[Resolved] Ignou — Why most of students of IGNOU leave their course before completion. | |
I Manish Srivastava want to know the fact that why most of students of IGNOU leave their course before completion, mainly IGNOU MCA and BCA. According to my survey a IGNOU study center start BCA course with 400 students. But in the fourth semester of BCA only 30% students continue with their course. Why ? Was this information helpful? | |

I have done 10+2 in 1985 and submitted my transfer certificate at University of Madras for B.Sc Maths corres thro' ICE. At present iam doing IT assistant course at CDAC Noida. I have done Diploma in Material Management . Pls give me details of degree courses related to computers or Material Management. I am at present posted at Haldia. I am Prativa working in an MNC, Gurgaon
I have a very Bad experience with IGNOU
I have applied for OPEN MAT twice but was not able to sit for the exam
The first application was not having clear gazetted stamp so my form was rejected with my DD of Rs 550/- too.
With my second application a horrible thing happened.I was lucky to get my hall ticket for the OPEN mat for last Sunday, 17th Aug'08.When i reached my center at dhaulakuan(center code-07) the college was closed coz of sunday and the gate keepr informed me dt IGNOU is closed here since last june.I was helpless.I tried calling maidangardi but noone picked up the call.This time also i have lost my money with lots of frustation.
I have dowloaded the form from the web abd attached Rs 550 DD along with that.IGNOU has not sent/posted me any prospectus not even the Hall ticket to me.Such a bad management system.
whenever i am calling maidangarhi to ask the reasong for this they are just transferring my calls to someone.Till now a ma not able to find the concerned for this
Can anyone look in to this????????????????/

Hey prativa, I don't know u are ladies or because i am assisting you only if you are girl or women. First of all I have to say all universities misconducts are entertaining by UGC, and so u can't go to consumer FORUM, but consumer FORUM was THE BEST option for u but not in your case. At last you can lodge complain on UGC website or if your course comes under technical category have to lodge complain on AICTE (UGC control all institution for basic course and AICTE control technical course ) in your course AICTE will be right., 2) I will suggest u lodge complain on pgportal creating I'd and password and there strongly hit to get back money and ask him why that all happened, at that time it depends on you how much u are intellectual, I mean which manner u talks, they forwarded ur message to directly ignou examination department head you can say whatever also abuse ### (if u are harassed extremely) . Last if they don't help pls put ur feedback poor after month or year u will receive a call from ministry complaint monitoring team and there u may be angry . Hey guys IGNOU is still the worst University in the world. It has world repute of harassing students even Brightest of students are passed in the way of Inki, pinky and Ponky. Its truly luck Quality answers doesn, t have any sort of Value to them. I have a backlog in PGDIBO IBO 06 which is Intl Business Management- I have written well in the examination. However, the Valuator has given me only 28/100 even after referring the India's Best Authors Viz Dr Apte and Dr Madhu Viz.
They valuate on the basis of Study Materials given to the students at the time of registraton Trust me its only basic's and do not have any sort of Value to that.
Please don't Join this University for any Course. Maths paper is Valued by English Lecturer and Eng pap is valued by Chemistry lec's

I have submitted the Assignment in respect of MS-09 on Nov 3, 2002 and sent Project Report (MS-100) on 22nd April, 2008 and awaiting to enter the marks in Grade so far. I have sent many email, letters, phone calls however not result. Kindly help. My Enrolment no . is[protected]MBA).

fir mai january 2007 ke liye bhi re register kar diya tha(CS612 CS60 CS62) semester 2
but kisi problem ki wagah se mai july 2007 ke liye registration nahi kara paya
so mera wo semester chut gaya
fir january 2008 ke liye jab re registration kar wana tha to mai late ho gaya aur maine late fees ke saath delhi se wo form bhar diya for january 2008 session courses (FST1 CS63 CS5) semester 3 jo ki submeet ho gaya delhi mai
but ab jab mai semester 4 ke liye bhi fee mail kar chuka hu karnal ke liye to mujhe koi response nahi mila hai wahan se ki wo fee pahunchi hai ki nahi ya wo accept karenge ki nahi
kyunki mujhe doubt hai ki kahin mera regional center to change nahi ho gaya hai ???
now please provide me the solution if any one can

Ya I agree to your comment... but you know why people join IGNOU, they could not able to continue their education due their personal problems.
If we are committed and dedicated we should complete our course in IGNOU. Without our effort or dedication we cant do anything even a regular course.
Along with that we have to have some local gurus who have completed similar kind of course or who is doing same. If you dont have find one.
Take their help + put your effort + dedication + commitment = a degree from IGNOU.
Above formula looks simple, but its difficult to implement.
Implement and see the result.
If you are doing any course in correspondence, this is the best and most valued.
With my experience I am telling these tips.
Some one will have bad experience.. some one will have good experience. Its depends on how you will take.

Sir, please tell me the Email-ID of Director IGNOU Delhi if known to you or other such ID's through which I can send my problems to higher authority. As I am from a remote district (Nuapada, my regional centre is Koraput.)of Orissa, it become too difficult for me to complete my course as there is no any guidance nor any support from your appointed IGNOU Officials of this regional centre. Previously i thought that i will do my masters in tourism from IGNOU. But now there's no question of it. Take my advice... IGNOU is the worst option 2 choose
Most of the students of IGNOU leave before completion because of these reasons according to me:
1. working people has less time to prepare
2. % of pass marks is high ..=>50% (i.e 2nd div)
3. most of them are working people . means not regular collegiate.
But being a student of BCA(final sem), I personally feel IGNOU is good for the working people, at least the materials provided are good.
Also, passing depends on hard work and patience. I am working in NIC State center where my job is network engineer and need to work 24x7. But still I am doing well in my exams. As for me I respect IGNOU.
