We traveled on train number 2860, Gitanjali express, on the 7-8th of March, 2009. We experienced surprisingly bad lunch and dinner service. We were used to getting rail lunches at Rs. 40 and that used to include puris, dal, rice, subzi, curd, pickle and water. Here we got a lunch (dinner) which had just rice and sabzi and charged us Rs. 45! We were told that the rules have changed from March 1st and that this is the status on all trains. We feel charging so much for so little is atrocious and such a change, if true, must be stopped. If it is untrue that there is such a systemic change, it would amount to the pantry people cheating us. Please do the needful. Was this information helpful? |
