[Resolved]  ICICI Personal Loan — Loan Account Statement

I have repaid my loan which had been issued in may 2007 my instalments have been paid regularly and it has also exhaused on 5th may 2009. Now i wish to know when will i get back my post dated cheques and other documents . My loan account no is L1A1D[protected]. pl reply immediately and will they stop the cutting now.

REPAYMENT MODE:ESCROW
START DATE:5-JAN-07

I HAVE CLEARED MY ALL MY EMIs AND MY INTEREST WHICH AMOUNTED TO:19, 778.00

BUT, I HAVE NOT BEEN ISSUED A "CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE" TILL NOW!!!

I WOULD REQUEST U TO ISSUE A " NO DUE" OR A CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE IMMEDIATELY!!

Personal Loan security cheques are illegal. It is not valid more than 6 months .If some banks earlier taken UTI Bank cheques, it indicates that they have taken security cheques more than 2 years as UTI Bank converted to Axis Bank about 2years ago .They can't take any benefit of 138 as undoubtedly cheques were issued more than 2 yers ago whereas post dated cheques valid only for 6 months .
But Security cheques of other banks cheques can't be considered in case of 138 as per landmark verdict of Aurangabad bench of Mumbai High Court .
After repaying of loan ICICI bank not refunding cheques to borrower, it shouldn't be happen . They should be questionable for this purpose and Government should taken proper steps to stop banks to take advance securioty cheque before handover loan amount.
