[Resolved]  Indian Railways - Tc — Complaint against Ticket Collector - Mr Shivcharan( NCR 093)

Dear Sir,

I, along with my wife, travelled from H Nizamuddin to Agra by 2280 Taj Express on 13-03-10. My ticket was in waiting list (WL2 and WL3). However, I boarded the train in D7 coach and there were several others in the coach who were having waitlisted ticket and many with ordinary unreserved tickets.

While Ticket Collector, Mr Shivcharan, checked the tickets found few of the confirmed ticket passengers absent. But, instead of alloting the vacant seats to the waitlisted passengers, he alloted the seats to ordinary ticket holders who handed him some monetary benefit. Seat no 1 of coach D7 is one such case. There were few more cases like that, though I 'm not able to recollect the seat nos. correctly.

When I noticed this, I questioned him his actions. But, he tried to evade himself by asking me to contact ticket conductor of Coach No D5 & D6. In fact, I did contact him as well. But, both of them were not even ready to check the ticket (they didn't mark my presence in their charts) . But, finally, after a long confrontation, he gave me one seat D7-104. After that, no of seats got vacant at Mathura but still he provided seats only to those who passed him monetary benefits.

All this is being faced by many other passengers day-in and day-out. Would senior officials notice this someday and take actions against such corrupt employees? Journey from Nizamuddin to Agra was just 3.5 hrs, so travelling without a seat was not a very great inconvinience. But when TC actions like Mr Shivcharan and his ally (TC for coach D5 &D6), then it hurts badly.

I would plead some top officials to take serious actions against Mr Shivcharan and his ally, not because I faced lot of inconvience, but to better the system.

complain — single ticket issued for two separate coach

we received a single ticket (ticket no[protected]/dated 9/07/2008/time 11:55) sl class patna jn to madhupur jn for the journey (
edical purpose) on 16/07/2008 . it should issued two tickets for two separate coach.(for coach nos1 berth no 60, coach nos7 berth no45).
when requested to coach attendent for adjustment in single coach, denied.in s1 coach berth no 61/62 was vaccent up to jaisidih jn issued by attendent to unauthorised persons taking unauthorised money .
we suffered due to travelling for medical purpose.
kindely mannage such incident.

Personal — passenger without ticket

sir, i frequently visit by a/c compartment from jaipur- alwar and alwar-jaipur in defferent train. i have always notice the police department and railway staff always travelling without ticket in the a/c couch. the ticket condector refuse to give ticket to passengers who got the local passenger ticket and want to convert in a/c sleeper. even once i notice that ordnary holdar of police was sitting and travelling in that a/c couch and having no ticket. i think more than 10% people may be railway staff may be police or administrative officer are travelling without ticket no doubt railway is doing good in all field.

Train travelling — harrassment by TC

sir
i have travelled from kanyakumari to chennai under handicapped concession along with my wife and two childrens on 25/5/2008 in kanyakumari express . I have not brought the original handicapped certificate. The TC from kanyakumari along with the inspector Thiru S.Pitchaiah harrased me and forced me to get down in kovilpatti. I have told them i have produced the copy of the certificate and shown original while booking my ticket and if they insisit i ready to show to the station master in egmore when i reach there. Inspite of that they behaved arroganthly and told me to pay fine Rs. 1287, Being a handicapped along with my wife i dont know what to do along with my childnres. i have to get the money from some neighbours from the other compartment and paid. It is the way the railway departement treating the handicapped person. I also told them that i will produce the original copy within 30 min when i reach egmore and inspite of this they harrassed me and wife and my childrens started crying. This is worst situation i never had in my life. Thanks for the railway department treating the handicapped person in a arrongant manner. The concerned departmental official and the ministry of railways to be ashamed of this incidienct since we are indians not barbarians.

Railways — where the tickets going

sir/ madam
it is seen many times the wait listed tickets even though available by cancellation, going to some passengers unknown way.how they are surpassing the original order, also i believe there are many travel agents block the tickets too. is it the railways ready for open documentation of the tickets in the internet about trains its tickets, cancellation, tranfers, allotments and the charts.
is it the railways is for common man or working under crucked ways to get more money

