[Resolved]  Barclay Bank Credit Card — Extremely Pathetic Customer Service

Hi,
This complaint is for very poor service of barclay bank. I applied for barclay bank credit card last year in 2007 however I have not received the card till now. and I complaint for the same many times on their customer service number and also I wrote many mails to them however I got only electronic reply in which written "Thanku for writing to barclay we take this request seriously" however nothing has been done so far. I also received call from their mumbai head office and they knew about that issue however they said it's not there job whether u receive the card or not they have forward the complaint to Backend department. Same reply I got when I call on customer service number. These guys are sucks can not provide good customer service. receive so many messages from barclay bank and get so many pamphlets at my residence address. This is completely . Barclay customer service is really poor.

i have not any credit card of barclys bank.but i receved so many calls from your bank for the dues of credit cards. i have not any credit cads and any loan on barclys bank. please don, t bother me .
This with the Credit card Payment issues of my Card no : [protected].

As there was a outstanding of 22, 000 and change in my credit card which is mentioned above which I was having some discrepancy and requested for clarification to the payment department in Chennai. One of your executive advised me to Pay Rs.22, 500 to settle the payment and close down the account. As per the advice of your bank executive I paid the amount of Rs. 22, 500 as on 14th March. I was expecting a final settlement letter saying all the credit is cleared which was advised by you execute who have called me.

Fortunately after 5 months time I got a call from Your Chennai branch saying I need to pay 5, 400 change as a outstanding. Which was really shocking. As there is no near by branch in Bangalore or I need to relay on your executive who are misguiding me to get the payments.

I would like to request to wave of the extra charges and send me the final settlement letter which is a reasonable amount. As its not my fault and I have no communication from the back for last 5 months and said by your executive that it the fault from the Mumbai branch.

Barclay Bank Credit Card — No statement generation process

I had used my credit card for 15 K in June 09. I repaid the amount by 2 transaction. 10 k was paid on 24th June and 5 K was paid on 30th june. Due date being 26th June. I haven't received any statement from 5th July thats being my statement generation date. Even on 5th Aug, 5th Sept the statement was not sent, hence i assumed that i didnt have any accountability to repay any thing.
Now, on Oct 15th I received a statement with date 5th Oct saing i need to pay Rs 299.17. When I called the customer care, they said thats the debit interest till the statement generation period(till 5th Oct). When I asked why it was not informed on 5th July. They don't have an answer except - sorry, it was a fault from our side. I received a complaint to revise it via no CAS 2562580, but yesterday when i called them to see the status they said again the same story, fault from bank's side and they wanted me to pay it. I have a due date of 26th Oct. They raised a new complaint after i spoke to their supervisor on floor, and she gave me new CAS no and asked to wait for 4 working days. I don't want to pay for bank's mistake of not generating my statement on time. Please advice how to deal with this. The supervisor claims she doesn't even have my correct address on their system even though i had received their 5th Oct generated statement at the said address.

Barclays Credit Card — 3rd class credit card company

barclay credit card is 3rd class credit card company i have barclay card from 2007 i have got lot of problem from these barclay credit card company . there collection department don,t have sense how to talk with there customer, there language is like 3rd class categorize , barclaycard they r fooling there customer while giving wrong information about there card service, government must black list barclay bank in india .

Barclay Bank Credit Card — Unfair bill raised against my credit card no.4339 481999685700

Dear Sir,
Barclay Bank have raised bill of Rs.6741.60 on dated Dec 12, 2008 against Barclay priority
Circle Plan but I have never applied and accepted of this plan, they never told me terms and conditions and member ship fees of Rs 6741.60 and after getting this statement I have given
cancellation requests of this plan many times.
They generated the bill of this plan on dated Dec 12,2008 of Rs 6741.60 . As soon as
I got this bill I requested them many times to cancel this plan and revert this bill because of
earlier also I was not intersted in this plan. Why barcaly executives are forcing me to accept
this plan.
In this statement of 10 Aug 2009 they have deducted Rs 6741.60( BPC Fees with service
tax) but they have not deducted the whole amount of bill i.e 11820.20, which was made on the basis of Rs 6741.60(BPC Plan) and I have never used their credit card and they are giving threat to register the case inCIBIL for the amount which I have never taken and never used their card. I have requested so many times for cancellation of credit card also but they are raising bill with interest and penalities again and again. Kindly help me to get rid of this unfair bill and cancellation of credit card also.

It has been quite a number of times I have tried contacting the customer care over the telephone to cancel my credit card, but to my surprise has not been entertained by any of your executives.

Request you to take this as a high priority and take this issue to closure as I dont want to take this to higher level of escalation, but if this continues I am not left with other options.

