[Resolved] Matrix Cellular — Phone bill amount recovered without notice | |
Hello, I used matrix phone service when i was in US for a week from aug 22 to aug 29 .I was explained about the rates how i would be charged .I did say that I will go for a week . When the person came tp deliver me the phone he said for a month ..the charges are ..when i explained I needed for 7 days then he confirmed and again gave me new rates and explained me how it would be charged .I took the form and gave my Amex details . within one day i got an SMS fromAmex of MAtrix blocking 10,000 Rs when I enquried he said that you ahve a limit of 1 lac and you should not worry this amount is only blocked not taken by us ..I was not happy as this was not told to me . When i came back from my trip i enquired about bill .The perosn explained taht the billing cycle i should receive by mid sep .Today when I saw my gmail i saw two mails : One was on recovering money without my notcie from my amex and second was the bill details within gaps of few minutes both the mail was send. I did not get a chance to see my bill .If i would have not paid teh bill for more than a month than matrix is laible to charge me and they could have even take a late fee charge. Incase my limit was low in amex i would not have been in the position to buy anything .My hotel bill was for 49 000 that leaves me with only 40,000 rs which is hardly any money incase i had any problem..This si cheating Was this information helpful? | |

I took a connection for my trip to USA on my Gf’s credit card. It was a $39.99 plus tax. Please bear ini mind that I was in USA before and I had an At& T connection. Matrix has tieups with Cingular
which is AT & T. They first said that Cingular and Sprint charges up front $500 for connection in USA.
So thinkiing that these are hoinest guys I went ahead with the connection. GPRS was supposed to be deactivated. Further they mentioned that they GPRS rates were in tandem with Cingular, in case I dont activate it. The Cingular rate is $1/ day or for $15 unlimited.
Upon reaching USA, I received an sms statining check usage data from http://at&T.com/mywireless for free. Now upon opening that site MATRIX charged me RS. 29, 000. (almost $700). Furthetr, At&T says, " you have no inline support for this kind of number" . Matrix has charged 700 US for visitiing the website, whereas the AT&T rates were $1/day.
Now I have switched to Sprint, and counter to what Matrix has said I did nit have to pay anything. The problem is that MATRIX has charged the entire 29k from my gf’ credit card. I really don't know what to do. MR. JAIPRAKASH of MATRIX is a thief and he is using people’s credit cards for money laundry. Jaiprakash by the way is the international sales manager of Matrix Calcutta. He is a crook. He can be reached at [protected].
Can anyone tell me if any legal actions can be taken against these crooks?

Two years after Matrix falsely charging my GF’s (now wife) credit card credit card, we get another email. As if they are not done cheating:
Dear Subscriber,
This is to apprise you that, you subscribed mobile no, [protected], under customer agreement form no, S-210972, in the name of ’’PRIYANKA AICH’’.That the outstanding of Rs.17, 080.05/- remain due and payable since ’’2007’’, which has occurred due to the usage of said mobile number by you.
We hereby request you to please clear your outstanding due at the earliest.

bill recovery — please recover the bill
siri am staing in ahmednagar, here your employee r forcefully recovering the bills but for your own employee are not paying the bills ( about staff quater) so kindly check it and tell to your recovery officer to recover the staff bills
