[Resolved]  Blackberry — Service Centre

I have a airtel blackberry set 8310. The display of the same is not working. I asked the customer service on [protected] that this is the problem on 1st oct 2008 at 8:00p.m.. So the prompt reply was please take it to customer care. i was given 2 addresses of Authorized Customer care centres in Delhi - one in South ex and one in NOIDA. Since I live in Patparganj, Airtel Blackberry Centre, Shop no. 225, Shoprix Mall, Sector-61, NOIDA, was nearer. I was told a time of 10am-6pm as working hrs. I reached the centre at 10.25 AM on 3rd Oct 2008. There was no one at blackberry complaint desk. The Airtel people say the concerned people will come at 11. I reconfirm after 20 minutes, they say Mr. Shiraz at Airtel Blackberry Centre was on leave and someone else would come at 11.25. At 11.25 on inquiring that no one has come, they say Blackberry dept is on not working till Monday i.e 6th Oct 2008, after, e waiting for 1 hour. Still no one at the desk. I had called customer care at 10:35 to complain that no one was at thed esk, they refuse to take a complaint and have no clue as to who would be the responsible person to reply. they say, its the service centre people only. Net of net, after a 1 hr to and fro drive and 1 hr of waiting, my net result is zero with no one to complain to. This is blackberry service? Where do the consumers go? what can they do? Airtel is cash rich on base of its customers- customers who can do nothing about their plight and there is no central body to take up their issues. This is INDIA

Blackberry 9360 phone — Blackberry in warranty but they are ask money

Blackberry in warranty but they are ask money for line come in display. but when i go blackberry service center they are telling me your mobile in warranty but u have to pay charge for line in display not cover.

I have a blackberry 9900. It had issues wherein a thin line was displayed on the screen, so I gave my phone to blackberry service centre - Redington India Ltd, Cunningham road, Bangalore on 26th July. I was then asked to collect the phone back on 7th August.
I went there on 8th August and they gave me back my blackberry without resolving the issue. On raising my concern, they took the phone back and told me they will call me and will provide me with the status by next day (9th August). But they didn't call !!! So I had to visit the centre, again !! On inquiring about the status - they told me that the concerned person is on leave and they can provide the status by 10th August noon - and that didnt happened too !!!
So, my phone is at the service centre from past 15 days and I haven't been given any clue as to how long will they take.

Hoping for a quick action against it.

I had given my hand set of blackberry 9300 phone to AC Care, Shop No. 163, 164, Under Ground, ph[protected] at Bikaner on[protected] which is under warranty period and the Job sheet number is 3975.
The problem was .

1. My Track pad not working.
2. Network problem.
They accepted the phone for the above complaints. And they promise to fix the problem in 10 days. Its being already 14 days that no progress is being made.
The customer care center executive says that he has no idea how more long it is going to take. The same has resulted in pecuniary losses apart from causing inconvenience. I can't wait for so long to get my BB back.
This is something called deficiency in services under Indian Consumer Protection Act, 1986. So it is requested to you that in order to avoid legal consequences, I am requesting you to give my mobile back within this 3 Working days.
I really appreciate if you do the things better.

Blackberry — Very poor service and cheating

I, Firdose Lala, residing in India – Mumbai purchased Blackberry 9780 model in November 2011 from Planet M stores at Santa Cruz East.

In July 2012, I started having a problem with the “P” alphabet where in if I pressed “p” any sms or message would just be sent.
Next day the problem escalated where the mails etc. would automatically open and be deleted or sent etc.
The cell was immediately switched off and sent to your Redington - Khar service centre thru an associate – the complaint lodged likewise.

Some ten days down the line my cell is returned to me with a broken and totally non functional screen and I am told the warranty is over.

PLS NOTE THAT NOT A SINGLE SCRATCH WAS THERE ON THE SCREEN – MATTER OF FACT EVEN THE INITIAL SCREEN GUARD WHICH COMES WITH THE PURCHASE OF THE CELL WAS NOT REMOVED TILL DATE- HOW THEN WAS THE SCREEN BROKEN AND SCRATCHED???

ARGUMENTATIVELY AND VERY LOGICALLY – IF AT ALL THE SCREEN AND ETC. WAS DAMAGED DURING THE HANDOVER TO THE SERVICE CENTER, WHY THE SAME WAS NOT RECORDED IN THE SERVICE REPORT / RECEIPT PROVIDED TO ME ????

