[Resolved]  Noise Pollution — Noise pollution due to marriage ceremonies

I would like to bring to your attention in our locality maya puri phase 1 new delhi. there are few home boys they start their loudspeaker near 10 pm and keep going on for hours thereby making it impossible to study or sleep causing huge disturbance. and also the same in the morning time. they create a lot of problems not even in study but also in normal life. even we can't talk over phone. i would like to request to concerned department to take some step and suggest them to play within permissible audio range and time.

We are the neighbours of the above church. But it is annoy able to hear the sound produced from the banned loud speakers using in this church. Even After repeated complaints the church authorities are not willing to remove it. We are finding it very irritating since the sound produced is very high in the whole day time even in the night also using this banned loud speaker ( kolamby ). We request you to kindly take necessary action in this regard.

Hello respected sir, i am lives in petlad and i am working girl.when i come in eveng i daily heard high sound of loudspeaker used in ranchod rai and swaminarayan temple.sometime it used whole night also.its irritate and increase our headache and also disturb students in studies..please do somethng as soon as possible.i am not anti about god why they use loudspeaker for speech, bhajan and for mantras..its really very disturbing..our area people wants mentally peace.please please do somethng and stop to allowed loudspeaker in temples..neither krishna nor allah gives message to use loud speakers for their worship..actually i dont want to complain against anyone but want less noice to survive here.polietly requesting "leave and make to leave others"

I susheel kumar r/o yamuna enclave part 2 dheeraj nagar aitmad pur village.. faridabad... there is a temple near by my house.. they started laude speaker in high speed in the early morning at 4.30 am... and.. i can't sleep after this time..
They sarted to sing song at 5 o clock in evening... to 11 p. m.. i am totaly disturb with this activity... i think i shoul notb live in this society but can't go... if there is any solution please tell me sir... neither i will get suffered from.. big diseases

I am not able to do any work at home nor have a minute of peace due to loudspeaker playing in the name of festival at temple (Not even in this vicinity). And the music playing is not even devotional. They are loud fast film songs. They wont stop even after 12 am at night and starts from 4 am. We have elders in house who are weak at heart and pregnant lady . Please find solution to this. The music gives headaches.Its such a nuisance. Even after police warning they are repeating this.

I would like to report extreme noise pollution caused by Mr. V. Sounder Rajan residing at H.No. 38-87/27. He conducts regular Prayer meetings at his house and uses loud speakers, mikes and other musical instruments. He frequently indulges in this activity thus creating a lot of discomfort for elderly persons, children and residents of A.N Colony. He does not have any license to conduct such meetings at his house and had been doing this for a lot of time. But offlate it has become worse. The noise levels are very high and go on until 12 in the night. Apart from that, this event is occuring almost every week or two.

Request you to please look into this matter asap and provide an easy resolution.

I am living in koottikada, kollam, kerala. My complaint is about the intolerable noise caused by the loudspeakers in the nearby temple, koottikada see dharma sastha kshetra. As a student, i cannot concentrate in studies. I have elderely people living in my home, they feel illness hearing this sound. We have asked the officials to decrease the volume but they keep on increasing the volume, we cannot hear each other calling out in our home. I have complained this to ci, but no action was taken. I request you to kindly take necessary step and solve this issue.

I have some complaint for Loud music at 175 -A, Sheetal Nagar, Indore-M.P.-452001 I would like to raise the complaint for the sound and noise pollution which is caused on a daily basis by My Neighbor.

Daily morning and Night after 12:00 AM they will start loud music.Since exams are approaching for students it has become very difficult to concentrate on studies and senior citizens living in and around the surroundings of the Loud Music are facing health related issues such as lack of sleep etc., . Even people working in night shifts would like to have a peaceful and sound sleep after returning from duties in the early hours. But because of the loud songs played by Neighbor it has really become a headache for the the citizens residing in and around the area.

Hence it is sincerely requested to kindly take necessary steps, and do needful help please. and this is please complaint is confidential.

My name is siddharth i am studiying for ugc net and ibps it officer exam but there is lot of noise pollution in my locality purani basti jaialal munshi ka rastaa 4 cross due to printing press in my neighborhood, as the printing press produces lot of sound which creates disturbance in studies, i was told to study in other rooms but there is no effect . i want to know that whom do i can make my complaint as the press is in residential area which creates lot disturbance but no one speak out i was also told to stay calm what did i do
we ask house owner about this disturbance due to this shop but he shows no signs of disturbance he feels very proud that this buisness of press is going to expand in this ara through him, he says on the next road there is also a printing press he says jab whah p bandh nai hui to yaha kaise ho jaegee, or aas pass bagal mai jinhe problem hoti hai wo koii topp hai kyaa, he is so arrogant and refuses to shift the shop and says we dont have any problem regarding that you should handle yours, please tell what should i do

Subject : nuisance caused by recitation of azans on mosques and use of loudspeakers

The district magistrate is expected to take action upon lodging of a complaint regarding noise pollution under section 15 of ‘environment protection act’ and section 7 of ‘noise pollution (Regulation and control) rules, 2000’, which provides for punishment up to 5 years of imprisonment and a fine of rs. 1 lakh to the offenders.

The police are reluctant to register an offence under the above sections when citizens file complaints about azans on loudspeakers.

