[Resolved]  katpadi railway station — enquiry problem

this complaint s to highlight the negligence found in picking up the phone for enquiry details in KATPADI railway station in tamilnadu. there s no proper enquiry desk in the railway station. and whenever you cal to 131 there s no one to pick up the phone. its creates a great in inconvenience to the passenger who want to know the details regarding the train.

could u tell me about katpady to polur railway train timings.

I want to know about express and full train timings from katpadi to chennai and chennai to katpadi.

sir, I tried a lot to contact the station manager of katpadi railway station near vellore. Initially the vsnl authority was informing us that the std code number is was on wednesday. Today I tried with the available std code and the bsnl replied that the telephone had been switched off. Tried a number of times
and every time the reply was the same. I do not know . It is truly funny. Do not know what to do. In fact I wanted to know whether wheel chair is available at katpadi station, if so, how to arrange for the same for a handicapped passenger reaching Katpadi on 24 Jan at 4.30 AM by Puduchery express from Howrah. Further I wanted to confirm whether slanting stair case is available or not so that if train arrives at platform other than platform number one I will have to use overhead bridge to go out of the platform and for that the slanting stair case will be very helpful.
I went to the nearest Reservation counter at KATPADI JN. and meet to Reservation Supervisor on day before yesterday at 4pm. with ERS printout and photo identity proof of one of the passenger travelling and proper medical documents for change my boarding point Yesvantpur(YPR) to Katpadi(KPD) he did not agree to see my documents, straightly he show there own rules which are by him/them and he completely rejected my application.So in this moment as a passenger what should I do. I back to my residence.

Reasons of my change of my boarding point are:
a) I have a patients, she has not physically fitness to take boarding from YESVANTPUR JN(YPR) (attached documents)
b) We are three member (i) My mother (56) (ii) My wife (27) and me who is only one of the male member in this journey, I can take boarding from YESVANTPUR JN(YPR) but my mother and my wife fully unknown person in the nearest area of your railway station, so I can’t leave them alone in KADPADI JN(KPD)for boarding from there.
c) I am a central govt. employer, so I have to join some duty in my university, in this reasons I can’t cancel or book new tickets if any. It’s the only option for me.

I have booked ticket from IRCTC when I have seen the boarding change facility has in the irctc website, I went to change my boarding as per medical ground, but I am not getting this facility from
nearest reservation counter, and we are suffering regard of this.

So its my humble request kindly do the needful and necessary action in this regards.

For cancellation of your ticket, please log in to your account, select the PNR you wish to cancel and cancel your ticket online. Cancellation of your e-Ticket is possible only on the website www, and is NOT possible on PRS Counters.Cancellation can be done till the time of chart preparation for the train which is normally 4 to 6 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from the train originating station.(For trains starting up to 12 in the afternoon the chart preparation is usually done on the previous night).
You can cancel any of the passenger names from the list of passengers on this ticket without affecting the ticket as a whole.
For CHANGE OF BOARDING STATION & CHANGE IN NAME customer can now approach the nearest Railway Reservation Office with ‘ElectronicReservation Slip’ print out and photo identity proof mentioned in the ‘Electronic Reservation Slip’ at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure of train as per existing Railway rules.
Once you have cancelled your ticket, the fresh details and changes made by you will be available on the Cancelled e-Tickets History (as a link to site)The refund amount due to you after cancellation will be credited back to the same account which you had used for booking the ticket.
Now users can check their refund status online by clicking 'Refund status' link after logging in.If by any reason you are unable to cancel your ticket on the website till the time of charting and also unable to perform the journey, please send a mail to [protected] at the earliest giving the details of your claim .We will represent your case with the Railways Claims Wing. However since this is a long drawn-out process. If the user wishes to cancel his E-ticket, he can do so till the time of chart preparation for the train (which is normally 4 to 6 hours before the scheduled departure of the train from the train originating station.(For trains starting up to 12 noon the chart preparation is usually done on the previous night). Similarly these and any other claims/contingencies on this e-ticket may be conveyed to us at [protected] for processing.
Passengers are advised not to carry inflammable/dangerous/explosive articles as part of their luggage and also to desist from smoking in the trains.
