[Resolved] Indian Railways — Common man's misery
Sir Most probably you would have seen the General Compartment of Express trains on the move on railway tracks or at station waiting for a green signal. What sort of rule allows those compartments to be overbooked in majority of cases, to such an extent that people who board on the them find it difficult to even stand straight? Is it because they are poor or they don't complain or you are sure you would never get into such a situation (Ofcourse you don't have to care for poor people by dint of whose hard labour you are surviving in this country...in this case)? Can I suggest you to take up this matter and add some more bogeys of General Compartment, atleast in Express trains and not allow those bogeys to be overbooked to such an extent that passengers don't have enough space to stand. To implement this solution you may have to increase the fare little bit which would be acceptable rather than robbing the poor people of their dignity as a human being to survive in India. Eagerly waiting for your implementation or reply (with reason, why it can't be so?). Thanks Subhakanta Samal Was this information helpful?

You are talking of dignity in India ? Is that a joke ? This is a slum dog country where more than 100 people are cramped into a coach like filthy pathetic animals. No other reason. slumdogs dot wordpress dot com