WHY MATTER OF FACT WAS THE CELL ACCEPTED?? IT IS VERY CLEAR AND I THINK ALL EXECUTIVES WOULD KNOW THAT THEY WOULD NOT ACCEPT SUCH A CELL PHONE UNDER WARRANTY…..

This is not ethical.

Post all this I have personally visited your store and you have been very helpful and understandingly written a mail to this effect to one of your offices in Bangalore or Chennai but no revert from there…

Is this the service level and trust level an international brand of such high standing should be having ???

I request some strong intervention from someone senior and I want a clear solution – which in this case would definitely be a new cell of the same model or an equivalent one.

I write this and expect a revert at the earliest and a fast resolution as I think I have exercised enough patience.

Please note here that I have been using a BB since the past three years and my earlier cell was also a 9780 model.

If somehow a revert and solution is not wrought, I will have to take the help of the law, consumer court and forums and the press simultaneously to get justice to my case.

it has some internal prob, as it is in guaranty period request you to replace the handset . it create so much problem for me my all official calls and mails are coming on it and it get off in every 10 min . I am facing this prob regularly since last two months .

I have submit my mob to blackberry service center kota on 9 August and also send mail to Blackberry customer care on "[protected]@redington.co.in" today after 12 days handset is not moving from local service center for repair and Contact no which they have given no one is attending call on that on toll free or even on Mob no they have given me . This type of attitude on customers complain is ridiculous . Black Berry has good name and image, but facts are different

Blackberry — Mobile handset not working 3rd time within 5 months of purchase

My Blackberry 9300 Mobile Handset with IMEI no. [protected] has become inoperable for 3rd time within 5 months of purchase.
This is bring to your notice the harassment which I have faced and still facing after buying a BB phone .
I bought the phone on 10/06/2012 from spice outlet at Rani Bagh, Pitam Pura and since then phone is not working properly . The phone was lying at service centre of Black Berry from past 2 months.

Please find the list of problems faced by me in last 2 mnths :

• None of the person at the service station is ready to give some proper and permanent solution . I have visited the service station atleast 10 times and finally after so much argument with one of the senior manager ( Mr S K Garg) I managed to get the fresh handset .
• The fresh handset I got which was also having a same problem . .
• Always lingering on the things . None of the person is ready to give some permanent solution . Even senior members of the team are not behaving professionally . Today after two months these people have not been managed to resolve the issue.
• Have also sent mails on customer care id’s but no response

Sir i bought blackberry8520 on the date of 29 aug 2011
with 18 month warranty.after few month phone start hanging and switched off
during the call and before few days the phone becomes dead.on the date of
17th aug 2012 i visited varanasi blackberry service center after checking
they take my phone and ask me to come after 15 days,on 13th day i get a
call from redington india ltd,and the person told me that my hand set is
liquid damaged. may be it absorb moisture from somewhere and u have given
it for repair on local shop.whatever he is saying is never happened,and why
i will pay to local shop when my phone is in warranty. and right now
consult person is not picking my phone.I am feeling very bad because of
this.need ur help.here redington is giving very poor blackberry service and
trying to loot people.my friends also suffered with this.Blackberry is
reputed brand. and i am sure that i will get positive response from

Blackberry — its more than 35days i amnot getting back my phone from service center

I had purchased blackberry 8520phone in march, on the 2nd day it has problem in it. Then i went to service center, they had given me duo letter after 1 week, then i got a new phone on 4th april, after using this phone for about 3 months , its keypad had a problem,its not working. I went to the service center on 23rd july2012 and they kept my phone and said me to collect the phone in 7to10 days.After 8 days when i went to the service center they told me to after 2-3 days, then after 2 days i again went there, they again said me to come after 1 day, we will definately give you your phone.. From then onwards they told me to come after 2 days. Today its 30th August they haven't given me my phone back.. i had gone around 12 to15 times to the service center for collecting the phone but unable to get back, I WANT YOUR HELP For getting my phone back or my money back. Kindly suggest me what should i do now?? Its more than 35days.

Sir,

I am sorry to say that the service provided by Blackberry to its customers is very poor. I was facing Audio Problem in my Handset Model No.BB8520 which was under warranty scheme. Hence i gave my handset to one of your service provider M/s B.M.Trading located in Patna but my handset was returned to me without repair charging me Rs.220/-
I therefore fail to understand that how can such a new set returned to me with out getting it repaired and charging it to the customers. The reason behind given to me that the there is a liquid was found in the set and therefore the set automatically goes in non warranty.

