[Resolved]  Maruti Swift Dzire — Maruti Suzuki Dzire Booking Problems

I have been trying to book a Maruti Swift Dezire VXI from the last few days, and am going through the a harrowing experience with the Dealers. I first went to Pratham Motors at Outer Ring Road to book the car. They refused to take a booking and told me that Maruti has stopped taking booking of Swift Dezire cars. When I put pressure on them they told me that they can take the booking but the delivery would take 9 months. They had 2 weeks back told me that the delivery would take 3 months, which was also long, but I was ready to accept it. But last week they told me that they would be able to deliver in 9 months. I was also surprised by their behavior.

I then called up the Maruti call center and spoke to Jiten, He told me that there was no stop from Maruti’s end on booking for Dezire and the delivery period was much earlier than 3 months. He took my mobile no. and promised me that somebody would be calling me at the earliest. But till now there is no call.

After that I spoke to multiple other dealers in Bangalore for the booking but every body was mentioning that the delivery would take 4 to 6 months. When I spoke to Mr. Anil from RNS Motors, Yesthwantapur. He told me that they could deliver the vehicle in 3 months time, I was relived and asked him to send a person to take the booking immediately. But nobody came for the booking till afternoon. Then I had to call Mr.Anil multiple times. Then at last in the evening he promised that one sales executive would reach my home late in the evening.

At last at 8 PM one Sales Executive from RNS Motors Bomanhalli reaches my home, gives me a price and tells me that there are no discounts and any freebees. I agree to the same and fill the booking form. After filling the form when I was giving him a cheque of Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, he refused to take it and said that the Booking amount for the Swift Dezire is Rs.1, 00, 000/-, which is fixed by Maruti. I asked him to show me documentation to this effect, he was unable to show any documentation. After that I spoke to the Sales Manager, of RNS Motors Bommanhalli and also with Mr. Anil from RNS Motors Yeshwantpur the accept Rs.25, 000/- as the booking amount, but they FLATLY REFUSED.

After that I also called the Maurti call center again and spoke to Mr. Danish, and asked him if Maruti had fixed the booking amount of Rs.1, 00, 000/- for the Swift Dezire. He told me that Maruti had not fixed any thing of this kind and he would take it up with the concerned authorities. I asked him for the phone nos. of the Regional Manager at Bangalore of his mail id. He refused to give them to me and just gave a email id [protected]@maruti.co.in.

At end of all this experiences I feel very disturbed with the way I was treated by the Maruti dealers. The attitude they have is like they have a monopoly and can take the customers for a ride. My not buying a Maruti car will not make any difference to a big company like Maruti. I just wanted to check with Maruti if this the way the want their dealers to treat customers and claim to be the Winner of J.D.Power Customer Satisfaction awards, year after year.

I had sent the entire above details to the email id provided by the call center and also put in the details in their web site. I got a reply mentioning that the complaint has been sent to the concerned department and they would get back to me. 5 days had passed and there was no reply. So I sent a reminder mail.

Some body then called from the call center and was taking the details when the line got disconnected. He did not bother to call me again after that. This is kind of service we get from the leading Car Manufacturer in India.

Maruti plan is shut to correct the design flaw of dzire.
the car has major design flaws its unstable at speed above 70km/hr.
What a , Dzire has design flaws!!!, I can understand ppls agony that they faced/are facing with the dealers as there is not lucidity in the process of getting this car, with high demand dealer are also taking advantage of it. But to say about the car, it’s the best in segment with unmatchable features such as Airbag and ABS.

I booked DZire ZXI in March and got delivery in 2nd week of April. Since then I am driving this car and never faced any issues. I have also drive it to a speed of more than 130 km/hr on Taj expressway and the experience was awesome, like driving the car in the skies leaving everyone behind.

As per my recommendations this car is best in the segment and if ppls are willing to buy should go for it only, it will be real pleasure driving it and u will forget all the pains that u had in getting this car.
hello amit,
its not about , i got this info from the dealer itself. it has some major flaws
which maruti is trying to correct and not dispatching the cars.
he also told its good to wait for correction.
ask your dealer how many cars he has got this month then u will come to know.
I too agree with Amit's comments...I talked to few people who got the delivery from ACER motors hyderabad..They personally told me that there is no problem...Even though i got my car delivered on monday, i am yet to drive it above 70 :-)...So, wait for few days before i give my experience as well..But while coming back from showroom on monday, we hired a driver to drop us...i noticed him driving at 60 and ride was smooth...I agree that it's best car in the segment...

Cheers

Maruti Swift Dzire — about delievery

hello,
i had booked swift dzire car three months back at TARA AUTOMOBILES ABOHAR. as the dealer assured the delievery of car with in three months. till now dealer is not sure about the delievery . now please tell me what should i do
Book a DZire for your unborn child...a very futuristic approach from Maruti...a concept car for your would be childrens...
Dzire with a little smaller boot like the indigo CS would definitely be a good option
hi all
i am planning to book one for my son who is not yet born.
thanks for the idea. lets kick this company and go for better option instead of
buying this junk faulty car.

hi all
this is too much, no car in the world has so much of waiting.
this is like booking a boing plane and waiting for its delivery.
i think boing must have delivered the plane's much faster then MUL.
its all companies marketting tactics.
Really feel sorry for the people who have sold their cars believing that delivery of the the new Dzire would soon take place...Any company which puts the customers to any kind of inconvenience should be made to pay penalties...
I completely agree with the above view that it is Maruti's cheap marketing strategy.

