[Resolved]  Godrej Pentacool — Pathetic Authorised service provider - Supertech pune and and hope less responce from godrej HEADOFFICE PUNE

I am very much annoyed due to my decision of buying a Godrej product. As I didn’t knew the service quality of Goderj at that time.

I have purchased Godrej Pentacool which suppose to be the very best and innovative technology provided by godrej in the year 2005.But didn’t knew the quality of product was so bad that I have to replace my compressor within ten days of purchase. At that time also after escalating the issue Godrej people were ready to replace faulty compressor.

Now again I am facing problem after 4 years. Recently I have shifted to new house. And while shifting gas pipe got damaged because it was not place properly (within fridge boundaries). This issue I have got solved by a local technician in front of me.
After that immediately in next day my fridge stops giving cooling effect. So this time I called toll free no and launch the complaint 833253.
After two day one person came to my home from Supertech (Authorized Godrej service center) services with any equipments. Yes but he was prepared with a receipt book to charge me. He didn’t even bothered to open the fridge or check anything in fridge. And straight away he told that we have to replace compressor. Reason my stabilisor.According to him my stabilizer is wrong and rejected by Godrej. They have replaced this stabilizer where it got distributed( it was provided by Godrej only during my last replacement of compressor and it was working fin from last 5 years). Over and above he said I have to immediately pay the cost of Compressor+ gas filling and new stabilizer SUM around 4000/- I refused same stating that with getting product I will not pay. So he went back. After two-three days I called Supertech and request to take money. After taking the money there was no call for 2-3 days. When I got the call I came to know that they will take my fridge to their workshop and do what they want. I refused to do so. And now today I called Godrej office Mumbai and talked with Mr. Rajan he assured me that he will arrange a proper visit of a technician and diagnose it and then only any action will be taken. But Just now at 12.50pm today my wife got a call from Godrej head office that we have to send our fridge to workshop without that it cant be solved.

Latest update :I got a one more call from Godrej Pune head office. and the person other end directly told me the problem in fridge that “ it’s a pumping issue. And might be compressor got chocked” so it has to take to workshop. So I asked him how you can judge the problem so accurately and who has told to you. Obviously answer was “The technician”. But when technician haven’t even open the fridge and told me very confidently that its compressor issue and it has to be replaced. So now where this pumping and choking issue comes in. and when we have to change the entire compressor then they should go and solve the pumping and choking issue. At the end I agreed to sent my fridge to workshop but in return I asked him give me a written statement that “THEY WILL REPLACE MY COMPRESSOR WITH A NEW ONE WITH PROPER SEAL ON IT” as I have already paid charge for replacement of compressor and not for solving choking and pumping issue. Then his comment was I need to talk with my manager AND CALL ME .Now I am waiting for his call lets c how he respond to me now.

Now I am having fun by paying charges for the such world-class service from past 2 weeks.

again i would like to add few more things happen in referance to to above post.. finaly last week supertech services replaced so called damaged compressor ( no one knows wether it was realy damaged)... but if forgot to bring the stebilizer for which i have already paid the amount...
but even after changing the compressor there was no cooling effect.. and ice formation was not happening... again i asked to repopen the complaint to goderej help center...
so Mr Kiran came again to home and identified the now there is pipe choke up problem... and went back with a cmiitment that he will come on monday 13-dec 2010 tosolve the problem and also bring the stebilizer...but he didnt came which was expected... and today on 15th dec10 i got a call from supertech workshop that we coming to collect the fridge for repair...and i refused to do so.. and talked with goderej head office pune.. to do something about it...

now who is going identify that my earlier compressor was good and there was a problem of choaking and supertech charged me 5000/- for compressor change or for choaking ...
Dear Hemant,
I am strogly agree with you. I have also buy a Godrej refrigerator in Jan 2011. Within a year I have to fill a gas twice in the refrigerator. Its really poor quality product. Now a days its quite difficult to believe on Godrej Product.
