Indian Passport — Non issue of passport

my passprt is not issued yet...
my police report has been sent on 29-11-08, and i have not got it yet...
how much time it will take...???

I had applied for Issue of Passport. More than two years have passed. I have been making regular follow up. Till date I have not received passport.

I had applied from Ranchi Passport office in Fab 2007 when my husband was posted at Hazaribagh office. In the month of June 2007 my husband got transfer from Hazaribagh to Ranchi and then in June 2008 transferred to Agartala. In government services transfer of services is unavoidable function. From Ranchi also I had informed the Ranchi Passport office that due to transfer of my husband to Ranchi my contact address has changed. Rajendra Kumar the established broker tried his best to convince the passport officials but failed to convince them that police verification now should be done at Ranchi.

On inquiry from Ranch Passport office I was informed that Police verification could not be completed. Government promises to issue Passport in 30 days but police verification does not take place in months and years as long as the concerned police officer do not get something in return. If extra money is paid to police, even terrorist can get verification report in 24 hours. But for simple living government servant it is hard nut to crack.If one is ready to spend some more amount he can acquire passport directly from Passport office in 2 – 3 days .

I informed to you in the past. When Ministry of External affairs new Delhi took up the matter the Ranchi Passport office closed the file from back date and informed me vide their letter F/Ranchi/551/53/04 dated 22.12.2008 that "file of the passport applied by me is pending due to incomplete police report. As per police report vide memo no. 4663 dated 21.11.07 she was not present at the time of police verification" It is worthwhile to mention here that police started verification after nine months of lodgment of the application. This shows the attitude and the treatment given to simple applicant like me.

It is further astonishing that on 22.12.2008 passport office wrote a letter to Sri R. Swaminathan JS (CPV & CPO) and endorsed a copy of the same to me at the address of Hazaribagh residence which has reached me in the month of April 2009. Through this letter the said office reportedly closed the file and informed the applicant on 7.12.09, but the same did not reach me till date. I think this is an exercise to throw dust in the eye of investigating authorities.

I once again request you to take up the matter with Ranchi Passport office and ensure that passport is issued to me at the earliest.

I have applied for passport on 13 march 2009. police verification has been done and dispatched via regn. no. 12689 on 18 may 2009. but status shows that police report has not been recieved. i oblidged if anyone can help me.

I have applied for passport on 3 Aug 2009. The police verification by DIB kolkata was completed and forwarded to your office on 17 sep 2009. my wife visited to your office twice in the month of December but no satisfactory reply has been received from your. Almost more than four months have passed the passport has been not being issued and no intimamation has been received from your office.Being an ARMY personnel daughter it is surprising after four months passport has not being issued.
