RTO officers are doing their duty as per law, but bad thing is stupid, uneducated and corrupted ministers are not ready to change this 50 years old law for their starvation. This is clearly cheating, there is only one India, and politicians don’t want unity.

why we should pay for when every time we are transfered from one state to another state.

WE paid every time more fine than actual one. Ask traffic cop to show fine details as print copy, traffic cope should keep this with them.

Traffic department must provide this details to their personnels instead imposing hefty fine to Citizens.

First of all let me tell you that carring original papers is compulsory as far as my knoledge is concern but i fully agree with your view that traffic police are exploiting people. They are a very currept body.

This is the problem of every day of the morning at University Road signal.
The signals are always off in morning as RTO said that this is due to electricity problem. The signals are off then RTO Police allows to go for traffic only for Aundh side for 10-12 minutes. Other side people have to wait around 10 to 15 minutes. It happens daily morning. If it is the problem of electricity then they need to set stop watch for 2min for each side.If this will get in picture then no one will face getting late problem and it will resolve the problem of traffic.

There are lot o[censored]nauthorized auto rickshaw's Flying From bommasandra( Bangalore) to Jiagani(Bangalore). Thease people are moving without any hesitation irrespective of the lives who are there in the same vehicle. If any body objects it the driver will talk in rash manner in the 3rd class local languages. They feel that there no one to object them in the world. thier ego's reaching to the sky. Even though knowing all these things local Police are keeping quite not known what abt thier duties. Unfortunately thease are indirectly supported by BMTC by not provinding proper bus services!!!

So Readers please if your travelling in local unauthorized auto's think n number of times

I dont know how I can get some sense in the government for improving the working and enviroinmental condition of the RTO office in Pune near Sancheti.

It smells o[censored]rine as you pass through the toilets with dirt everywhere.The building is so old that it can fall down anytime and poorly maintained.There are trouts everywhere and even after having valid documents you might not get a signature on your form from the police officers.

Really the working conditions needs to be removed with more fans and sitting areas.

But still I got my learner license in quick time after hiring an agent the second time and paying him 550 rupees.

Same thing hapen with me on 3rd July'2010 Evening, I paid fine of RS 200 to RTO Pune for Signal Violation in front of Tata-Fiat Showroom in Swargate Pune.
The signal at this place in not clearly visible, when I asked the offices about it he says it is in the corner.
Most of the signal along this road are on the central Pole here It is Not.
Secondly the officer has taken my License & refused to return back me until i will not pay of penalty.

The RTO has become a money generating business. The officers will be available at the place where signals are not in proper position. They should be available where there are more traffic problems.

i was fined by a traffic cop named Mrs.Sable ph no-[protected] near shaniwar wada, pune for Rs.100/- for not carrying the driving license. when i asked for reciept i was told to pay 200/-.my bike keys were taken and i was told if i dont pay 100/- right now then i hav to collect the bike from RTo office by paying 200/-, she provided me with her phone no too if in case i can arrange 100/- then giv her a call on the cell. can u just check out hw these cops are making money.

These are really shameless Traffic cops. I don’t know why nobody is monitoring their activity and instead of monitoring they can put one camera over signal to monitoring their activities. At least they can be stopped to overcharging people who genuinely willing to pay actual fine.
Today I was crossing the signal from rakshak chowk and one traffic police suddenly came out from left-hand side to stop vehicles which are already in middle. He intentionally allow vehicle to cross the line to penalize them. He asked me to submit license until I pay fine. When I asked fine amount he told me to pay 300/- and I was shocked b’coz there should be 100/- as per my knowledge. I tracked him at sangavi phata as he already left place for his lunch. I did too much requests and finally he agree to pay 100/- without any receipt. I don’t know but while I was coming back through rakshak chowk I saw that signal were disable as their lunch time was started. If they had started for their lunch, then why should they apply traffic rules to the people and why ask for overcharges.
I have one little suggestion against it that there should be one big banner where all general fines should be written so no body should have to pay overcharges.

Please call to human rites if somebody take your license or money (more then mention above) without giving receipt.

Here are many other charges as well / so enjoy be safe n conscious from Pune police..they are beggars..they can charge you if you do not speak Marathi n if they misbehave or talk rudely just call to below numbers from human rites and launch FIR in Human Rites then in Police station..
According to Human Rites you can see his ID, so Please check and Note down ID of every member who make you fine without any reason..
There are many case of fake ID of Police as well... be aware ...Pune is not so safe now..Police is on street only to make money...

