance Policy for my car─ MH 12 ET 4692 from Bajaj Allianz Company for the period 09 May 2009 to 08 May 2010 vide their Policy No. OG[protected]-00001181. One week before the expiration of Policy, Company employee, Mr. Kishore Gardade- Employee No. BG 09579, visited my residence for renewal of the Policy for my car. He asked for an amount of Rs. 4035/- towards the renewal of the policy; which was paid to him by the cheque (Bank of India- 784765 dated 30 Apr 2010). He gave me a receipt for this transaction; and the cheque was realised on 10 May 2010.

2. However, despite the receiving the consideration, the Bajaj Allianz Company did not award me the policy; and I kept repeatedly inquiring about it, but in vain. In spite of reminders for almost two months, neither I received the renewed Policy nor any communication in this regards. Also, no reason or clause was explained by the Company Rep. It is submitted that Company was repeatedly reminded to expedite since it is a mandatory legal compliance to have the vehicle insured and carry the Insurance papers in person.

3. On inquiry, it was told that Policy has not been issued to me despite the payment. I contacted Ms Sheetal, Ms Sonam, Ms Vandana, Mr Akash, Mr Jayesh and Mr Imran of the Bajaj Allianz Company at different occasions, but to no avail.

4. On 22 June 2010, my vehicle got damaged; and I asked the Company about the Policy details, I was informed that my Policy has not been renewed and I had no option but to bear the repair expenses. The amount spent on repairs by me was Rs.12570/- only.

5. In view of the above, following is requested:

(A) Since the consideration was already received by the Company, how could Company refuse to issue the policy? Why did company not inform me about the non-issuance of the Policy?

(B) Since the Policy was not issued by the Company, I have been forced to travel by taxi incurring an amount of Rs. 8500/- because without Insurance vehicle can not be used on road. Also, the likely loss of property/life involving my car in case of an accident would have been attributed to me for no fault of mine.

(C) Owing to non-issue of the Policy by the Bajaj Allianz Insurance Company, I have been forced to re-insure my vehicle from another Insurance Company, i.e., New India Assurance on 25 Jun 2010, by paying and amount of Rs 6135/-.

(D) On account of this, I was forced to undergo an immense mental trauma, deep harassment, physical inconvenience and financial losses due to deficiency in services by the Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company, for which I should be adequately compensated for by the company.

6. I would earnestly request you to direct the Bajaj Allianz Insurance Company to adequately compensate me for the financial losses and trauma suffered by me. All the relevant documents, namely, Receipt, Policies and Bank Passbook extract are enclosed.

Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co. Ltd. — Non issuance of proper policy papers for my car

I had taken an online policy for my car. The payments were made by me through credit card accepted by the insurance co. vide receipt no.[protected] dated[protected]. Consequently after regular reminders I could receive the soft copy of the policy no. OG[protected]-00001359 on[protected], which had certain anamolies. The complaint was made by eMail on[protected] and a verbal dicussion over phone with Ms. Pooja Gupta, who assured to correct the anamolies and send the revised policy soon. It is now over one week and I have not received the fresh policy causing inconvenience to me as I am not able to use my car without proper papers. Repeated complaints are of no effect. The insurance co. is not even bothered to reply to my mails.

Kindly help.
