[Resolved]  Irctc — No Refund for Cancelled e-Ticket

I had booked eticket on[protected] being Transaction ID No.[protected] and PNR No.[protected] for which total fare of Rs.1080/- were paid through debit card of Bank of Baroda, Mulund (West) Branch, Mumbai.

I cancelled the said eticket on[protected] which shows that said eticket has been cancelled and an amount of Rs.990/- shall be refunded to said account within short time, but till date no refund has been made without any reason assigned to me for the same.

When I checked site of irctc it is wrongly showing that said amount has been refunded on[protected] vide Receipt No.IRCTC.0759.[protected].

I am surprised that Bank Pass Book is not reflecting any entry of refund in said Account then how irctc is showing that said amount has been Refunded.

Pl. look into the matter and be pleased to Refund my hard earned money immediately.

IRCTC — refund of e ticket

I had booked an e-ticket on 06-01-11 for travel on 07-01-11 from Aligarh to varanasi by sleeper by Purva Express (Fare Rs.277+20). Since I could not perform the journey because the train was late by more than 10 hours, I tried Cancellation of my e-ticket (PNR No.[protected], Transaction ID No.[protected]) on 07-01-11 at 1700 Hrs. but I could not, since the IRCTC website flashed the message "chart prepared - ticket cannot be cancelled".

As advised, I sent an e-mail to [protected]@irctc.co.in giving the details of my ticket, etc. and requested for refund of amount admissible. Till date I have not received the refund. But they mail me saying that I have lodged the claim after 30 days! though I preferred the claim on the very same day of my supposed day of journey. Will any one enlighten me as to how I should proceed further in the matter?

IRCTC — no refund of fare

I have a complaint to make for my online reservation done by an agent of 14/1/11

return . I wanted to cancell it since the train was late by more than 6 hours.

I tried to cancell the ticket on the phone but was unreachehable . so after

returning back on 16/1/11 I went to the agent for the cancellation but he simply

denyed by saying that the train has already reached.So is there any way by

which I can refund my amount back.

we have book e-ticket on 28-jan-2011 prn no [protected] against on 28-jan-2011 prn no [protected] and 3-feb-2011 prn no [protected] all are cancelled on 04-feb-2011, 3-feb-2011 and 05-feb-2011 so far the amount is refuned back to our sbi bank. Kindly let us know when is refuned can be done.

I have cancelled my e-ticket on 15/03/2011 (Pnr No. [protected] Transaction Id [protected]). But so far I have not received refund credited in my account. I have contacted the bank, but they said "we have nothing to do, contact IRCTC". Since then,so many e-mails were send to IRCTC, giving scanned copy of bank statement. But no satisfactory replay. One of the passenger booked on an E-ticket is required to present any of the identity cards noted below in original during the train journey and same will be accepted as a proof of identity failing which all the passengers will be treated as travelling without ticket and shall be dealt as per extant Railway Rules. Valid Ids:- Voter Identity Card / Passport / PAN Card / Driving License / Photo ID card issued by Central / State Govt /Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School or College for their students /Nationalised Bank Passbook with photograph /Credit Cards issued by Banks with laminated photograph.
The accommodation booked is not transferable and is valid only if one of the ID card noted above is presented during the journey. The passenger should carry with him the Electronic Reservation Slip print out. In case the passenger does not carry the electronic reservation slip, a charge of Rs.50/- per ticket shall be recovered by the ticket checking staff and an excess fare ticket will be issued in lieu of that.

Rules for Waitlisted E tickets passengers

a) Status of E-tickets after chart preparation

Confirmed E ticket –Wait-listed E- ticket where all passengers are confirmed at the time of charting.
Partially waitlisted/Confirmed/RAC E ticket - Wait-listed E- ticket where some passengers are confirmed/RAC and others are wait-listed at the time of charting.
Fully waitlisted E tickets - Wait-listed E- ticket where all passengers continue to be waitlisted at the time of charting.

b) Authorization to board the train

Passengers with Confirmed E ticket are permitted to board the train. Their names will appear on the chart.
Names of passengers with Partially Waitlisted /Confirmed/RAC will appear on the chart (including the Waitlisted passengers).
PNRs having Fully waitlisted status will be dropped and names of the passengers will not appear on the chart. They are not allowed to board the train. If full waitlisted passengers are found travelling, they will be treated as without ticket and charged as per extant Railway rules.

c) Cancellation rules

Confirmed E ticket can be cancelled by passengers through internet before chart preparation only.
Partially waitlisted/Confirmed/RAC E ticket can be cancelled by passengers through internet before chart preparation only.

ON 15/03/2011 I TRIED TWICE TO BOOK 2 NOS. OF SEATS IN THE STEEL EXPRESS FROM TATA NAGAR JUNCTION TO HOWRAH JUNCTION BUT AFTER CLICKING MAKE PAYMENT FOUND SOME PROBLEM AND TRANSACTIONS WERE CANCELLD. IRCTC — No refund from IRCTC for a cancelled ticket

I have booked a ticket through the website. IRCTC.co.in from Yeshwantpur to Secunderabad. But I missed my train on that fateful date. I have filed for a TDR on 13-Jan-2009 as I have not travelled. The website says amount will be refunded within 60-90 days. But so far I have not received the refund amount. Details of the TDR are given below:

IRCTC — no refund of amount

i have book e-ticket through irctc.The amont has been deducted from my Syndicate bank account with trancsaction id [protected] but the ticket was not made. As per irctc they have refunded the amount but amount 618 rupees not been credited in my acount.