Indian Railways — Fake reciept provided by TTE

Hello,

I have travelled in train 2142(Rajendra nagar superfast express) between 1st and 2nd nov from satna to Mumbai. TTE D K Mishra(Boarded from jabalpur and get down at bhusaval) took amount Rs. 1221 from me as I am having only the genral ticket and travelling in 3rd AC. He took the amount from me iN iTARSI. THE AMOUNT 1221 COMPRISES OF RS. 971(AMOUNT WILL ALLOW ME TO CONTINUE MY JOURNEY IN 3RD AC TILL MUMBAI) + RS. 250(PENALTY). hE TOLD ME THAT I CAN CONTINUE MY JOURNEY IN 3RD AC. HE GET DOWN IN BHUSAVAL JUNCTION. a NEW TTE CAME IN AND AFTER SEEING THE RECEIPT TOLD ME TO GET DOWN AND MOVE TO SLEEPER AS THE RECIEPT BEING INCORRECT AND SOME SEAL IS MISSING IN IT. wHEN I ASKED HIM TO PROVIDE ME THE DETAILS OF THE AMOUNT CHARGED BY PREIOUS TTE, HE DENIED AND ASKED ME TO CONTACT PREVIOUS TTE, WHICH BEING IMPOSSIBLE. HE EVEN USED ABUSIVE WORDS AND TRIED TO SCARE ME THAT STRICT ACTION CAN BE TAKEN AGAINST ME IF I DID NOT GET DOWN AND MOVE TO SLEEPER. I ASKED HIM TO PROVIDE ME THE COMPLAINT BOOK, BUT AGAIN HE DENIED AND GAVE ME A ROUGH PAPER TO WRITE DOWN THE COMPLAINT DETAILS. LATER ON HE ADMITTED THAT EARLIER TTE HAS GIVEN ME WRONG RECIEPT AND TOOK AN INAPPROPIATE FARE.

IN ALL THIS MESS I HAVE WASTED LOT OF MY TIME AND MY PEACEFUL JOURNEY HAS BECOME MESS. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW AND ALSO LOG A COMPLAINT AGAINST TTE D.K.MISHRA AND C.K.NAIR FOR ILL TREATING ME?

Indian Railway Staff — not making my ticket

Respected sir /mam,
I Mohit Khanna want to say that two days before I went to take my ticket at varanasi city office golghar.There was a sir making a ticket there was a rash the sir was making the ticket of the un authoriesed agent and taking money from them. I ask from agent from how many days you all are doing this type of work he said last two years.
I want to say that this is the duty of that sir to say that in one time i will take one from only .But the hole person was in that ielligal work.
He said that i will not make your ticket ever if i will make ur ticket you have to pay 5 RS for one person.
SIR, I request indian railway staff if any of the one staff is reding this masseage plz take action OR change the staff of city office.

Complaint against TTE — Regarding Waiting ticket

COMPLAINT AGAINST TTE AND SPECIAL SQUAD
Sir/Madam,

I am addressing to your office as I couldn't find any mail id at WCR website.

After having suffered many a times I am writing for your kind intervention to stop suffering of the people of india and are not in a way to Bribe the TTE for the Berth allotment.

I am basically from Kota and doing job in Ghaziabad and ususally travel to Kota.

Dated: 13th December 2008
Traveling from Ghaziabad to Kota Junction

my ticket was in Waiting list 4 & 5. and TTE took 200/- each for the seat allotment.

Which shows the negligence of indian railways.

My only request is that to, kindly protect and help us from these kind of instances, which are a daily routine on this train and could be verified anytime.

A process should be defined that TTE allocates the Berth No. and then only we are allowed to enter.

Because all your efforts go in Vain when such instances keep on occuring and are a daily habit for these people.

I would also suggest to allow the Reservation till 10 mins before the train departure, for trains originating from Bhopal as is done at Jabalpur.

Awaiting your kind reply and necessary action.

Any other Enquiry in this regard is welcome.

i travelled from jaipur to mubai on dec 2008 . here canteen contractor charging excess amount on all articles and quality of articles not good . when i demnded for bill he refused to give . harrasment by t t s are common sight . they harrash passangers worst sitiuation with rac and waiting list passangers .unauthrised passanger travells in resevered compartaments. they only harrashe passangers who did not fufill their demands . it is yur punishment for this .so in future yu should learn to adjust with them .

Indian Railways — Summer Special trains - a black spot on Indian Railways

On 13th of June I had a railway ticket to travel from Dhanbad to Old Delhi on the Sealdah-Delhi Summer Special (Train Number 0331, PNR number - [protected]). The Train which was supposed to start from Sealdah at 1 PM started at 5:15 PM and reached Dhanbad at 10:15 PM - more than 5 hours late. It reached Delhi more than 12 hours late at midnight on 15th. These Summer Special trains do not have any pantry car so you can imagine what conditions people are in. Water in the bathrooms get over and when the train is late by such long hours, conditions turn inhuman.
If there is no infrastructure to run these trains, please do not run them - it is better for Indian public not to travel than travel in such inhuman conditions with no food or water. Please stop these trains or run them in better conditions - punctually with all the required facilities in an Indian railway train.

we face many trouble in special train as they have no pantry car.there should be pantry car in long distance trains like Howrah-Yesvantpur summer special.

i have baught a ticket from bsl to mku, i got arrogent treatment by mr sholole(ticket booking clerk).i have asked for suggestion book to mr. thakur but he is refused to give me the book.

