I bought a washing machine one year ago from IFB with a warranty of four years. After an year, it has started giving problems so I called customer care for help and they sent their man to fix it, but the problem started again the next day. Again I asked for help and they sent their mechanic to fix it but the same thing happened again. This process continued repeatedly for the next four months and then the company declared that they have failed to find and recognise the problem in the washing machine. Since then, they have stopped responding to my calls and have continued ignoring me even when I have the right to claim as the warranty is still active. After giving all the time I could as well as trying my best to get help, I have lost my patience hence I humbly request the authorities to help me get justice. I shall be highly obliged for the same, kindly look into the matter, thank you.

SUB: Request for replacement of defective washing machine
Dear Sir,
This is regarding a washing machine Digital SX-001551 on 3rd March 2010, paying Rs. 27,500.00 (Sales Invoice no. [protected], Dated 03/03/2010, Sales Order No. 2225735.
I would like to bring to your immediate attention the following:-
1. Within a month of installation, some of the buttons on the machine panel went inside and refused to work.
2. After several calls to your customer care, nobody turned up to solve the problem. Then we had to call one Mr. Md. Salim who sent a represntative after 10 days.
3.The machine has started vibrating and making huge amount of noise which spin drying. It is to the extent that one could hear it two floors above also.
4. It seems that either IFB has sold alot of products that are all defective because the customer care no always keeps us on hold or it seems that they intentionally keep the customers waitng.
5. However, after we finally were able to lodge a complaint ( Complaint no. 4864563) on 31st July 2010, nobody has come to look at the problem.
We think that with the kind of reputation your company has, your company is taking undue advantage and are just fooling customers.
Keeping the above facts in consideration, we urge you to kindly step in and relieve us of the misery caused due WORLD CLASS PRODUCT LIKE IFB WASHING MACHINE. And I would also like to get the defective piece taken out of my house ASAP and either refund or provide me with a well tested product.
I understand if you do not pay attention, I have nothing in my hand to do with you but I will be left with the option of knocking at the door of consumer court. I am sure nothing such will happen as till now I have not approached the right person like you who really cares for the customers, customer’s satisfaction and reputation of the company.
Hope to receive an early reply with clear directive how to get the replacement of the machine.