Today morning[protected] I was in Nashikphata (Kasarwadi Pune) Signal.We are on signal when signal was red tehere is timer on that signal but unfortunately tehere is problem in that timer.The problem is in reverse countdown like 4, 3, 2, 1 it is never came to 0 it will take few second for thal & RTO police (Mr.S.Pote) know this very well but we didn't.So when 1 second is balance we come littlebit ahed from road but we never cross road but at the same time signal was stoped at 1 second & RTO Police take out my Vechicle kay instatly.He was saying that you have break signal so paid fine 200 Rs.I told him still we have not cross road yet & there is problem in timer which we don't know then officer has taken my Lisen & return my key to me.then I told him If you want my lisen give me any receipt for that but heis no agreed for that because as per my knowledge I know the fine is 10 Rs.but he demanding 200Rs.& even after getting he never give Official Receipt for that he just write down name on back side of that temporary yellow slip & mention 200 Rs paid as fine.I know this thing Because same incident is happend with some more people when I was there to convence him that this is not my mistake it's signal problem & you know this very well. Finaly he gave me one receipt as proof that he has having my lisen & then I came to office stilmy lisen with him.

Please take some action against the rickshaw stand fellow in the entire Sangvi area as they charge people not according to the meter but by their own free will. My wife took a rickshaw this morning from old sangvi to Pune airport and this rascal rickshaw fellow charged her Rs.400/ - for that.

i have car GCC driving licence in OMan recently i came to india on vacation i have applied for Lerning Licence here in Siddipet, Medak (Dist) RTO, THey have conducted Computer test in 10 min. time 20 quotions, i got 15 marks. failed, again i got 13 marks failed, the pass marks is 16/20, i am not understanding the indian LL system of test, I am failed in the exam means normal people how they will pass without any bribe

dear sir i am staying in new green lawns, kapad bazar road opp paradise cinema mahim mumbai 16, having lot of problem in parking car and the road is only one way, one shop in green lawn c wing belong to car dealar JADSONS MOTOR next to step in restaurant who occupy the whole road in car parking. wich he said pays bribe to local r t o and sometime he parks car on footpath wich does not allow building residence and childern to walk on footpath, there are lots of water tanker park on the same lane wich can be accident prone zone. this is the only ways to hinduja hospital, due to this ambulance struct in traffic for long time.

Also, note in the same area when any private vehicles are parked, the same are being towed by the towing team of area & no action being taken on the buses & other heavy vehicles which are parked there.

hope concerned authority will seriously look into the problem & will immediately try to resolve the problem. Immediate & proper action is highly solicited in this regard.

I sent a letter through speed post from "Alipore PO, Kolkata to Durgapur, WestBengal on 16th January 2010 & my booking no. is EW[protected]IN. But the letter is not reached till now. So, what is the benefit of speed post? A speed post must reach within 2-3 days, but It is not received till now. If I try to contact the Kolkata office they are telling that it was despatched fron Kolkata on 17.01.2010 & if I try to contact the Dugapur they are telling that they yet to receive that letter. No one is not taking any responsibility. Rather they are telling that why you have booked in the speed post? rather it would have been better for you if you booked it via private courier. Now tell me how I will locate the documents as it contains some important papers of mine. Please see to it or I have to put the matter to the higher authorities.

Auto Fare - Western Suburbs — Auto Fare - Western Suburbs

The minimum fare for auto in the western suburbs is Rs.9 for 1.0 reading. Hence if the reading is 9.8, the fare to be paid should be 9.8 * 9 = Rs 88 approx.

However, many o[censored]s are paying 97 Rs. instead of 88 Rs. The rate card with the auto driver also shows this incorrect rate.

Why is no action taken against this. Why is the consumer not educated with this information.

Second complaint is that, if the auto's are now running on CNG, why are the rates still high.

I attempted to take a taxi fom Kharghar to Vashi from the highway under Kharghar Flyover near Hiranandani. On e of the taxi owners stoped the taxi, threatened to break it up and old us we had to take their taxi for a minimum fare of Rs. 200/- The taxi mafia is absolutely out of control in this suburb.

