[Resolved]  Irctc — Waiting List E-Ticket automatic cancellation

Dear Sir/Madam,

This compliant is with reference to one of the rules that is being followed in IRCTC for the Waiting List category of E-tickets.

When a consumer's E-Ticket booked in IRCTC for a travel in a sceduled train is happened to be on waiting list category at the time of booking and if it status is 'Waiting List' at the time of chart preparation, the E-ticket will get cancelled automatically. If that person travels with that ticket, he is just regarded as ticketless passenger.

I would like to strongly advocate against this rule. Because, while booking the E-ticket, the passanger is paying an extra reservation charge. Why not the E-Ticket is given the same options as that with the tickets reserved at the counter. Why not the E-ticket waiting list is also allowed to be in the queue and to get cleared even after the chart preparation?

absolutely true...
i think the railways have an entire concept foe themselves...
we spend more on e ticket and yet are given preference in the last...
i think the railways should look into the matter with more of a concern and better stabilizing approach rather than acting on with the same process whickmakes no sense or just cancel your irctc because it dosent help the way we expected it would.

I am nitumani das.today i was try to booked a e-ticket from irctc.co.in but when it proced to may money i was filled all things and when i payed the money then it was failed and my money is reduce from my acount.

IRCTC has a reason here. A majority of the Waiting list passengers donot travel. So auto cancellation is a useful and a must feature for these people. Hence I propose there should be an option in IRCTC website to choose if we wish to hold the ticket. By default, you can auto cancel the ticket. But when a customer explicitly asks the IRCTC to hold the WL ticket by not AUTO CANCELLING the ticket, this ticket should be of equal importance to the one, which one buys at the counter.

Nagesh — i can't access my mailbox

i m using nokia ovi mail service but last 7-8 day i cannot access my ovi mail service, i try alot but it's not open my id & passwrd is correct but mail not show.
find the attchmnt to show which type of error show.
plz gve m solution.

IRCTC — Extra Charging on e-tickets

Dear Sir,

I booked a e-ticket today through IRCTC Login, from Pune to Mumbai CST by 11008 Deccan Express vide PNR No.[protected] and as per the e-ticket the fare for Chair Car was Rs.639/- for 2 adult & 1 child ticket with IRCTC Service charge Rs.20/-.However, Rs.669/- was deducted from my account i.e Rs.10/- more.

Same thing was noticed on earlier booking as well as cancellation.

Please refund my amt.

IRCTC — refund of waiting ticket

my ticket dated 4 july 2010 pnr no ie [protected] H Sahib Nanded to New Delhi and [protected] dated 27 june 2010 New Delhi to H Sahib Nanded All Four tickets are waiting than partly cunfirmed but balance amount will be not refunded to me.

IRCTC — lost refund coz irctc site non-operative whole day

dear sir,

1. booked an eticket for wife on 08 may 11. date of journey 10 may 11(0615 hrs) Transaction ID: [protected], PNR No: [protected]

2. decided to cancel it at 1100 hrs on 09 may 11 for unavoidable reasons.

3. could not open site http://www.irctc.co.in/ throughout the day, even from different machines at different locations (learnt later that there was problem in irctc server )

4. also tried all customer care numbers, no body attended despite continuous ringing.

5. since train departs at 0615 hrs hence charting would be done today evening (09 may 11 evening) and thereafter i ll not be able to get refund.

6. i am loosing my hard earned money for no fault of mine. it was irctc server which prevented me to cancel it in time as eticket can not be cancelled on counter or any other way

Though now I am also a frequent traveller of Railway
and prefer to get booked tickets on irctc.com.

As I was not aware about the rules and e-ticket automatically
get cancelled, I travelled with the same and face lots of hardship.

I strongly feel that if e-ticket 'Waiting List' status could not be changed it should be stopped and after cancellation of the e-ticket all the money pai by the customer with irctc charge must be refunded to the customer.

IRCTC — Request to withdraw booking facility of IRCTC by railway ministry.

Dear sir,
It is my humble request to withdraw railway booking from IRCTC because they are unable to rectify faults in irctc website since long time.Harassing public/authorised e-ticketing agents.there site crashed sharp at 8am to 9am.Everything is out of control of irctc. Give this services to some big corporate houses and get rid of with this type of problem try some thing new .

yes i m fully agree with the above complaints mainly auto cancellation of wait list tickets...der shud be option that whether u wan to stick wid dat or want to cancel instead of auto cancellation...
I have complaint in IRCTC, I having 4 waiting list tickets on 10-June-2011 from Bhopal to Vishakhapatnam.I took e-ticket from sbi online Transaction ID:[protected] and PNR No: [protected]. i have complaint is as per irctc rule waiting list tickets are refund but, till my ticket money not refund in my A/c. and if any procedure is there so please mail me on my email Id.

So, I just requested refund my waiting list ticket money back to my A/c.

irctc e ticket — CANCELLATION & REFUND

Dear Sir,

I was booked the ticket through IRCTC from Ghaziabad to Deoria Sadar.but the train had been diverted to it's actual route due to which we were not able to travel on this ticket.I was submitted the TDR entry for the cancellation process and when i check on irctc site it show CCM registered only.I want to know how long time taken by you for the cancellation and refunding process.

please kindly as soon as possible cancel the ticket and refund the balance.

I am also against the rules of irctc reservation, E ticket WL should allowed in the coach as a counter ticket.
because We are paying extra charge to bank and irctc as well.

If there is no rule for allowing the e ticket WL. then please don't book the ticket of the passenger due this they have a hope that they will get travel.
but it happen a less.

or the passenger before 3 days so that he can book a tatkal ticket for their journey.

against the request of the passenger the Indian railway has taken a step of the stoping the eticket for 8-9 am in the morining.
but indian railway should also should take this.

IRCTC — FULL REFUND OF CANCELLED TICKETS

I'm Jayesh Parikh from Bharuch having booked Rly. Tkts. vide PNR No. [protected], Transaction ID: [protected] which was booked on[protected] of Sleeper Class Journey in Train No. 19944on Dt.[protected], but at the last moment Authority has announced Cancellation of Train. In fact to catch this Train from Ahmadabad we have traveled through Karnavati Express with Seating Reservation from Bharuch and on reaching Ahmadabad, we came to know that the Train is canceled and immediately we have to rush for other alternative arrangements to reach our destination.
I have filed TDR after reaching back to my home town Bharuch on[protected] and than after I'm in receipt of Rs.121-00 only against Total Rs. 253-00 ( inclusive of Internet booking charges ). Than after I had reminded the authority for refunding me balance amount Rs. 132-00, but yet awaited.
We request you sir, kindly to support me in getting back my balance amount, as due to Railways Management Train was Cancelled and that is why we were not able to Travel in the Train, there is no fault at all from our end.
On the contrary, unnecessarily we have traveled by Train to Ahmadabad and than traveled by Travels Luxury Bus at Premium Charges. So we are looser both the way.

my name is Vishwas Kumar and i made an e ticket on the name SANJAY KUMAR in train no.12649/SAMPARK KRANTI fromYESHWANT PUR to NIZAMUDDIN on22 JULY. 2011 evening 0935 by internet banking. but it showed processing for near about one hour but the ticket was not sent to me.besides it 546 rupees were deduced from my SBI account whose no. is[protected] & my transiction id was IG56446366 .so i want to cancel it fully & get the full balance refund in my sbi account [protected] .MY MOBILE NO. wait list e tkt gets refund aoutomatically hence they can not travel wotherwise will be treated as without tkt.
