I too had paid 5.5 lacs to DD builder back in 2006. His office gave me a cheque after several followups which had bounced. Later than in 2013, I had hired an attorney too who had told me the case is close to completion and charged me 15000 for adding my name to victim's list. Later he told me money distribution has been stayed by the Supreme Court. Nothing has happened since then and the attorney too doesn't reply. I had also done bounced cheque case but that too didn't affect him. Seems all these rules are for only honest people. So finally I come to the conclusion that I will not get back my money and if I pay anything to the attorney, that money too I will lose. So the lesson learnt is: NEVER INVEST IN INDIA.