Government / Rickshaws in Mira Road — Meter reading

I would like to complain against all the Rickshaw drivers in Mira Road (Thane Maharastra) as in this area their is no rule of following the meter reading and auto driver ask any thing they want and when the passenger refuses that drivers are abusive and ask you to get down. I would really wish if this crime can stop in Mira road area.

I am travel fm Juhu to Moral near Star plus office& back to Andheri Juhu for past 2 years & I pay around Rs.45 via off J B Nagar & then Andheri flyover via Juhu lane
irrespective of traffic but yesterday I took auto # MH-03R-1860 fm Moral to Juhu & paid Rs. 75 inspite of normal traffic. Fm Moral to J B Nagar meter readed 2 & suddenly meter started reading 630 when I reached to Juhu lane when traffic was very less as it took me just 20-25 mnts to reach at Juhu. Requesting to check auto meter as he may cheat other people also same way.

I wonder what kind of government officials we have who are not able to keep a check on taxi and auto drivers who cheat the public by having fast meters. It is a loss not only for the public but also for the taxi and auto drivers as the public will use the taxis less often as the meters are tampered. Also till date why is there no meters in areas like Thane, Mira Road, Vasai, Virar and other suburbs, what is stopping the RTO officials from taking stringent action against them? Their excuse is outdated that they do not get return fares as the population has increased in leaps and bounds.

I face a problem of the rickshaws having faulty meters everyday. And when i mentioned to the rickshaw driver he says that all meters are about Rs.5/6 more. And he's not the only one with a faulty meter and that's the business of all rickshaw drivers in Mumbai . When i took one of rickshaw drivers to the RTO at Lokhanwala, they said that the office was closed and told me to give a written complaint. Why can't something been done for faulty meters fopr a big city like Mumbai?

I'm a regular traveller by auto-rickshaw and have often noticed variable fares when i'm travelling the same distance. On one ocassion i was lucky to have an auto-rickshaw whose meter was correct. The auto-fare from Vidyavihar (Ghatkopar) to Mahakali (Andheri) was just Rs. 48; my daily travelling route. My normal fare is about Rs. 60 to 65; and on some ocassions it goes upto even Rs. 75. This observation is in light almost regular traffic conditions as I travel early morning. This auto-rickshaw driver was kind enough to explain to me how the auto-rickshaw drivers make their meters fast by 20 paise to even double the speed. Almost every auto-rickshaw meter is fast by about 40 pasie.
I would request the RTO to have a forum / tel. no. / sms no. where one can report such auto-rickshaw numbers. It would be very easy for daily auto travellers to identify such auto-rickshaws.
On one ocassion I travelled by an auto-rickshaw having an electronic meter and even his meter was fast (fare came to about Rs. 73). So please do not rely on electronic meters.
Today I took an Auto-rickshaw (MH 03 AA 8243) from Bandra to Chembur and the fare came to Rs. 80. I'm a frequent traveller on this route also and the usual fare is about Rs. 65.
I've decided to make a note and report such auto-rickshaws and hope that action is taken against them.

I appreciate all your efforts of sharing the grievances. However, what really matters is the actions taken for these complaints. I am not sure if there is a means to see these complaints.

I have recently moved to CBD Belapur (5 days ago) and travel to Belapur station for my job every day. None of the rickshaw drivers have their meters running and also that they claim unruly fares for short distances. Today I had to go to Reliance Fresh from Croma, and there was another guy who called for the same rickshaw and coincidently had to go to Reliance Fresh too. We decided that we take the same rickshaw as we needed to go to the same place.

On reaching there, he started asking for double the money as we were 2 people traveling. And on denying, started threatening us, and started moving back to Croma insisting on dropping us back. We had to pay him Rs26, as both o[censored]s were getting late to go to work. This is not the only instance when I have faced the wrath of these rickshaw drivers. some off them have even pulled out the wires off the meters, making them practically useless. This is not possible without involvement of officials from traffic department in it.

Its hard time and some body needs to do some thing. I am even determined to go to media, if nothing concrete happens. I believe, media is the only means that makes the officials take concrete steps towards improvement.

