[Resolved]  compaq presario c700 — no sound

I am not getting sound from my presario c700 notebook.Whenever i am installing the driver (Connexant High Definition Audio) one message is coming like " Driver Installation Failed: Could Not find the MEDIA Device For this Driver"

dear i have a solution of this error i was facing this problem for last 1 n half year and finaly i resolve this error contact with me i ll tell u how to do this ok

Actually presario c 7oo is one of very good note book. there for i got a new one. but acually what heppenig means the windows xp is not sopported to this note book. some time it tkaes but sound is not work. i don't know what to do... please tell me how to solwe this problem???????????????? normally i don't like to working with windows vista.

I think, i[censored] have ever heard a sound from ur laptop and now u r not able to do, u should roll back driver using the following instruction:
start ->control panel-> sounds and audio devices-> hardware->(click on the "conexant high definition audio" in the list)-> properties->Roll back driver
This solution worked for me. I hope it'l work for u 2.

I have got a laptop of COMPAQ make and model pressario C700.Its keyboard marked 'DELETE' have got detached.I am not getting any service centres in varanasi where it can be repaired.Please let me know the same where it can be repaired.
