[Resolved] ICICI Bank Credit Cards — Wrong debit of charges | |||
This complaint pertains to my credit card that I was holding in 2002-03. Card number is [protected]. In the statement dated December 2002, ICICI bank charged annual fee of 750+375(for primary and secondary card). I spoke to their customer service team and told them that I would want to discontinue the card but they promised me that Ci could continue using the card and the charges would be reversed. I made the payment against statement of December 2002, deducting the annual fee and service tax of rs. 19. Interest was charged from the following month (i.e statement of January 2003 ) . On again following up with their customer service team, reversal of rs. 375 was made in the statement of Feb 2003, along with interest charges pertaining to that card. Please note that the reversal for the primary card of rs. 750 was not made. The reversal of Rs. 750 was made in the statement of March 2003, but the INTEREST CHARGES WERE NOT REVERSED. This interest amount kept growing and finally in September 2003, I decided to stop using that card. Every month, i made payments for all purchases made on the card and ignored the interest amount. Subsequently, there was a late payment charged and interest levied every month until September 2004 . Also, annual fee of Rs. 750 was charged in December 2003. All this interest amount and late payment fee amounted to Rs. 7964.22. My grievance is that the reversal of annual fee should have been made along with the interest amount in the beginning. Sometime in November 2012, I received a letter from the bank about Lien and that I should contact their customer service team if I had any dispute. I visited their office in Koramangala on 15th November 2012 and was told to contact one Mr. Jayaprakash[protected]. I wrote to him giving a month-by-month statement and highlighted my contention in those mails. No action was taken by him until MID January 2013, when he wrote to me and asked me to get in touch with Deepak Raj[protected]. Meanwhile ICICI debited Rs. 7964.22 in my savings account on 15th January 2013. This was grossly wrong, since this amount was disputed and I was in touch with their team at that time. I met with Deepak again and he assured me that the amount will be credited back into my account, and then the issue of wrong charges will be studied and resolved. Nothing has happened till date. Dear Sir,
It has been communicated to you several times by me earlier also,that
this CC was lost in a pick pocket,more than 2 years ago,and the same
was blocked by me through your phone banking services then only.This
CC has not been used by me from then onwards and after repeated
requests made through your phone banking channel,I wasnt getting any
CC Statement from you during more than last 2 years.
Till the time,I was using the CC and was getting regular CC statements
from you,I have made regular payments in my CC.
Now,suddenly if you ask for more than 77K from me,after more than 2
Yrs.,it is shocking and completely unacceptable for me,since I have
never used that CC to that extent and as per my records,there was only
approx 6K amount O/s in my CC when I lost it and blocked the same from
further usage.
For your kind information,I have some old and present running loans
from your bank,where you can find my RTR is pretty good.
Under this circumstances,I would request you for an one time
settlement of my CC where in I am ready to pay upto 10K(onetime)and
close the same.
Otherwise,if you are not Ok with it,I need my CC transaction statement
from the day of CC issue upto the last transaction on my CC-with the
details of each and every transaction,so that I can take up the matter
further with your Bank as well as with RBI Griveience Redreesal Cell
and with Consumer Forum.
Hope,you would allow me for a speedy one time settlement of my CC for
an urgent closure of the matter.

ICICI Bank Credit Cards — Bogus earning methods
I settled payments of ICICI Credit card in 2006. Yet, I continue to receive outstanding bills every month in my e-mail junk-box. I am fed up.The general public is warned in their own safety interest not to fall in for credit cards issued by agents of ICICI. You shall end up being a prey in the clutches of ICICI. Indeed Aisa Waisa bank. I regret patronising them.

ICICI Bank Credit Cards — Levy of late payment & Interest Charges
Dear Sir /MadamI am in receipt of your letter Ref. no D1/8157/6461/[protected] and regret that without verifying details you have handed over to your collection agents Southernland Global services for using strong arms tactics to recover unjust and arbitrary amounts charged to my credit card.
Further, I received a call yesterday i.e. 9-March-2011 informing me that my credit card will be upgraded to Platinum Card as a valued customer. On one hand you inform me that I am a valued customer and want to upgrade my credit card and on the other hand you want to use strong arm tactics to recover undue and unjust amounts. The details are given below for your ready reference.

This has caused me mental agony and taken a toll on my health. In case if you are not prepared to resolve the aforesaid issue I will have no alternative but to discontinue use of my credit cards. Awaiting for positive reply from your end.