Indian Railway — misbehavior of bhusawal staff at ticket booking counter

respected sir ,
i m working in school i have to come to bhusavl many times but i got very cheap behavior at booking counter many times so kindly take action against these people. we also never get complaint book there.

Ticket — illegallly asking money

i travel from mathura to gwalior with the ticket no53898259 dated on 30/10/09in Taj Exp Coach no07611. but at the agra cant station ,A police man asked me a Ticket i show the ticket ,He said u r in reservation coach , but i was in normal coach because before sitting inside the coach i conformed but form TC , but police man ask for panelty i ready to and i pay 100Rs and i ask for panelty slip . Suddenly he leave the train and he abuse me

job — complent for ticker checker

dadar station pe platform no. 6 pe 3/4 ticket checker lugedge leke anewalonse roz 50/- se 200/- tak vasuli karte hai, puchhne pe bolte hai ki ticket dikhao, ticket dene ke bad bolte hai ticket pe lugedge nahi le ja sakte, halaki ticket pe 35kg tak lugedge le ja sakte hai.
rupaye nahi dene par lugedge store room me lekar jate hai, aur police ki dhamki dete hai, aur jabardasti se rupaye lete hai.
time bachane ke liye aur is musibat se chhutkara pane ke liye mazburan unko rupiya dena padta hai.
unko koi rok sake to jaldi kadam udhaye jane chahiye.
woh roz apni jeb bharte hai aur mazbur logonka fayada uthate hai

Railways — railway ticket checkers are corrupted

i booked a ticket no[protected] rudar pur to delhi for the date 28/12/09 (ranikhet ex.), waiting was 49 on 25/12/09 .
on 28 th my ticket was confirmed. But TT said "100 rupaye lagenge dene hai to nahi to 2 -3 log aur hain unko de dunga"
so please find out that ticket checker.
Dear Sir,
i am santosh sahi, regular traveller from hajipur(bihar) to jhansi. My complaint is that, i travel always by train no. 1123/1124 (barauni gwalior mail), this train never comes on own time on station,
so please see this train to correct its time.

Indian Railway (NR) — Collection of money without receipt in trains

Sir,

I travel regular from Delhi to south and back. Most of the time I observed that TTEs who come on duty from Jhansi in Night trains which come to Delhi collect some huge amounts from General ticket holders without giving receipt and permit them to travel in AC Coaches. These amounts are simply going to TTEs pockets. The travellers are also seems to be regular and simply pay certain amount ( I think it is fixed) to the TTE and occupy some berth in AC coach. The TTEs even never bother to allot the vacant berhs to wait listed passengers. I nevers saw Squad travelling between Delhi & Jhansi during night time which makes TTEs to collect the illegal amounts without hesitation.
The matter is very serious and needs interference of railway authorities

Railway Ticket — Refused to give me train ticket

Hi Sir,

I faced the issue from Kazhakkoottam railway station on March 09, 2010. I was busy rushing from the office for catching Vanchinad Express and there was just 5 minutes for the train arraival. I have only Rs. 100/- with me. The person at the ticket counter refused to give me ticket asking me to give exact money for the ticket fair. I begged him like anything asking for the ticket. But, he refused my request.
It was evening time and he was telling, he don't have balance to give. He was behaving very harshly.

While I was begging him for the ticket, another guy came and this person refused ticket for him also. Then both o[censored]s together took the ticket and he paid my ticket fair. By this time the train arrived and we have to ran through the railway track to catch the train. If another train was passing by, we should have missed the train.
dear sir,

i am ashish sawant, M.B.A., graduate from mumbai university, conducted a survey on mumbai railway as my project work. i had heard before that at sion unfair means of collecting money from people is carried out. ..the receipt of fine is not provided to the victims and the money goes directly to ticket checker's pocket.


to test this incident i personally carried out a test to check the the truth behind it . i had my ticket, but purposely moved from sion platform 2 to 1(i had ticket from ghatkopar to matunga)...the ticket was valid for 1 hr ...i carried test within 1 hour .

to get caught i purposely moved to T.T., at sion, still i had a valid ticket, i was just watching the laws he bombarded on me, he adjusted fine between to o[censored]s...and does'nt gave any report..

i know that this money goes to his pocket, and not to Indian railway.
LET'S CHANGE THE SYSTEM IF INDIAN RAILWAY SUPPORTS... the name of the ticket checker told was " sameer sheikh"(90% chances that it is a fake name)

i can find his orignal name and can tell you...but it ON depends how much interest does INDIAN RAILWAYS TAKE against my complaint ...

waiting for reply...sure that no one is going to look into the matter.
