sir i have applied for voter id card photo and address correction IN FORM NO. 8A in may IN LAJPAT NAGAR VOTER OFFICE. But till now nothing had happened. i went there about 15 to 16 times but every time i have to return blank.
Every time they say that my card is in pending. SIr i hope you wioll take immediaTE ACTION.

i and my parents had applied for voter id card at the time of 2011 Tamilnadu state election registration drive .we have received id no & they announced that the they will issue the booth slip card(with photo,address,name...and so on) first due to the hurry of election. we have put vote in 2011 state election and 2012 counsilor election.(not only us the lakhs of people in Tamilnadu )by using that copy. but yet we have not received the orginal id card. plz help us. As i am doing b.tech final year i need the card for applying campus drives.. so pz help me....

This is in regard to change of name on voter id card. I am unmarried however on voter id card instead of Fathers name husbands name is written.

Incorrect info- Husband's name- Rakesh Kumar Sharma

We had been issued Voters ID Cards for our 3 member family. Details in all 3 were wrong. My sons DOB was mentioned as xx/xx/1991. What was the whole point when the DOB is not mentioned? We reapplied after a lot of circus, the reason given by the authorities was - `the camp has closed and will be back next year'. We finally got our cards after one year with incorrect details again. 2 questions- why does the staff receiving our applications not acknowledge on the acknowledgement slip that they have received the application? why should there a camp? voters ID is a serious business and should be made available to the citizens 365 days a year. now it is serious business only for the private contractors who set up camp once a year. we are not able to contact them regarding the mistakes in the ID Card as they would have closed camp by the time we receive them. dear election commisioner sir, pls take matters seriously and minimise our trips to the corporation offices. we get insulted, pushed out, applications sometimes thrown into the dustbin and then get cards without correct details. ph: [protected]

Hello Sir/Madam,
I'm Shivkant Gote, since last 6 years I was trying to get voter card/id,finally i've got voter card, (Now i come to know how difficult it is to get voter id) but has many discrepancies in it. Even after providing sufficient document proofs,our election officers are not able to process it properly. The information that was filled while applying for voter id in the application form, is completely different on voter card, i'm worried how such mistakes can happen.

My & Father's name on the voter id card was spelt incorrectly as Rahul & Father's name is Rajapal instead of Rahul Kumar & Father's name Rajpal Singh. The online records on the electoral roll show my name as Rahul & Father's name as Rajapal whereas it should be Rahul Kumar & Father's name Rajpal Singh. The prescribed Form 8 that should be submitted for the correction of any details on the voter ID card was submitted in FEB 2012.
