[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — New Idea Postpaid connection[protected] Bangalore

This is to bring to the notice about sheer nonresponsibility going on in Idea company. I took a new Idea postpaid connection in Bangalore on Jan 31, 2008, after giving all the required documents. The number was active for 2 days wherein I could make calls and recieve it. One person from Idea had come to do the verification. That same night, I had some urgent work and had to make a call urgently, but to my shock, I could not, wherein all my outgoing calls were barred. Then, from Saturday of last to last week, almost 10 days now, I have been calling the Idea customer care daily at least 2 or 3 times. I was always given wrong and false promises that the number will be active within 8 hours, 1 day, and etc. I even talked to the manager Chandrashekar, even he promised to see this matter solved within 1 day, but still now I am not able to make any calls other than making calls to Customer Care. I have even received Acknowledgement Letter from Idea about my billing cycle and the tariff plans. I have two corporate connections of Airtel and Vodafone and they are perfectly fine without any problems. I have paid Rs. 300 and took this connection. If these people are not able to give proper service, kindly be restricted to other places of India and don't forge into new terrorities and fool people like this. They are playing with my patience and decency.

I changed my address and i requested for the same after some days my cells incoming and out going stopped.I went to gallry at sangvi they toldto go at main branch but i cant reach there because of work.I got callthat i have to pay large amount for this card but i told that 1st solve my problemof address i havent got any result.My number is [protected] please i want to activate the card but you should reduce the amount because they are asking me more than i used the card you should solve this problem.Because i am common customer.How much benifit you will get by giving botheration to me please give me bill that i used so that i can activate again my card.
I also give 500 diposit in that gallery.

Ideacellular — Idea declares poor network in my locality after providing connection

I bought Idea prepaid sim on 9th March, 2009. I realized that the network fluctuates badly in my Office and residence in Nainital. Idea customer care clearly declared that I am getting reflected signals in my locality and said I can discard Idea and choose some other service provider. I asked if there will be any improvement in future, they rudely said nothing can be said about future so you may decide what to do now.
I dont understand why they are marketing in that case and selling their sim cards. They should either solve the problem or completely close down their services in this locality, so that others dont commit the mistake of purchasing their connection.
I am ready to choose other service provider like Hutch or Reliance which ever works here. Idea should pay for all the expenses in doing so and in informing my people regarding change of number. It also has to pay compensation for wasting time, mental and physical energy in this process.
I request your support in seeking justice.
sicking service is yours no even worth to be spoken about I have recharged for 33rs. offer recharge money only is not credited to my balance a/c sick of you pple.. this is how u eat others hard eaned money is it!!!

Idea postpaid is the worst service in Bangalore.
I've taken an Idea post paid connection [protected]. The next day they came to my house, verified and they activated my mobile. After using for 20 days they barred outgoing calls for my mobile because my bill reached 500/-. They keep calling me asking me to pay the bill before the bill is generated and sent to me. I went to Idea store which is located on Marathahalli bridge and they said that you need to pay more to increase your credit limit. Suppose if you pay 1000/-, my credit limit would go to 1500/-. I asked why they are giving 1500/- for other customers, for this the reason they were saying is you were not at home while our executives visited your house for verification. This is absolutely false as I'm at home when they visited us. How can I prove this that they visited our house. They had narrated a nice story based on my submitted documents and written in the comments section of their website. They showed this when I asked them why my credit limit is 500/- only. It seems they will give customer ranking for each customer based on the location they are staying. If you are not living in a posh locality, your credit limit will be 500/- or less. This is how they are humiliating the customer. They were asking me to request our verification guys to visit your house. Why should I request them?? I cancelled the connection and went to vodafone..Vodafone is really good.
Idea billing is false..You need to track the bill otherwise, you will end up paying huge amount for which you didn't make calls. This is the reason they will charge 25/- for details billing. If you register for this, you will be billed properly, otherwise you will be billed wrong.
A simple example to prove this.

I've transferred from Hyderabad to Bangalore in July. I made calls and it reached 2200/-. They barred my outgoing calls. Then I called them in august to cancel my connection and I assured I'll pay the amount later. So in August I've taken another connection in bangalore and stopped using my AP Idea.
Later I got a bill which is 2700/- that includes prev month bill of 2200/- and current month bill of 500/-. If I see the details of the bill, they charged outgoing calls as 130/- for that month in which I removed my SIM and placed in cup-board. This expains about their false billing and cheating behaviour of Idea. They are cheating customers and customer care executive is worst of all. You don't have an option to talk to customer care executive directly from the main menu. Worst service. I hate Idea. I never take an Idea connection in my life again.
As i had bought the post paid coonection at the outlet of Nilgiri's chrismas exihibition.
I was promised that in the first bill i will be receiving the SILVER COIN for the booking of new post paid sim.

