[Resolved]  Kannada People In Bangalore — Behavior of kannada people

To begin with, I have stayed in a lot of states including Orissa, Delhi, UP, West Bengal, AP, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The last one is the worst experience I have had. I dont know how the people of Karnataka and expecially Bangalore have turned out to be such. When I say this, I am not referring to the software engineers or Managers, I am talking about people we come across like shop keepers, auto drivers, bus conductors and other service providing people. Their mentality is such that, if you are not from Karnataka or Andhra Pradesh, then they dont give a damn about selling their product, rather they become interested in torturing them in whatever way possible. Can you believe I was asked 450 INR for a distance of 3 kms at 6 pm in the evening by an Autorickshaw driver. I am unable to cite all the encounters because I am in a hurry now. But I'll write abt them once I am free.

ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಹಿತಿಗಾಗಿ,
ನಾನು ಕನ್ನಡಿಗ

I request admin team to moderate these kind of data.
I feel some legal action need to be taken for beneficial of kannada people, we are the more patience people, so only people from all the states are coming and taking our opportunities, Our Karnataka governement should only take some measures and do some reservation, otherwise we have to fight for our rights
They behave rudely not only with northern people but with all if they see little fair people they instantly come to know we are not natives and they show their kachda behaviour.o ne thing they forget banglore is not because of the natives, its because of 70% migrants it has a name in the world. Because o[censored]s their land gets lot of value which they sell get money build some "sene" everyday like mushrooms and do all these goondagiri. They are just jealous of others nothing else. Even if speak kannada if they knw u r not from bangalore u will be treated badly. Thumbs down for the bangalore we hate you. And i am from mangalore. Karnataka..

Recently while walking on road a local person in bike hit me almost and for protesting he started fighting with me. He was coming in wrong way and even though it was clearly his mistake he started fighting because he might hav a backing of local rowdis and some politicians. We cannot do anything for these worms but to bare with these. A kannada film dialogue says "aham na kattittu kevala labhakkoskara kelsa madbeku" they are just jealous o[censored]s and they should be made jealous which will burn them eventually.
If you are from Bangalore (I dont care which language you speak or which country you are from just if you stay in Bangalore ).

Accept these facts : Traffic is horrible, Infrastructure (Well what do you call infrastructure? The roads are small, food is overpriced, rent is too high), People who doesn't know the local lingo is considered to be at disadvantage.

Are you the best in the world no you are not, but inside India does Bangalore has most of the IT companies settled, Yes it is true.

But remember this if anyone from any part of India tells me to get out of their state I would tell you be careful you are asking me to leave my own country, or if someone foreign or domestic tries to insult any of my country men (Based on how they look, what they talk, who they behave) you just have made more than 100 crore enemies.

United we can do amazing things in this world, but i guess that is not what we are doing here. We are just talking about one small problem and out of 223 not one have accepted/acknowledged the fact that this is a problem. All we do is fighting between ourselves because we dont know each others language, and have no idea on how the other guys are beyond my geographical borders are.

All I can say is "Wake up guys" grow a spine. Do something better, today Bangalore is great tomorrow it might be Mumbai, Delhi, Hydrabad, or Kolkata what would you do then? Respect each other and try to learn about others in detail before you speak or pass any opinion. I can only hope, at core we all are good, strong citizen of India.
Hello Non kannadigas,

Looter category is diffrent..they loot our own people if they think we are from other part of karnataka. I am a Kannadiga and speaks pure kannda.. but in our city kannda being spoiled with mixture of other languages!! I have had one incident that i was refused ration card because i am from other part of Karnataka.. Then i openly fought for my right.. because so many outsiders are getting easily...then why not me? Surprisingly, a week later i was asked to submitt the documents and i could get the ration card!!

So non kannadiga friends, learn the language become kannadigas and fight for your rights..life will become normal instead of cursing everyone.. this is the way of life i[censored] go to any part of the world..
Even I do face such problems but it does not mean that all Kannadigas are like that! I am shocked after reading hateful comments such as the one by Derek... I am a North Indian (to be precise a Jain), not a kannadiga and even I face similar problems here. In fact my neighbour has a grudge against my family and often gets physical with us. But that does not mean that I start disrespecting all Kannadigas!! That's the most arrogant thing I've ever seen! Honestly, I have been worried about the increasing resistance in the local community towards people from other states. But now I see why this is happening- it's because of these people who disrespect Kannadigas. There's one thing you need to realize that it's not only here in karnataka, no matter where you go in the world, there will always be some people who will try to take undue advantage of the fact that you don't know the local language...it's not something you can generalize to Kannadigas alone. In fact if a kannadiga went to sine other state, the same thing would happen with him as well. This is something you cam attribute to common human nature, it has nothing to do with any linguistic group.
Hope God will put some senses in your head and you will stop disrespecting Kannadigas.
If I talk about my personal experience, I have met both the kinds of kannadigas-those who are welcoming and those who are uncivilized. And of what I have learnt, a larger number of Kannadigas are civilized. Atleast their situation is a billion times better than states like Bihar and UP where there is a larger number of people who are uncivilized.
May God endow all thesw disrespectful people with some senses.
And as for those people who think that the it industries were not a result of the hard work of the Kannadigas, then these people need to understand that the IT sector boomed in karnataka long before migrants like you settled here. In fact migrants like you came into bangalore only because the IT industry was well established and successful. So of course it's the kannadigas (and the efforts of the Rajiv Gandhi government) that bangalore is the it hub, it's not because of fools like you who take credit for others work.
I had a very bad experience with Kannadigas ... they have a very hard accent and the behaviour was rude, I had been to all the states in India and I found Kannadigas are the worst in behaviour especially the police, auto rickshaws and cab drivers ... it’s about time for non Kannadigas to evacuate the city immediately
I love this place very much because of the weather especially. I do not see any point fighting between ourself. Kannadigas are good to many extent. There's bad and good in every community, religion, culture etc. No point complaining.
I stayed in Tamil Nadu before coming to Bangalore. My experience in Tamil Nadu is worst and I would never ever opt for a Job there. People are uncivilized.
Bangalore, people are extremely good and I am saying this even after I had ample of bad experience. One is bad, but another is good. This is how it is, I got help and again at times I dint get any help. I am trying to learn the language and speak slowly. It would take time for me to be fluent.

