Idea Prepaid — CALLS BARRED UNNECESSARILY | |
hello, 2 months back, i had purchased an IDEA PREPAID SIM CARD, from SION IDEAL GALLERY, mumbai. I had submitted my documents photocopy self attested, it was a driving license (valid) of my name and i had submitted a passport size photo with duly filled form . for the first one month the card was working without any problems, but then the calls were barred, when i went to a gallery they told it was a temporory disorder, it will start in few hours. It did start the next day, again after a week same thing repeated, when i went to the same gallery, the gallery executive told that you talk to the help line, i did the same . the help line executive asked me my number, the name on which card is and the address. strangely, when i told my name and address, he told me that the name is not your in their details and also the address is invalid. so due to documents mismatch we have barred. SO when i was sure that its a mistake from their side, i called to the applet officer, but the response was negative again. when i asked them about what can be done, they told me that you can submit your fresh documents and the number will be transferred to your name . SO according to them, if a particular number is not on one's name, and is on some one else's name which a person does not know about, just by submitting new fresh documents of his name, the card can be transferred to his name. this is pathetic and illogical. but what can a normal consumer do, just get frustrated and switch to another service. thats it! Prepaid — barring of calls
I was earlier a post paid customer of Vodafone when I was working with Centurion Bank of Punjab which then merged into HDFC Bank and then was working with Barclays FinanceRecently due to maternity I left the job and therefore changed the connection to Prepaid and submitted the application and all required documents for verfication
Phone was working fine but suddenly on 22nd June 09, i received an sms stating that you had a negative address verification because of which the number is barred.
When I contacted your local vodafone customer care at Maninagar Ahmedabad I was informed that somebody from your side made the verification but it was not proper and correct but to my surprise I have never received such call for any verification and now when I want to start my services again I am given a rude and pathetic reply by your executive at Maninagar Ahmedabad customer care branch Mr Maulik shah that he cannot do anything and its we who should be interested if we want to start the services again and he said even if you discontinue, we are not bothered we have thousands of customers with us.
I was asked to submit self attested address proof and photo which i denied because here its not my fault and therefore I would not submit any more documents
If this is not resolved, I will move to consumer court
