There was a total failure of AC in the coach. Some persons were accomodated in other coaches but those who could not be accomodated were advised by the Coach attendant (TTE) to obtain full refund of their tickets at Kanpur station as he would be submitting a General Report to this effect provided they have purchased tickets in cash and others may file TDR for refund of ticket amount. No individual certificate was issued by TTE on the ground that he would be submitting a General report on failure of AC. Accordingly, I filed a TDR on 19.08.09 vide reference No.ekt[protected] (TDR Zone NRBSB) but surprised to find that the refund is not approved by CCM with the remarks 715 NRBSB/1 Passenger(s) turn up. The case is repudiated. I prefer an appeal for reconsideration. I may also be advised the name of TTE Coach attendant and his full address on whose assurances I did not obtain specific certifice so that I may resort to other remedies in case my request is not sympathetically considered.