The nuisance of noise pollution continues since no stringent punishment is provided for offences u/s 188 of ipc or any offence registered under the police act. Lack of coordination between the administration and the police department should not be the reason for the continued menace of noise pollution. Hence, to facilitate this coordination and with the expectation that the two will get together and find a permanent solution to the issue of noise pollution, we are submitting the petition to both of you.

There is a mosque at rhythm garba and dance classes area (District shopping center, sector-21;gandhinagar, gujarat 382021). I have no knowledge if the mosque authorised or not. I only know that between 5:00pm to 9:00pm times every day the garba song is recited very loudly and shrilly. It is audible for hundreds of meters, and citizens are disturbed and distressed by it.

The aged, children, students, patients and workers (Who are not able to get complete sleep at dawn), are displeased with this blatant violation of sound pollution laws.

Therefore, i/we am/are requesting you to initiate and lodge a criminal complaint against the people responsible for this noise pollution and proceed to punish them with 5 years of imprisonment and a fine of rs. 1 lakh.

I/we request that the police visit this mosque, record the statements of people residing in the area; similarly, a panchnama of the sound level can be prepared by measuring it when the azans are being recited.

Through this letter, i/we request you to investigate thoroughly about the people who are responsible for reciting azan from this mosque, and submit a report to the district magistrate; please do not ignore this letter.

Please follow-up with the police and direct them to submit their report, and take punitive measures as necessary.

I/we, humbly request both of you to take cognizance of this letter at the earliest. I/we also request you not to create a situation where i/we have to initiate any court proceedings to get rid of the nuisance of noise pollution.

We are resident of Maya Garden, ph-1, VIP Road and facing issue of loud music late nights ( currently its 12:39, 29.02.16) due to party / marriage lawns nearby which continues very late and volume is such high that even closing windows and doors cant help. This is hampering our jobs next morning.

I am a resident in pakaloor street of pallichal. For past 5-6 days (March 7-11)
Me and my family is having sleepless nights and days, due to the high volume of songs and other announcements being made at pallichal panayil sree bhadrakali devi kshetram festival.
The temple authorities have set up loudspeakers upto about 1-1.5 km on this street, which is causing huge disturbance to lives of many residents here.

Also, note that there are lot of school going students in this area who have going through their 10th, 12th and other academic annual examinations at present. The huge noise from the temple festival is creating intolerance among the inhabitants and not devotional feeling.

Kindly take action upon the authorities, so that the inhabitants can breathe easily and students can do their studies well.

A water treatment plant (Wtp) newtown kolkata-156 is just adjacent to our house and its pumping motors are on from 6:30-1pm & 4-10pm (Even on sundays & holidays) during this period these motors produce huge humming sound causing great pollution and even hearing illness. The officers of this organization are unaware of this noise pollution. Please take certain action agaist this wtp and ban these noisy motors.

Sir its my kind request to look into the matter especially enfield bullet motor bikes running without silencers. It makes horrible sound. As the delhi government has taken serious steps for drinking drive & black films on the vehicles, and now odd even nos on delhi roads, i really really appreciate about the strict rules. My kind request to the concerned officer kindly implement strict rules to those people who have preassure horns in their vehicles or make unnecessary honking or who runs any vehicles whether two or three or four wheeler s without silencers. My request to you just put heavy penalty on them so that can stop making noises. Like the persons while driving talking on phones or without seat belts or without helmets on two wheeler s are chalaned by traffic police men on pulsar bikes similarly on roads whenever any police man hears unnecessary honking and vehicles without silencers be chalaned heavily, to have delhi noise free.

I stay at DDA flats j-3 near a slum. there is no regulation of any kind to stop these from playing loud music or Dhol. Its 10:00pm and its still on. i'm constantly facing this and about to appear for a mojor exam. how to handle this situation?

Hello, In our area Boduppal, Uppal, Hyderabad - 500092, there is a srikrishna temple. At morning 4, their noise pollution with 12 loud speakers and continues till 11.00 a.m. Again starts at 4.30 p.m. till 9.00 p.m. I cant explain our agony in words. There are 50 families in our locality and every family started having some sort of health disorders.. This is troubling a lot, we cannot get proper sleep in the morning and cant stay at home in the evening. We have requested so many time to reduce the volume. They never listen our words. Local police is a relative of the temples priest. So they openly told to our faces to do whatever we can do. We are in too much trouble. Please help.

Respected Sir/Madam, I live in Lily Apartments, Bandra-west. The couple who live in the flat above my apartment, are renovating their house. This renovation/construction work has been going on since November. During this period not only have we been victims of constant noise pollution, also the walls in my house have developed deep cracks. The couple in whose house this work is going on have been extremely arrogant and rude everytime we complaint about the noise regarding which a formal letter was also sent to our housing society. The owner of the house is unfortunately the secretary in our society and has been misusing his power to the core! The noise pollution that has been going on from the past 2 months has caused immense annoyance to my sick mother (she is a heart patient) and pregnant sister who just delivered twins. They have not been able to rest in the afternoons as the constant banging causes vibration to our walls. The owners of the house concerned are supremely arrogant and do not take any measures to curb the noise pollution, instead with a cocky manner say that the noise will go on like this for another montb or two and nothing will be done about it.