WHAT I DONT LIKE IS, WHEN I MAKE A MISTAKE, PEOPLE LAUGH INSTEAD OF CORRECTING MY MISTAKE. IF THIS IS THE CASE HOW CAN SOMEONE LEARN KANNADA.
If so, why don't you people get out of our state KARNATAKA?! Why cant you live happily in your home towns?! Get the hell out of here, you Hypocrites!
You people can't even respect the place you are living in. Don't you have any regards for the helping nature ang good deed done by your fellow beings?! You are supposed to have some courtesy to speak about good things. No person makes even a small effort to learn ಕನ್ನಡ. Every person living here, making a living and breathing in BENGALOORU, KARNATAKA is ought to speak ಕನ್ನಡ. How else can you show your gratitude to this lovely place? Learning and speaking ಕನ್ನಡ is the simplest way possible way for thanksgiving. Have some morals and ethics! Think sensibly!

Speaking about the comments here, most of the shopkeepers and small businesses people are from west part of India. So, why not speak about their stingy and low class mentally? Why are you generalising are people from BENGALOORU ?!
I would like to mention my own experience here. Few weeks ago, I had been to fancy store owned by a gujrati (as always) to buy a hair clip. There were two brothers in charge of the shop. I selected 4 clips and inquired about its price with the person standing in front of me. I think he was the younger one. He thought for a moment and he asked the elderly one about the price of each hair clip. The person next to him said 'pachchis' (25) in hindi. This fraudster, judging my looks, assumed that I don't understand hindi. Not even wasting a moment he nonchalantly quoted the price as Rs pachchas (50) each and demanded me to give him Rs 200 as sum total! Even though I was confused for a moment, making use of all my hindi skills, it didn't take long to realise he was trying to swindle. I immediately gathered myself and in the the same tone said him the price quoted by his brother was indeed Rs 25, not 50! He nonchalantly replied Rs 50 is the fixed price and said not to bargain. I corrected him and said I heard his brother saying 'pachchis' and defended myself saying my senses can never go wrong. After all this high drama, his elder brother intervened and accepted his brothers mistake. He even requested me to buy at least one clip since his business was dull and he didnt have a single customer from morning. He tried to convince me to buy at least something cause I was the first customer ever since morning that day. I being empathetic, agreed to buy those 4 clips, on humanitarian grounds. After the payment, when I was about to leave the drop in heard some mumbling voice. I turned back to see the person muttering . It was indeed the cheat himself. I stood there baffled. He went raised his voice further using cuss words about KANNADIGA'S and went on saying all malign words about women. Bewildered and embarrassed I left the place immediately, not willing to talk any further .
Now, having said everything, who do you think is morally right?!
I was sweet and good enough to think about the shopkeepers living and just intended to help him make his living. But, instead of being grateful, the cheat was way too arrogant to even accept his mistake and apologise. He even had the audacity to use abusive words about KANNADIGA's and women folks. Is this right behaviour?! Is the way you respect your fellow beings?! Is the the culture you are raised in?!

We KANNADIGA'S are known for our hospitality and good nature. We welcome everybody with a warm heart. We indeed believe in "Live and let live" and are encouraging all, irrespective of their language, caste and creed. But you people should also reciprocate and behave in a civilised manner.

BENGALOORU is unique. Stop comparing to any other city. No other metro city is as tolerant as BENGALOORU. ಕನ್ನಡ as a language has a history and heritage of over 1500 years. ಕನ್ನಡ is a very culturally rich language. KANNADIGA'S are proud about ourselves, our state and language.
We are not racists!
Stop ranting. Instead of bragging about your languages and hometowns, be thankful to all the KANNADIGA'S who helped you in the minutest way possible, since the first day you entered our place. Have some regards for ಕನ್ನಡ and ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ . You are ought to learn and speak in ಕನ್ನಡ.
Be a roman when you are in Rome. Likewise, be a KANNADIGA when you are in KARNATAKA!
Learn to respect ಕನ್ನಡ and ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ !
Before everything, learn to respect women and all your fellow beings !

If all outsider leave Karnataka, you people will die with starvation and you will have to beg.
I have been in Bangalore for past 7 years and I found that Kannada People are worst. They are senseless, arrogant. They don't know how to talk. For outsiders of Karnataka they have full hate. Everytime KANNADA people are ready to fight. I feel like no matter what education they have all are senseless. It looks like they don't have brain. I want to give -ve rating to these people
Kannada imposition will only create hatredness. Kannada is just a language, a medium to communicate and everyone may not / need not have same feelings towards the language . Just like how happiness can't be imposed, values and culture can't be forced too...if one attempts to do this, they may succeed in short term but will eventually loose their reputation (silently or strongly). Everything has its own place and should be treated accordingly.

After all everyone pays local taxes and deserve to be treated respectfully irrespective of language