I am very much dissatisfied with the service provided by your company and therefore i am going to file a suit against your company which is charging money to its customers without providing service to its clients in Consumer Forum. I wanted to give you prior notification. The documents is attached herewith.

As suggested by blackberry support services Redingtone, I visited blackberry service center of Jamnagar, Gujarat(triotronic electronic).
First time they charge 500 Rs. For repairing but still problem is there.
Second time they replaced new battery and total charged 2200 Rs. But still problem continue.
Third time they are still finding issue.

Dear Sir,

As a Canadian who has been living in India for the past 20 years, I felt extremely proud when RIM launched its Blackberry mobile phones in India; and in spite of the fact that I have to pay the service provider (BSNL or Indian Telecom) virtually twice as much as my husband, who has an I-phone, for half the service, I was determined to stick with my Blackberry Bold (PRD[protected] purchased in October 2009. Now, I can only say how angry and disgusted I feel with Balckberry/Redington.

The reason I am writing this letter is to tell you about the tremendous difficulty I face in getting this phone serviced. The fault for the ringer not functioning properly (it can hardly be heard) may lie with me for having dropped the device. But the main problem is that the trackball is not operating smoothly. So I purchased a Backberry Curve (9220), expecting to be able to transfer the data from one phone to the other, while I got the Bold serviced.

Having visited Delhi recently, I went to the Redington Office (Lajpat Nagar) expecting to get help in saving the data from my Blackberry Bold and transferring it to the Curve. I found the staff extremely UNHELPFUL. They could not copy the data, they said, even though I had brought both phones and all the spare parts, disk etc. that came with them. On the other hand, I was told that the only place in the whole Subcontinent of India, for “hardware” problems was Bangalore, in Karnataka, which I think is quite ridiculous in a country this size! I live in Kerala, way down South, and had been previously advised that I would have to send the phone to Bangalore. All my own efforts to download the data (addresses & phone numbers, calendar reminders and various applications) to my PC, had been unsuccessful and I cannot afford to lose any of the data saved in my B.Bold. Various young relatives working in the IT sector have also tried but to no avail.

As a further illustration of how unhelpful the staff at Reddington were, I enquired as to why I was no longer able to see my log whenever I pressed the “phone” key, and was getting my list of contacts instead. This, the technician told me was a “software” problem – which he could rectify by updating the program – but this meant I would lose all the data stored in the phone. I refused. It was by sheer accident, two days later, that I discovered that I could switch from log to contacts and back again with the trackball!

Now they are saying you have to visit Reliance web world to activate, if service center takes handset, it is their responsibility to provide working handset while returning back to customer, why should customer go here & there? In web world they always ask for Id papers, & other formalities? Sometime if the connection is corporate it become very much difficult to get the papers, while collecting the hand set we provide all the papers then why again

We are in India, Mumbai. At least you have responded to our query but Indian Counterpart not replied us nor bother to pick up the concern in-charge cell. It is really ridiculous and unethical to suffer a customer in your hand and wait for couple of weeks for the needful.

Kindly update me immediately regarding the replacement of my cell phone immediately or else provide me a standby phone immediately as it caused me lose my business and face losses. Or else I will have to go to Customer forum(customer court) to get me a fair justice.

I have been not able to use the BLACK BERRY Bold since 2-3 months due to many defaults in the piece. You may check the same in your workorder. Even worst thing is that the network problem, certain places I am getting network on other simple handsets of other mode but not in my above blackberry piece. Speakers are not proper, getting hang again and again, e-mail are not opening in same box but opening in common folder. Battery getting drain very fast and line goes on hold while talking on the line and redials authomatically later stage and many more.


Since 2 months only your dealers, updating the soft ware and twice sent for repairing to your services centre by keeping the cell for more than 10 days in each case. I humbly request you kindly replace the same with new piece with proper working condition or else I will not accept this if you send me the old piece back by doing service.

Hope you will do the needful and not forcing me to go to Consumer court or media to resolve my issue.

Blackberry — false commitment

I have given mobile headset in Blackberry service,Dadar on 8th oct12 bad as per commitment I need to give me my headphones in 8-10 days but after almost 50 days I still not received my headphone. I visited there nearly 4-5 times but they are giving me same answer. Please help as this is not just about a headphone but its about FALSE commitments.
