[Resolved] Income Tax Refund — Refund cheque returned undelivered | |
Today when i checked for IT refund status on net i found status as "Refund cheque returned undelivered by the postal department as address provided by you is incorrect " I have enquired at local speed post office and I was told same. Now I am trying to reach SBI call center for refunds at [protected] but no one is answereing. Whom shall I contact to get Ny IT refund, My address is same it has not changed. This is regarding the income tax refund bearing the Ref no EQ[protected]IN - wherein the website status shows that the packet has been despatched to Allahabad address on 16 jan 2010 however we had given the address of F-1, B-88 Kaushami Ghaziabad, UP. in all our records.
Despite of repeated calls at various post offices, nobody is giving a satisfactory answer and they have no idea as to where the packet has been sent.
Request you to please deal this on priority and give the details ASAP.

i have deposited income tax return for assement year 2007-8, for which a settlement was done on 17/11/2007, D&C R No.-1629/[protected]. an d cheque no-710512 dated 17/7/2008 for Rs 2510.00 from Income tax Office ward-2, Noida UP. the cheque was send to my office on 25th SEpt, 08. since i was not available in the 1st and 2nd week of Oct, 2008, it was recd me late. i send it to Ward-2 Noida, sector-20 for revalidation of cheque but after several reminders i could not get cheque after re-validation

Sir,My Speed post of income tax refund with docket no. EY[protected]IN was returned undelivered. When inquired with the GPO Bangalore, i was informed that the address was not traceable.
How come postal departments have forgotten city address, they are not able to trace an address in the heart of the city. Better to tie up with a courier company
