[Resolved]  ICICI Bank Saving Account — ATM DECLINE CHARGE

I have an account with ICICI bank(Saving), on 18 feb 09 i went to ATM thinking that there is sufficient amount i fed the amount of 1000 rs. But there was not suffiecnt amount to ATM declined, I am seriously Unhappy and amazed to see that the bank has charged me some 28 rs for non sudfficient fund.

This is sort of fraud at the banks end

Yes, I am also facing the same issue.
ICICI deducted 28Rs from my account around 10 times.
Please suggest how to proceed if possible
I had sufficient amount in my account inspite of that they had charged me declined charges. I do not understand some sort of minting money using unscrupulous means.
I have sent an email to the ICICI bank to confirm the date when this charge has been implied and also if it has been in consent with the guidelines of RBI. It's been over 15 days and I have not received any response from them. They are always eager to introduce these charges without any permissions from the RBI. We can forward a request to the RBI about these unreasonable charges being implied by the private bankers. Hope they will take care of these .

It is unfortunate to complaint that the bank is charged like "ATM DECLINE CHG/08-APR-09/0047" for 7 times now it self with out informing and even though my account contains more than 25, 000 Rs. Why this happend?Please reply me with in hours. What is the reason for not informing before deducting. Your updating every thing in Messages rite, why it is missing to inform. Kindly treat it as sever mail.
Even it is happend for me on Apr 22 2009 . I tried to withdraw money from my account i thought there was sufficient money . But 28 rs is deducted from my account . THis is nothing but deduct money for silly transaction from customer.
I am also also faced the same problem.
ICICI deducted 28Rs from my account near about three time and gives a description like ATM DECLINE CHG.
I also have account with CITI bank but I have not observed such thing with it.
Is it a only case with ICICI?, is it according to RBI norm?
Even they deducted 28 Rs. from my account telling there was insuffcient fund while withdrwaing on XYZ date, this is not communicated there may be many rules like this which debts your money from account dont close your eyez and make any transaction with ICICI bank, be educated first about its fees and norms.
i also faced this problem Today . in my statement it shows ATM DECLINE CHG/22-MAY-09/6486
On this date i had not made any transaction and also not entered more amount then my bank amount on any date

I had an similar experience... so i mailed the same to customer care... i received an email with in 2 days, ... they even called me for the same... best services i would say...

this is charge we need to pay if we try to withdrawn more amount then the amount in account.
charge is Rs 25+service charges...
i would like to share a link that describes all the charges taken by ICICI... i feel this charge is not good... rest all about ICICI is very goodd..

I have received a ATM DECLINE CHG/02-JUL-09/8035 on my account dated for 10th Aug 2009.

The first weird part is I have sufficient funds and I should not be declined a transaction from the ATM.

The second weird part is I never swiped my ATM card since 4th Aug 2009!!!

How is it possible for the bank to charge Rs. 28.00 for no reason at all????

Hi all... I faced the same problem in ICICI on 25th october and have charged twice as ATM DECLINE CHG's. Reason told by the bank: Transaction done due to insufficient amount. This is totally absurd as i had around 2000 Rs. as balance. A sort of fraudulence from a reputed bank like this.

Then it shows the transactions date on 2nd nov 2009, i am sure that i didn't used that card on that date,

ICICI Bank Saving Account — Short disbursement of cash

On 19th October, 2009 I had withdrawl of Rs. 20,000 from ICICI ATM - Account No. [protected]
at Kalkaji and surpirsed to note that I have got only Rs. 16,000 which is short by Rs. 4,000/- and my account was debited by Rs. 20,000/-.

Immediately I lodged the companint to the customer Service- Service Request(SR) No: [protected] given to me but till date I am getting reply from them that we have checked and your transaction is sucessful and we can not reverse the balance amount.

I am very shocked to see the customer services handled by such ICICI Bank.
