[Resolved] Indian Railway — waiting list on tatkal tickets | |||
i am writing this compalaint with a very disheartened heart on the poor functioning of one of the worlds longest railway network..... alloting waiting list over the tatkal tickets is such an act of the railway to loot the people at any cost and make their profits to a higher level.... railway is forgetting that they are a public transport service and are behaving worser than a private airline company which even tries to serve the public with the lowest rates for the tickets.............. chickoo m philip, kanpur. I do agree with you, some times if your tatkal wait list No 5 or 6 there are chances of getting the seat but due to railway Tatkal Rules your ticket will be cancelled automatically and you will be consider as without ticket and the empty seat is bonus to TC. even though you have emergency, you can not travel even after paying Huge Tatkal charges. There is not enough time to by another ticket at last moment, I strongly appeal to railway Ministry to look after this Rules or Do not issue Wait list Ticket on Tatkal Quota, so that person can make some other arrangement for Travel