I always take a cab in the morning from the old Mazgain post office to Mg Road at Fort and the cab fare varies between Rs. 45 - Rs. 50/- max. On 3 July 2009, I took the cab number MH01 JA 3046. Instead of the normal fare the cab driver asked me to pay Rs. 60. When I argued he said the meter says so. I told him that I travel this route on a daily basis and as there was no extro-ordinary traffic that day, the meter should actually show less than Rs. 50/-. But he demanded that I didn't have a choice and I had to pay up. To that I asked him to show me his taxi badge, which he refused to show and also was not carrying with him.

I completely agree. Since last 2 years, I'm regular traveller of auto from Andheri- East(Andheri Kurla Road) to Bandra Reclamation. I always take the highway. One way I take auto from one known person, but in evening, I face the problem of faulty meters. The correct fare is around 72/- but due to faulty meters, the meter reads around 90-95. Yesterday, the auto meter read 115/- which was too high. On denying to give fare as per meter, these ppl start shouting and insulting. It's really disappointing that we know that we are being cheated, still can't do anything in this democratic country.

Today while travelling from Bandra to Chembur (Auto No. MH03 R 7713) I got a fare of Rs. 90 against the usual fare of about Rs. 65. On telling the auto driver, he argued that his meter was running fine. It's time the RTO did something about these guys.

I think this unruly taxi & rickshaw drivers needs public bashing. They are so B*** that they do not stop when asked by elderly persons. I have seen the helpless peoples on the road waiting for rickshaw & taxis & this RASCALS do not stop even when ON HIRE. The police don't have any control on them & their union only knows when to go on strike.Their UNION is IMPOTENT only knows the RIGHTS & do not know their RESPONSIBILTY. because of the No Entry we locals have to go round 2 km, even though my house is 100 meters from the no entry board. and this is not affordable.

While yesterday around the same time i took a rickshaw from Sion Junction the signal on the LBS Road where we take a turn to go towards Sion station to my residence I had to pay Rs 121/- Here I got the traffic on the highway and i have travelled the same route but started much before and pay only 121/- but today i have avoided all the traffic and covered half way and pay more.

I here not to give any complain, Bit to appreciate the Regional Transport Authority for making all Schools to have there own buses for children, Because today we see the quality of buses running on the streets are the buses earlier used to ply on mumbai - nasik / mumbai - goa / mumbai - etc. The buses whose life are over are used for school. Last night I boarded on Taxi MH01.X.2112 from domestic airport Mumbai to Arthur Road, normally the fare is around Rs 200. however I was quoted around Rs. 450. The Taxi Meter was absolutely tempered.

This morning at 7:20am I travelled by rickshaw (# MH-04-AK-4092) from Seven Bungalows to Chandivali as I normally do. The fare is usually in the range of Rs 62 to Rs.68. The meter showed Rs 92. There were no traffic jams or slow moving traffic.
This is one of the many instances that I am reporting and it is sad that the RTO is indifferent in tackling this growing menance. It's time the RTO wakes up and does its job.

This is to bring to your notice that we had hired a Taxi No. MH02 – 6741 from Senapati Bapat Marg, Dadar to Ranade Road, Dadar. After sitting in the taxi, The driver started arguing that he won’t go to Ranade Road and he want a long trip. Secondly Kindly inspect his taxi then you will come to know the horribly condition of the Taxi. The final thing he did was to spot the taxi in the middle of the road in midway and said that the taxi won’t go further as he wan’t to go somewhere out and not is this route.

Is this the way of taxi driver to behave. Kindly look into the matter.

I WANT TO TAKE ACTION UNDER THE AUTO DRIVER FOR REFUSING ME TO DROP..

Dont cry about such minor matters. Look at us, we are getting REALLY FLEECED & THERE IS NO FORCE ON EARTH TO STOP IT.In major cities of Tamilnadu, COIMBATORE tops the rank of fleecers.The auto system here is:

