[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — to stop abusive calls for non-existing dues and get compensation for the mental harassment from ICICI bank

Address:Vadodara, Gujarat

I need help to stop abusive calls for non-existing dues and get compensation for the mental harassment from ICICI bank.

I have sent a complaint e-mail yesterday with all details to ICICI bank as per attachment.

The letter elaborates all facts with attached proofs.

Date: 17th July 2012

Subject: Abusive & threatening call on my mobile number [protected] from ICICI bank for collection of dues -which do not exist.

Dear sir/madam,

I have received a call today from following number[protected] from Reshma who said she is calling from ICICI bank - Andheri branch. She used abusive & threatening language on phone and asked me to pay my dues on immediate basis. She also told me to provide her Saloni Kadam's number without giving any reason.

Before calling me, she called my senior manager on office landline number[protected] and told him the same thing. Hence before receiving her call on my mobile number [protected], my senior manager informed me about this call from ICICI bank asking for dues to be paid by me. This really upset me as this is something to do with my reputation in the organization as well as my self respect. Such call to my senior manager will definitely tarnish my image in the organization.

Since I knew this beforehand, I immediately asked her how can she call my senior manager for personal issues. I also tried to explain her politely that at present I neither have any relation nor have any dues with ICICI bank. But she asked to keep shut my ‘ugly’ mouth and shouted on me and said ‘pay the credit card dues immediately you thief and give saloni kadam’s number immediately’. I said ‘no’. She again shouted that ‘if I do not pay the dues immediately and do not give the number, she will keep calling my senior manager’. Listening this threatening, I have asked her name & address, which she provided as ‘Reshma & ICICI bank – andheri MIDC branch’. After this I cut the phone as I was unable to take any more insult without any fault of mine. She tried to call 5 times thereon, which I did not pick up fearing more threatening and insult.

I want to provide following information:

1. At present, I do not have any relationship or any dues with ICICI bank. ICICI bank, by mistake, updated my CIBIL record as defaulter few years back which with constant follow up and lot of pain I have corrected. CIBIL has tendered apology for the wrong up-date and also confirmed that the false information has been removed from CIBIL database. Please find attached mail correspondence.

2. I have complained regarding abusive calls on 28th Jan 2010 for which ICICI bank replied & assured me in reply as per attached mail dt. 31st Jan 2010.

3. After above mail, I have received following reply and assurance from ICICI bank stating my mobile number [protected] is not in collection list and the bank regretted the inconvenience caused to me and assured that such lapses do not recur in future. Please refer attachment

4. I have again experienced same issue of getting abusive calls for which I have raised complaint as per below attachment – mail dt. 07.03.2011

Facts based on above information:

1. I do not have any relationship with ICICI bank at present.
2. I do not have any dues payable to ICICI bank at present.
3. Abusive calls are made starting 2010 till 2012.
4. ICICI confirmed that my mobile number [protected] does not part of the collection list.
5. Despite written assurance from ICICI bank that abusive calls will be not made on my mobile number [protected], this is repeated every year.
6. CIBIL also confirmed that ICICI bank made a mistake in updating my CIBIL record as defaulter and it was corrected by CIBIL. They also regretted inconvenience caused due to the same.
7. This sequence of events caused me, my family, my parents immense pain and mental agony during last 3 years. Also call to my senior manager leaves my job in jeopardy.

My complaint & resolution demand:
1. ICICI bank needs to stop the abusive calls on my mobile number [protected] on immediate basis.
2. ICICI bank needs to stop the abusive & threatening calls on my office landline number[protected] on immediate basis.
3. ICICI bank needs to send a confirmatory e-mail stating that I will not receive any calls from ICICI bank on above 2 telephone numbers.
4. ICICI bank needs to send an apology e-mail stating that Reshma should not have spoken to my senior manager and should not have provided him false & misleading personal information about me which will tarnish my image & reputation in my organization.
5. Send me a compensation of Rs. 10,00,000/- ( ten lakhs Indian rupees) for making abusive calls for three continuous years, damaging my reputation in my organization by talking & providing false information to my senior manager and abusing my parents.

Please note:
I do not want to have any telephonic conversation with ICICI bank personnel as I fear abuse & threatening again from ICICI bank personnel. Please do send the reply on my email ID only: [protected]@rediffmail.com.

If I do not receive any concrete resolution fulfilling my conditions mentioned above within next 2 days time, I will be forced to take legal step.

Thanks & Regards,
Sanjay S Kadam.

ICICI Bank — Constant calling for wrong number

For the last one month I have been getting calls every day from ICICI for one Rashmi Mishra. I have told them each time that it's a wrong number but they dont seem to bother to update their database. I get 6-7 calls each day and its extremely irritating. They begin at 8 in the morning and go on all day. I want some action taken against them
