[Resolved]  ICICIcredit Card — charges for booking railway tickets using credit cards

Sir,
Bank charges for booking railway tickets using their credit card. As per IRCTC they charge extra Rs.30/- per ticket if tickets are booked using credit cards.

As per rules, no other than authorised agents of Railway are authorised to charge any extra amount for offering service for booking tickets. Further, Banks do not book tickets, but cardholder himself books the tickets at the ticket counters.

Secondly, as per credit card rules, if amount is not paid within duedates interest is charged for outstanding amount, but this is not observed in railway booking. If same card is utilised for other purchases extra amount is not charged.

It is cleared from above that railway is not authourised to charge any extra amount than what is printed plus Rs.30/- i.e. charges of IRCTC per ticket. Therefore it is requested to the authorities to instruct bank not to loot public by charging extra on usage of credit cards for any transactions

This charges are not reimbursed under LTC scheme as they are not charged under any MOU between railways and bank.

ICICI Bank — Extra chanrges on credit Card

Dear Sir,

I m ausing this card since last year. Credit limit is only 13000/- . I have givin too many request to in crease the crdit limit with my salary slip as an proff but not increased yet. My use is near abt 15000/- per month. After taking the proof they didnt increase limit but never told me that why not increasing the limit. I was thinking that after taking the proof limit has increased. Thats why in next swap they put some over limit charges. After that i had discussion then Cust Care Exec told me to pay 900/- in cash and 9900/- by cheque so that all dispute can be resolved.

I did the same even though i paid 100/- more. But when i was in abrod in next month then again some intrest charges, service tax charges, over limit changes etc were there. I called from there but Caust Care Exe told me that you have to pay. I denied to pay so i want to know why this hassasment of customer is going on. that amount in conineously incresing and today i have cancelled the card as well. But i dont want to pay those extra charges.

I have already paid the amount by which i have done the shopping.
So please tell me how i can complaint againt bank and also can fire a case or complaint in RBI.

So that necessary action can be taken on this.

ICICI Bank customer care facility of credit card is a very very bad facility in india

customer care sales exicutive is mentaly harushment to customer.

Credit Card (ICICI Bank) — Extra charge on purchase of railway ticket

My self has purchase Railways ticket through ICICI Bank Credit Card. Today i came to know that they are going to charge me 1.8% as a surchrage. I have already paid the ticket amount to them but still they are asking me for this surcharge. It is not the late payment surcharge.

Is every bank has the same policy or only ICICI bank?
Is their any guide lines from RBI.

I have experienced the same thing. Recently I booked ticket in IRCTC using ICICI Credit Card asuming a good facility. But later I saw ICICI bank is charging 1.8% extra on top of IRCTC online charges. It comes aroud Rs.200 extra while only ticket cost is Rs. 7000/-.

Specially, this clause is no where mentioned in Credit card brochures. Neither ICICI people never updates that to customer. This is a clear cheating.

it would be great if any authority/consumer court would look into the matter.