Today I canceled my booking made on April-22, initially they told to wait for 3-4 months, but when I inquired after waiting for 2-months they told to wait for 6 months total.

Interesting part is when I started talking about cancellation, dealer told he can advance the delivery date by 1 month, and at final stage by 2 months.

I thing threatening the dealer with cancellation of booking may work for others.

Now I have booked GetZ which will be delivered with in a weeks time.

Come on ... not all customer would like to wait so long.
Move on ...

Best wishes for others in the waiting list.

Hey customers, even after this humiliation why do you still want a Maruti? Problem is not with Maruti, they are behaving just what corrupt & greedy businesses do, but it is you who the problem is.. Go & get some other car for peace of mind. Car technologies are more-less the same across all companies.
Dear all,

I am working in Hyundai Ancillary. Hyundai is very clear about the Capacity plan & demand supply. They never did mistake like Maruthi what they are doing in Swift & Dzire. Hyundai have very good Strategic plan on their new product development. They synchronized all their vendors for the capacity with very clear strategy.
For example:
The i10 Domestic & Global launch was not delayed & there is no complaint about delay in delivery and meet the demand.
Strategy followed by Hyundai

1. The same Santro engine carry over planned for i10 with new transmission line to avoid delay & meet the supply demand
2. New CAPA Series all aluminum engine ( 1200 cc) which is planned for i10 will be fitted in i10 with new more variant to explore the market further
3. The same new engine will be fitted in their global standard ( NCAP – 5 STAR) i20 model ( Project code PB)
4. CAPACITY PLANNING - The market projection forecast for i10 was 600 cars / day only, but Hyundai planned for 1200 cars/ day & supplier capacity (tool capacity) also planned accordingly from the beginning itself.
5. So the production has increased aggressively after launching according to the Domestic & Global requirement. Recently Hyundai touched 800 i10 cars / day & plan has given to touch 1000 i10 cars / day, because there is some more demand on export expected because of Diesel variant. Still, there is no complaint in India & in overseas about delay delivery because of demand & some other reason.
6. The 1000 cc CRDi Diesel engine will ( Source from Korea which is currently well playing in KIA – Picando ) fitted in i10 export model & later on to domestic with some cost reduction measures ( Replacement of Variable Geometric turbo to Normal turbo charge to reduce the cost)
7. PRE PLANNING – Now a days capacity expansion is going on with suppliers (Tools & Jigs) to plan further capa increase to meet the diesel variant demand before its launch.

This is the Hyundai plan on every new projects / car model launch. They never fail to meet the customer requirement, that’s why Hyundai is India’s large car exporter.

So I recommend to GO FOR HYUNDAI MODEL CARS.
Plz wait for some time (Instead of wait for swift & dzire with lakh rupee holding), you will get a new i10 with 1000 cc CRDi Diesel engine with great mileage

(20 ~ 21 kmpl resulting in KIA Picando )

Thanks
Mahaadevan

Sir
It is to inform you that, I Zaffruddin Khan Of Guwahati Assam, had booked a Maruti Dezire Car by a cash of Rs 10000 on 30th April 2008, since the price of Maruti Dezire was going to be hiked from May as told by the sales executive Mr Nayan Jyoti Bayan from Bimal Auto Agency, Chandmari branch, Guwahati Assam. As he told me to booked the car before May’08 and then only I will get it in Rs. 444839.00 so I booked marutidzire car and received money receipt (M.R. No. 16971). According to him Marutidzire car would be delivered within a month but now its going to be 3rd month and not yet delivered. Moreover after requesting several times it has been agreed that the car will be delivered by this month but not with the old price as committed by the agency.
Now the price are likely to be hiked by around Rs. 25000.00 more and I am totally not agreed with this statement as told by the agency and it is out of law as whatever was said before is not committed by them.
Kindly look into matter and give me a positive result as soon as possible.
Thanking you
Zaffruddin khan

KALYANI MOTORS - MARUTI DEALER — POOR SERVICE QUALITY

The firm puts in tall claims about pickup of vehicles for service - and it remains a claim. The keep postponing the day and then on the concerned day, nobody turns up. Nobody picks up the phone at the service numbers also.
Thank god I got my delivery after 3 months... after listening to u guys I think what I did was the best thing. I recorded every calls that I made with the dealer he promised me delivery in 1 month. I made the manager listen to this conversation and after a long hard faught battle I did receive my car. The dealer after receiving the deposit and after 1 months tells me that I wont receive the car in this year... I really got pissed and did what I had to.
All you guys out there record your conversations with your dealer and confront them
Cheers
