[Resolved]  Kingfisher — Flight Cancelled - Delay notification and not alternate arrangements

I had booked travel tickets on Kingfisher Airlines on their website around 12-Oct-07. This was for travel on 8-Nov-07 on the Mumbai-Nagpur Sector and further travel from Nagpur to Raipur. This was for the peak season of Diwali.
On 6-Nov-07 around 1.30 pm in the afternoon I received a call from their call centre stating that the flight has been cancelled and no alternative was suggested and only refund was offered, which was declined and request given for alternate travel arrangements. Till evening there was no update, on calling them again around 6.30 pm, the executive sought some time and by around 7.30 i was advised no arrangements can be made either to Nagpur or Raipur. I therefore booked tickets for the 9-Nov-07 on Jet airways paying approximately 6900, double of what I had paid Kingfisher originally. I also had to cancel my train reservations.
I had raised this issue with the customer care team on email, but no revert, not even a confirmation of cancellation was sent to me till 8-Nov-07. Later I got to know that the Sector was cancelled on 28-Oct-07 itself, but I was notified only on 6-Nov-07.
There has been no information post 8-Nov-07. Nor has the amount been refunded to my card account yet.

this is absolute right i am facing the same problem. my refunded amount has not been credited yet in my account.kingfisher customer care is providing wrong information.

Kingfisher Airlines — Cancellation of flight at peak Diwali

I was booked on IT3433 for BLR-CCU on 04-Nov (PNR:SPHJHU). At around 7pm on 2nd NovI recieved SMS informing me about cancellation!! They are trying to reroute with either full day haltovers ON 5th or at extra cost.
I feel, this is a technique being used by Kingfisher revenue managers for optimizing revenue - read "Making Quick Bucks". This practice is highly unfair and should be legally stopped. I would like to know if there really is some legal ways to teach them a lesson?
This is a regular feature with Kingfisher. Today morning at 8.00 i received confirmation for my flight on 27th May and at again 10.30 am they are sending another SMS informing flight is cancelled.

on calling CC they tell me to take the evening flight option (which is twice the original fare)

Even though govt says privatization increases competition and brings down the prices for customers benefits (like in Mobile fares), this is hardly true in case of airlines.
