[Resolved] ICICI Bank Credit Card — Unnecessary Write off
In the year 2006, i received a balance transfer offer to transfer all my dues from my SBI credit card to the ICICI credit card. According to the same, i received a demand draft for around INR 64000. As the terms & conditions accompanying the DD were awkward, i did not use the DD to settle my dues. After talking to the customer care unit of ICICI bank, i sent the DD back to the Mumbai office of theirs. But now, after all these years, when i accessed my CIBIL credit report, the card was said to be "written off" (closing the account without recovering the money after the lender loses faith that the borrower will pay). As this spoils my credit report, i contacted the credit card division of ICICI bank and they are still processing my request. I submitted the request with the card number, my personal details and a copy of my CIBIL report and proofs that i did not use their DD. Its been a week since i requested... i do not know what makes them take so long... please look into the matter... Was this information helpful?
