[Resolved] Indian Railways — FAILURE OF THE ONLINE TICKET RESERVATION SYSTEM | |
I am very sorry to point out that the Online Reservation System of the Indian Railways, is totally a failure, since most of the occasions, after making the payment, tickets are never booked of our choice. The Railways simply say that the amount is being credited to our account. We have to keep vigil whether the payment is refunded or not. This is totally unwarranted effort caused due to the negligence of the Indian Railways. Secondly, whenever I try lower berth in the Online booking, for my 80 years old mother I always get either middle or upper berth. Even after giving option of Lower Berth, I am shocked to note that so many times the Upper berth is allotted. One can imagine, how it is possible for a 80 years old lady to climb to an Upper Berth. Many passengers do not cooperate to adjust in the train. I therefore request the Railway authorities, to do the needful, that the software should identify the senior citizens and allocate them the Lower berths. Otherwise, the system should ask the option of the passengers. I strongly believe that if the above suggestion is implemented, most of the senior citizens will be benefited.
