[Resolved]  Irctc — No Refund for Cancelled e-Ticket

I had booked eticket on[protected] being Transaction ID No.[protected] and PNR No.[protected] for which total fare of Rs.1080/- were paid through debit card of Bank of Baroda, Mulund (West) Branch, Mumbai.

I cancelled the said eticket on[protected] which shows that said eticket has been cancelled and an amount of Rs.990/- shall be refunded to said account within short time, but till date no refund has been made without any reason assigned to me for the same.

When I checked site of irctc it is wrongly showing that said amount has been refunded on[protected] vide Receipt No.IRCTC.0759.[protected].

I am surprised that Bank Pass Book is not reflecting any entry of refund in said Account then how irctc is showing that said amount has been Refunded.

Pl. look into the matter and be pleased to Refund my hard earned money immediately.

IRCTC — Non-refund of cancelled ticket value

I had booked an e-ticket on 23.07.2008 for travel on 05.08.08 from Chennai Central to Hyderabad by A/c II Tier by Charminar Express (Fare Rs.1139+20). Since I could not perform the journey due unavoidable circumstances, I tried Cancellation of my e-ticket (PNR No.[protected], Transaction ID No.[protected]) on 05.08.08 at 1700 Hrs. but I could not, since the IRCTC website flashed the message "chart prepared - ticket cannot be cancelled".

As advised, I sent an e-mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in giving the details of my ticket, etc. and requested for refund of amount admissible. Till date I have not received the refund. But they mail me saying that I have lodged the claim after 30 days! though I preferred the claim on the very same day of my supposed day of journey. Will any one enlighten me as to how I should proceed further in the matter?

IRCTC — Refund of cancelled ticket

I had cancelled an eticket, previously purchased by me, of PNR [protected],
transaction ID [protected], refund amount 2678 on 13 November 2008. However, as on 26 Nov,
the amount has still not been credited back to my credit card used to

IRCTC — Refund on Cancelled E - Ticket

I had booked an E - Ticket PNR No. [protected] from Borivali to Ahmedabad

Date of Journey 08/04/2009.

This ticket was tried to be cancelled on 6/04/2009 but due to the server problem at IRCTC the same was not cancelled. I was told to send a mail to IRCTC for cancellation. Auto Complaint no. Generated was 3913. No reply for cancellation was received on 6/04/2009. On Following up the next day it was mentioned the ticket will be cancelled on 7/04/2009. No Email was sent again but the PNR status inquiry showed the ticked is cancelled. this was even confirmed with on telephone with IRCTC.

However till date no refund has been granted in my account inspite of several emails and calls. Auto Complaint No. 82392.

Total Cost of Calls amounts Rs. 137/- which also now needs to be reimbursed.

The attitude of persons handling enquires have such a callous attitude and give vague replies.

Please do the neeful at the earliest.

IRCTC — non refund of cancelled e-ticket

I have given a complaint to this forum (LAST WEEK) regarding the non payment of my cancelled e-ticket which was done on 4/02/2009. What is the use of this forum ?. I don't know. Can you give some advise to me, to whom I have to contact for getting my money back.

IRCTC — Refund of the cancelled Ticket

It has been 6 months since i have been following with IRCTC for the refund of the cancelled ticket amount of Rs 680. below is the correspondence happening with IRCTC officials. I am unable to understand as why is there such laxicity in the refund. I demand the refund of the amount along with the applicable intrest on the principal amount.

This is in reference to the below correspondence. It has been 6 months now since the ticket was cancelled....and till date we have received no refund...which we rightfully should have by now.....i believe you had sent 3rd reminder to the CCM/Northern Railway, New Delhi. I am undable to understand the reason of this delay in refunding the amount after the cancellation....PLease can you expedite in the process of me getting the refund.

Following pnr number ticked had been cancellen on 30/09/2009. But irctc could not cancelled the ticket because of prs error at prs end.
No refund till now
there is no positive feedback from irctc customer care number.

IRCTC / E-Ticket — Refund of Cancelled Ticket

I had booked Railway Ticket through IRCTC on 10.06.2009 with Transaction ID - [protected] and PNR No. - [protected] for Journey from KATPADI JN. to ROURKELA for the date 15.06.2009. Due to my personal problem I cancelled the ticket and filed TDR on 16.06.2009. Near about 10 months passed but till now the refund amount has not come to my account. Near about ten times I have also mailed to IRCTC. But till now there is no any respond. What is the next action for me.

But even after several reminder neither i have received refund nor any communication from IRCTC.

Therefore i humbly request you to help me to get refund of my money.

IRCTC — refund of e ticket

I booked e-ticket for kamal kant bahri and neeta bahri with agent Ajay Katyal 254 adarsh nagar jalandhar city 144008 on 3rd janaury 2010 vide PNR No [protected] for new delhi in asrndls exp train leaving on 7th january at 7:35 AM but due to fog the train did not depart and i bought another tcket. i went. many times to the agent but no refund as he told me the case is under processing.now after long time i have not received the refund.
