ICICIcredit Card — ICICI Credit Card Fraud

My Name is Venkata SrinivasaRao Kasturi, and holder of ICICI credit card and from Hyderabad.

Recently, I was billed for unused transactions of my ICICI Credit card. I never withdrawn cash from ATM by using credit card nor authorized any body to withdraw also not a regular and habtiuated user of Credit card. I was surprised to see the transactions of withdrawal Rs.100/- by using credit card. ICICI bank charges Rs.300 + for service charge+ interest which amounts more than 3 times of Rs.100/-.

I hope no person in the world use credit card for drawing Rs.100/- . I was surprised to see Rs.100/- transaction. I raised my complaint of no use. They simply say that the Rs.100/- transaction is genuine - Which is ridiculous. I read that even our Central's minister got wrong transactions billing in India, when he was touring abroad.

With the above details, I urge top officials of ICICI bank to look into the matter before it is too late and bank's reputation got damaged.

I sincerely request fellow citizens, not to use Credit cards of private banks which are prone to malpractices and there should be a regulatory body to look into the grievances of innocent customers and users.

It is common now a day to here about the credit card fraud like someone using your card for booking the flight. The same thing happens with me.
On October 25th i was shopping in the mall & got the bill of 5000 when i went to pay through my card the guy at the counter said you have insufficient amount where as i had around 9000 in my card i was surprised. As it was festival the shop was full of people waiting for the billing so i just paid from other card & left the counter.
When i was just about to call customer care to check then i got the sms from ICICI bank telling that i have booked the online ticket through make my trip from Delhi to Mumbai. As the ticket charged was 10662 they had given 1000 extra to my card.
then i call customer care informed about the fraud happened & block my card & they gave me the complaint number (sr[protected] & said it will take 45 day if it from icici gate way & other bank it will take 51 days. Then i sent the written complaint through fax & then i did courier to there Hyderabad office.

I wanted to get as much as information about who could use i called the make my trip, There was really nice gal who helped me with possible information about the guy who is traveling she gave the pnr number & the traveler name & mobile number the details are PNR number 70OPYW name are
1. Rajendra Sharma -[protected]
2. Bharath Panchal
the flight was Go air -171, When we called go air they said the flight is taken off, There seat number was 21A & 21 C. then we called the airport at Mumbai if they can stop then & ask then to show there card through which they have booked. They said until they get the letter from the bank they cannot do anything. then we called the icici bank & said the same detail they said do not worry we will look into the issue now the dispute section will do there work & asked me not do any call to people to check.

After some day i wanted to know the status of the complaint as i had not heard about, when i called they said my card is blocked but there was no complaint. Then i explained everything once again he said he will pass the phone to dispute section but he cut the call.

After some day i got the call from Chennai asking about the payment i told the guy i will not pay until i get the information about the my dispute he escalated the call to his senior the lady said she will call me back with some information. After some time she called & said as there was no complaint about it she raised the complain again & gave me the other number (SR[protected] & she said to fax again the details I send it again. After some day I got the sms from icici bank that an Interim credit is given to my account on14.11.08.

After that almost every day I used to get the call for my payment I used tell the same thing once I get the my dispute settled I will pay what I have spent & will not pay the interest you put on my account. They use to tell they will get back to me but never got back.

Once I got the call from card section manger Sujit I said him I will not ray I don’t want to tell same thing again & again he said to write to him in the mail I wrote & sent it. After that I had no information but once in week they will call for the payment & once I tell them they about the dispute they will tell will get back won’t call me back, after all these day I got sms they it will take 91 days on 3-12-08 after that there is no mews Nor I have heard regarding the complaint. I want to pay what I have spent but not the late payment & interest rate they have put.
