[Resolved]  IRCTC.co.in — CHEATING WHEN BOOKING ONLINE RAILWAY TICKET

Dear sir,

To day I made a railway ticket booking " PNR No : [protected]"
While searching for status reservation From: BARDDHAMAN JN(BWN) To : GUWAHATI(GHY) and Boarding : SAINTHIA(SNT) , IRCTC WEB SITE SHOWS THE STATUS AVAILABLE BUT AFTER MAKING PAYMENT IT SHOWS WAITING LIST OF THAT TICKET" BUT AGAIN WHEN I SEARCH FOR STATUS IT SHOWS THE SAME:AVAILABLE 57.

SO ITS A CHEATING WITH THE CUSTOMER. AND IRCTC SHOWS WRONG INFORMATION..
I HAVE ATTACHED A COPY OF MY TICKET.

PLZ TAKE AN ACTION....

# One of the passenger booked on an E-ticket is required to present any of the five identity cards noted below in original during the train journey and same will be accepted as a proof of identity failing which all the passengers will be treated as travelling without ticket and shall be dealt as per extant Railway Rules. Valid Ids:- Voter Identity Card / Passport / PAN Card / Driving License / Photo ID card issued by Central / State Govt. for their employees.
# The accommodation booked is not transferable and is valid only if one of the ID card noted above is presented during the journey. The passenger should carry with him the Electronic Reservation Slip print out. In case the passenger does not carry the electronic reservation slip, a charge of Rs.50/- per ticket shall be recovered by the ticket checking staff and an excess fare ticket will be issued in lieu of that.
# E-ticket cancellations are permitted through www.irctc.co.in by the user. In case e-ticket is booked through an agent, please contact respective agent for cancellations.

Rules for Waitlisted E tickets passengers

a) Status of E-tickets after chart preparation

1. Confirmed E ticket –Wait-listed E- ticket where all passengers are confirmed at the time of charting.
2. Partially waitlisted/Confirmed/RAC E ticket - Wait-listed E- ticket where some passengers are confirmed/RAC and others are wait-listed at the time of charting.
3. Fully waitlisted E tickets - Wait-listed E- ticket where all passengers continue to be waitlisted at the time of charting.


b) Authorization to board the train

1. Passengers with Confirmed E ticket are permitted to board the train. Their names will appear on the chart.
2. Names of passengers with Partially Waitlisted /Confirmed/RAC will appear on the chart (including the Waitlisted passengers).
3. PNRs having Fully waitlisted status will be dropped and names of the passengers will not appear on the chart. They are not allowed to board the train. If full waitlisted passengers are found travelling, they will be treated as without ticket and charged as per extant Railway rules.


c) Cancellation rules

1. Confirmed E ticket can be cancelled by passengers through internet before chart preparation only.
2. Partially waitlisted/Confirmed/RAC E ticket can be cancelled by passengers through internet before chart preparation only.
3. Fully waitlisted E tickets can be cancelled by passenger using internet before chart preparation. After chart preparation it will be cancelled by Railways and money refunded automatically.


d) Refund rules

1. After chart preparation, Refunds for Confirmed/RAC/Partially Waitlisted E ticket will be processed through TDR process. Customer can file TDR online and refund sanctioned by Railways would be credited back to user/agents account.
2. After chart preparation, Fully waitlisted E ticket will be cancelled by Railways and refund shall be credited to user/agents account automatically.

I booked an E tkt for my family. One of the passenger"s sex was wrongly indicated. Male instread of female.

I went to reservtion counter in KR Puram, Indira Nagar and Mayo Hall. They all refused to correct the tkt ont he plea that they have no such arrangements with them.

Can I know from your goodself what is the procedure to get the Sex of the passenger changed inthe tkt

irctc railway ticket — IRCTC cheating

Hi Sir,

I have booked a ticket from chennai to vizag for 13 oct 2010 and while booking the status is wl 3 & 4.Aftwer the chart preparation the status is confirmed for one passenger and waiting list for other passeneger on one ticket.PNR no is [protected].As they will not allow the waiting lis t passenger we have droopped and filed TDR for the confirmed passenger assuming that the waiting list ticket amnt wil get automatically refunded.But now it didnt happened and when we call the customer care they are saying that the ticket is in partially waiting list and we need to file TDR for both passegers.As we dont know this process we have lossed 1700 without travelling and I need file a forum on this.Please help the customers in this type of cheating.They are cheating and bluffing the customers with this internet reservation.wat abt a lay man who doesnt know this process.

This are 2 same ticket so pls give me the diffrence of waiting in first ticket and second ticket, u r showing firstly the normaly waiting and after the booking you give us the PQWL waiting i fil this is cheating to the customer. MyTR ID No.[protected] PNR No.[protected],

This is N.Hemalatha from Kukatpally, i booked a ticket in web site from SEC-BAD TO VENKATAGIRI on 04.09.11and i payed amount thru net banking, But i didnt get ELECTRONIC RESERVATION SLIP to know the PNR and TRANSACTION ID another thing is amount also debited from my account.Will u plz tell me PNR AND ID details immediately.
I tried booking e ticket from New Delhi to Sultanpur through SBI Debit card. but the amount was debited from my account despite of me not receiving the ticket. how do i get my money refunded?
where should i place the complaint?
