[Resolved] Indian Railways — Non refund and Misbehaviour of Salem reservation counter employees | |
Respected Sir, My mother Mrs. Indira Nair had booked ticket(ticket no. [protected], PNR no.[protected] for 03-08-09 for train no. 7229(TVM-HYDERABAD sabari express) in coach A1(2 tier AC) from Kollam JN to Salem JN which was a confirmed ticket. But there was no provision of two tier AC and so she travelled in 3 tier AC with the permission of the TTR. The TTR had given a "certificate for claiming refund of fare in lower class of AC" where he has mentioned every detail with his signature alongwith which he asked to show it at the reservation counter, salem, for the refundable money. The train reached SALEM JN at 7:20p.m. on 04-08-09. I went up to the reservation counter at 7:30 seeking for the refund with the travelled ticket and the refund form given by the TTR. Two railway employees(a lady and a gent) didnt pay heed to my problem and told me that the money cant be refunded as there is no proper evidence.I also requested the lady to give me a written letter saying the refund form is valid for the next day and so that i can again approach the authority but she refused.They were mocking at me and had a good laugh sitting inside their cabin. If this kind of irresponsible and humiliating behaviour is shown by the railway people then where are the poor passengers to go. Kindly help sir, take a serious action on the two employees.
