[Resolved]  Indian Railways - Tc — Complaint against Ticket Collector - Mr Shivcharan( NCR 093)

Dear Sir,

I, along with my wife, travelled from H Nizamuddin to Agra by 2280 Taj Express on 13-03-10. My ticket was in waiting list (WL2 and WL3). However, I boarded the train in D7 coach and there were several others in the coach who were having waitlisted ticket and many with ordinary unreserved tickets.

While Ticket Collector, Mr Shivcharan, checked the tickets found few of the confirmed ticket passengers absent. But, instead of alloting the vacant seats to the waitlisted passengers, he alloted the seats to ordinary ticket holders who handed him some monetary benefit. Seat no 1 of coach D7 is one such case. There were few more cases like that, though I 'm not able to recollect the seat nos. correctly.

When I noticed this, I questioned him his actions. But, he tried to evade himself by asking me to contact ticket conductor of Coach No D5 & D6. In fact, I did contact him as well. But, both of them were not even ready to check the ticket (they didn't mark my presence in their charts) . But, finally, after a long confrontation, he gave me one seat D7-104. After that, no of seats got vacant at Mathura but still he provided seats only to those who passed him monetary benefits.

All this is being faced by many other passengers day-in and day-out. Would senior officials notice this someday and take actions against such corrupt employees? Journey from Nizamuddin to Agra was just 3.5 hrs, so travelling without a seat was not a very great inconvinience. But when TC actions like Mr Shivcharan and his ally (TC for coach D5 &D6), then it hurts badly.

I would plead some top officials to take serious actions against Mr Shivcharan and his ally, not because I faced lot of inconvience, but to better the system.

Hi Sir,

TT is collecting so much money from passengers. As i used to travel by kaghaznagar express from SKZR to SC. That train is having 2 coaches for sitting reservation. where we can pay 15/- for reservation for each seat. for that TC has to give a acknowledge-slip of 15/- for each one, instead he is taking money from people and not giving the acknowledge-slip. Example if 6 people are traveling (6*15=90). he is collecting 90/- and giving only one acknowledge-slip of 15/-.Because of this railway is loosing lot of money. And TC is earning money like anything. Please some one can look into this matter and save the railways.
Dear Sir,

I travelled from New Delhi to New Coochbehar by 12424 Dibrugarh Rajdhani Exp on 03-12-16. My ticket was in waiting list (WL1). However, I boarded the train in B3 coach and there were several others in the coach who were having waitlisted ticket and many with ordinary unreserved tickets.

While Ticket Collector was without name plate (but seems a boxer and heavy built body), checked the tickets found few of the confirmed ticket passengers absent. But, instead of alloting the vacant seats to the waitlisted passengers, he alloted the seats to ordinary ticket holders who handed him some monetary benefit. Seat no 52 of coach B3 is one such case. There were few more cases like that, though I 'm not able to recollect the seat nos. correctly.

When I noticed this, I questioned him his actions. But, he tried to evade himself and threating me of beboarding the train. He didn't mark my presence in his charts. One passenger tried to make his video but he caught that passenger and manhandled him. The TTE beat that passenger very badly and B3 caoch attendant helped that TTE. B3 coach attandant collects money for that TTE. He collects waited list passengers ticket although he had no authority. He return tickets only after giving money to him. I also give Rs 500/- to him. The TTE give vaccant seats to only those who paid huge money to him.

All this is being faced by many other passengers day-in and day-out. Would senior officials notice this someday and take actions against such corrupt employees? Journey from New Delhi to New coochbehar was quite long so travelling without a seat was great inconvinience. But the TTE and his ally (attandor of B3 coach) creats problem for the passengers and huge monetary loss to railway department.

I would plead some top officials to take serious actions against that Rajdhani TTE and his ally, not because I faced lot of inconvience, but to better the system.

Arrogent behavior of ticket collector at Mysore Junction
Sir,
I am senior citizen and was travelling from Mysore on 22 Dec in 3AC, I asked him to provide me LB for which he gets irritated also Since my destination station was to arrive at 4:30 am in early morning I asked him to inform me which he refused and acted arrogantly. If passengers are paying money to see such misbehaving staff then no use of such railway authorities.

Hi,

My sister and I had booked AC chair car train tickets for Mysore Express on 29th September. We reached the station much in advance of the departure time but the train did not arrive at all... at around 6:15am we heard an announcement saying that the train will be delayed by 2.5 hours and therefore those who're traveling by that train can instead travel by Hampi express that was scheduled to depart in a few mins. So we rushed to that platform (platform 9) and boarded the AC Chair Car. Around 8 or 8:15am a Ticket Collector by name Mr. Rajiv came to check our tickets and we explained to him that we were traveling by this train with the same reserved tickets because we heard that announcement. He refused to listen to us and almost shouted at the top of his voice saying we cant travel by AC chair car and just because we heard that the train was delayed it didn't mean it was cancelled. He shouted at us to travel by the sleeper class, all this time unnecessarily attracting attention of all the other passengers. He was not only rude, he could not even speak properly in English - I have not come across more uncivilized behavior from a TT, in all my 10 years of traveling experience! It was quite disgusting honestly.

We were not penalized however he did not obviously let us continue the journey in the same compartment and kept insisting we go to sleeper class. By then we were left with 30 mins of the journey so we didn't make an issue of it. However once our dad came to pick us up we confronted this TT but he kept denying that he was rude and then later also changed his justification saying that the announcement was only for unreserved passengers, which was honestly ridiculous!!! Because he was giving different answers at different points in time based on his convenience!!

Firstly what I dont understand is that if there is a change in departure time, can IRCTC not be responsible enough to notify the passengers through a text message?! When an announcement was clearly made for passengers of train 16231 to travel by Hampi express, how is it our fault that we are not allowed to travel??!! It's not as though we were traveling ticket-less right??

And secondly and most importantly I need some action against this TT because his behaviour was despicable.
I can only imagine how he'd be behaving with other passengers who are not as smart or maybe very gullible. You need to employ people who are alert, intelligent, articulate and most importantly someone who is compassionate!!