I'm in an on going dispute with these . They won't provide proof that I received a purchase I made online (product was a joke - returned and merchant wouldn't refund charges). I did a charge back for the item in April of 09, received a credit for two months then they found in favor of the merchant without providing me proof as to why. I'm at the point I have to take them to court now because I have three collection agencies calling me. I've complained to the attorney general, FCC and FDIC and these clowns continue to up my late charges and interested (even though I called and refused the last rate hike and they sent me a letter showing that I had closed my account - DUH). If you truly want no protection and want your 800 credit score hosed - go for it :)
I have a problem of double billing where they have charged for the same transaction twice. In spite of sending confirmation from the big bazar and their banker Axis bank, their call center is not aware of the progress in the matter. Moreover they have only given a box no. for posting letters when it is difficult to prove of despatch and courier confirmation. E-mail replies are lacking substance.
Yup you are Barclays is pure , they are money grabbing , my suggestion would be not to go with these . I ha a credit card with them, those [censored]s kept charging me additional money for nothing and i didnt even know. I used my credit card and it was less than the limit they had allowed me. Suddenly they reduced my credit limit & started charging me overlimit fee. They are thieves. Saty away from barclays.

Barclays Credit Card — Getting SMS In Spite of NOT being Barclays Card holder

I am not a Barclays Visa Card Holder but still i am getting regular SMS mentioning that I am valid Card Holder.It is Strange.I have also inform them for that six months back still i am getting SMS.I have never received any Barclays Card.Pl look in to the matter.Is it possible that some one is using Card issued in my name ! pl. verify.

I was used Barclays Credit Card past 7 months, and I make the payment is full amount and verify my begining stage. Because my bill was received in proper period.

But the march 2008 bill I could not received in time. So, I make a call on 01/04/2007 to your customer serivce and I request send me bill immediately. but I receive the bill only 02/04/2008 it was next day of my due date and again I received another same bill in
after 4 days. So, I don't make any payement because it was a courier Mistake. When I received the april Month bill in proper time and make late payment fees interest and etc., so I am again talk with your customer care officer he was not resposible for me and
I make request to kinldy revert the additional charge. But he said sorry we are not responsible for this compliant. So, I told him to I will pay the which ever amount used by me that only I pay you other amount I not intersted to pay for you. And May month bill I make only which amount was used by me that amount only I Paid. Now my bill was only
the late fee and interst charges and service tax.

Kinldy revert the amount for my use to future the Card. Other wise I am not interested to continuing the card. Kindly Close the Account.

But Barclays was close my card in july month of 2008 but the bill amount was generated every month and made a non payment charges, interest tax etc., finally I received near by abov 20,000/- . It is not my default in mean time my name was host in cibil.

Beware of their foreign transaction procedure. I called them to advise of a large charge from France coming in two days. I was told a note would be put on my account so it would go through. Of course it was denied, wondered why I had bothered, knew it would happen. They send me an email to approve the transaction. I respond immediately and it take two days for the transaction to be processed. Of course the exchange rate went against me in the two days, costing me another $50. DO NOT EVER EVER use this card for foreign transactions, there many more out there that are much better and have NO transactions fees as well.
I'm only giving it a "1" rating so you know that today's date, 09-16-13, was THE day I was getting ready to call LL Bean Barclay Visa to cancel my card of over 30 yrs. Love LLBean jeans and some other things, and the free shipping, BUT Barclay's shocking lack of knowledgeable tech staff (all are nice enough), caused me to waste over 5 months of phone calls, resets, over and over, as NO one at Barclay could figure out that the reason I could not access my account online, as I had succesfully before the changeover. It all infuriated me so much, I was willing to start paying shipping----way to much $$ for sending and returning---it's all been free.

Then, a wonderful woman in support Finally told me I had to install Google Chrome to make it work. DUH, NO one else could figure that out? I have Windows XP and no other online account of ours requires a customer to know that. FIVE MONTHS of montly phone calls, and each time up to 30-45 mins of waste as they reset user, pw, I'd get in, and Wham... next month, NO way would it work.

Today it took me, still 20 mins to figure it out, as my pw reset would not work, but the security questions finally showed up after I ch anged it once again, and retried later, and it worked. A door finally opened.

I wrote angry letters to LL Bean and Barclay about canceling if this was going to continue, and today, it finally worked with the Chrome download from before. I received NO response from either, and in fact, lots of other customers have complained since the change to Barclays.

One female tech support after hours of monthly calls, sat with me for one hour helping me finally make it work. I commended her And her boss, so they know they need some more training. man oh man... this stuff exhausts and exasperates me!