If you are not keeping your promise pls don't waste my time and i not happy with the service.
The doc was sent my postal address on 25/01/2010, by proffessional courier LR no 72015346. I had called the PC but their answer was very casual.

Ii'am prepaid idea customer ([protected] - Bangalore). I recharged for Rs 200/- on[protected], 20th I got a message "you have been successfully activate Wakeup Dailer pack." and my balance was Rs /-170. I sent a message back to "UNREGWAKEUP TO STOP TO 55055" Then i got a message back " Not a valid request" and i was charged Rs 3.00 for that sms.

I tried to call the customer care but no response.

These people have big banners and advertise What a an Idea Sir ge? and cheat people and make money just imagine illiterate people using the phone. without their knowledge they lost Rs 30/- every month for a stupid IX-WakeUP.

I we should stop this network and their service

I lost my mobile ...please block my sim .my mobile no :[protected]
I was using a Idea prepaid number and all of a sudden when i was on roaming on Oct 30th my incoming and outgoing is barred.When i verified the reason they gave was that my documents submitted were not proper. I have submitted the documents on Sep 5th and till my number was barred i was not even intimated that my documents were not proper. After all this i resubmitted by documents at the Marathalli idea store on Nov 1st and then they said my sim has been erased and i need to apply for a duplicate sim with the same number. Did that also about 20 days ago and the duplicate sim is not yet activated.Every time i call the store they give me false promises that it will be done and is never done.Today they are again asking me to go to Richmond Idea store which is very far off for me to go.

Idea is launching the new "number mobility" option, my number being in Idea only im not able to get it activated i wonder how would this number mobility thing will work in Idea..

Just can say only one thing to idea "Your losing a very big customer !!"
Idea connection really sucks!!! It was better off as spice.
The recharge done never seems to be activated at once and for the offers also you have to call the customer care 101 times. To get through the customer care will take another hour.
Then a new document submission thing has come, which is even more irritating as while taking the connection 5 yrs back i had submitted proper documents.
I don't know if switching to Idea can work for anyone.
Idea has the worst service in the industry... they have Abhishek as their brand ambasdoor and their values and service is exactly opposite and no where close to abhishek bhachan's ('good')...

Unneccesary deduction of amount against some service i have nver enrolled for and even after requesting to cancell service no action being taken and though refund is approved refund not credited and customer service representatives are worst possible and spoke to supervisor Salma Shaikh who gave reference 1-74x7w7z... she was the ever representative. Infact was very rude on the call...

Need some action...

My subscriber No.[protected] wherein I have a prepaid connection. I got it recharged for Rs.150/- on 12/05/2011after I got the message that it had full talk time. But to my surprise after recharging I did not get the balance display on enquiry I was informed that the time for using the said recharge was only for one month. Then I again got it recharged for Rs.200/- on 18/05/2011wherein I received a message from IX-50789 that I had successfully resubscribed and that the Charges was Rs.0.00, when in fact I had not subscribed to any service, then on verifying my account balance I found that Rs.30/- was deducted for reasons best known to you. I then sent a reply to the sms to 50789 that I had not subscribed to any service, but there was no reply. I then tried calling customer care which only has recorded msgs to press 1 2 3 9 189 and some rubbish wherein no representative attends to any call fed up with the service I am filing this complaint. Take note that this will be my final notice in the matter and if the same is not rectified and my money is not credited to my account I shall be forced to initiate appropriate legal action against you for which costs and consequences you shall solely held liable, without further notice in the matter.

Idea connection has range in any places. But your offers are very poor. idea provide a gprs offer for 2 moths. If we recharge with rs 98 we will get 2 GB internet. but its demerit is only 69MB/day. i don't know what kind of restrictions is this, also what is the advantage. My suggestion is, this restriction should be avoided. Then many people will select idea for their internet use.
my postpaid idea mobile No.[protected] for which i have not received the monthly bills since the last 3 months, but i have been regular in timely payments, why is this callousness as i could not make out the detailed billing for which i am charged, please check why the bills are not delivered. the idea has very poor tower in magadi road toll gate area where i have to come out of the office to speak, please look into the matterm my alternate No.[protected]