Autos have fixed stands in each street, specially at street corners, least bothered that traffic rules strictly deter such corner parking, as it obstructs traffic. Autos pick fares ONLY FROM STANDS. Suppose your mother has sptrained an ankle on the road, NO PASSING AUTO WILL STOP, you will have to go to the nearest auto stand to get an auto. MEANTIME mother waits in agony.
STEP NO.1:
First you have to tell the automan where you want to go. "On main road or Inside" " How much inside, 10 feet or 1 km" "How is the road, is it bumpy inside" " are there street lights/dogs" "How many persons" "How much luggage" "What's inside" " have bill for the luggage?...FINALLY HE IS READY.
STEP NO.2
Now, the FARE. THE MINIMUM FARE FOR GETTING THE AUTO STARTED IS RS.FIFTY. Yes, Rs.50/-
and nothing less. It might be more, depending on-his mood/raining/nightitme/bandh.Then further bargain, say 3 kms. The fare would be Rs.70/-.Thats only if you are a local. GOD forbid if you speak in HINDI, then fare will be double. The dont want Hindi in tamilnadu, but its ok to watch Hindi Cinema & stars like RAKHI SAWANT & MALLIKA SARAWAT. So, 2nd PART IS OVER.
STEP NO. 2(a)
Make sure driver is not drunk.mostly they are. Make sure vehicle looks alright. In 60% of the time there are breakages on the way, he will stop to clean plug, or carburator, or repair puncture on spare tyre.

STEP NO.2(B)
Carry enough drinking water/short eats, it'll take long time.Autos here travel at just 20kph speed.

STEP NO 3.
CHILLAR ILLIYA. Means, no change. Even if your mother is pain, even if it is midnight, you must get the change, for give him the full note, whatever you lose, its his gain.

THE POLICE/RTO/TRANSPORT MINISTERS/MLAS/MPS must be having their own autos here. SO WHY BOTHER? Let public suffer. Their fault if they dont own a vehicle.The system is that autos return empty, to again stand in queue in their own auto stand, where they started.They cannot pickup passengers on the way, as other autos, in respective areas, will object.So, monopoly of high fares.

the problem is getting more severe can the system will change because the majority of people are common man is been rulled by some minority theft.solution is that bind together and fight against them.

I would like to bring to your notice the dumped Vehicle Toyota on Palm Beach Road---Opposite Chandni Chowk to China
Under No Parking Sign. This has been brought to the notice of traffic police also, but they say FIR needs to lodged to remove this. To pick any unauthorized parked vehicle they dont need FIR.

1. This is a threat to local residents of Sector 28 & 26 as anyone can put it to on fire or put bomb inside it.
2. This is a mockery of traffic police, as it is parked bang infront of No Parking Sign.
3. Reflects total inefficency of the system in implementing rules.
4. Palm beach is becoming a dump yard.
5. Who ever owns this vehicle should dispose it of properly or RTO should sell it off.
6. 100 meters from this place you will see 3 to 4 more vehicles in same situation.
7. Why not penalize these 2nd hand car resellers who are making Palm beach an unauthorized parking place and a dumping place.
8. Also, unauthorized parking on this streach from Signal of Sec 28 to Kopari Bridge leads to heavy traffic Jam between
1930 to 2030.

I totally agree with you on this but to further add to your viewpoint I would like to bring to everyone's notice that rickshaw and tax guys cheat alot on the meter. They some how adjust their meters in such a way that u end up paying 5-10 rs more for a place that is actually supposed to be minimum. For eg: if a person takes a rickshaw from dandapada (khar west) to station it was previously minimum but nw they take 12rs on sharing and i[censored] go by meter it comes to 15rs. Similarly i[censored] take a rickshaw from dandapada to santacruz (st. teresa's convent) it used to be minimum, i remember paying 5.50 or 6rs then the fares went up and it was 7rs which is minimum but now i[censored] go to the same place through the same route it becomes 17rs. This is utter nonsense. Why should we pay more when we being residents of mumbai knw how much the actual fare should be, every rickshawala adjusts his meter to earn 5-10rs more on minimum fare and no citizen of mumbai voices out and goes against being exploited. No political party or the govt can put an end to this cheating business by the auto rickshawalas and taxiwalas.Again i[censored] take a rickshaw from dandapada to vakola datta mandir road it should be 25rs but these rickshawalas make it to 35rs somehow. There is no reason for the fares to be increased, instead they should be brought down and their meters should be changed or monitored regularly so that there is no way for them to cheat the public. Better electronic meters should be installed in every rickshaw with the proper tariff, distance and amount of fuel consumed for each distance being mentioned. All details should be mentioned on the rickshaw and the new meters should be tamper proof. Also every rickshawala and taxiwala should have a legitimate tariff sheet pasted in their rickshaws, that which is signed, stamped and sealed by the govt.

I earnestly plead to the public to wake up and support this cause and voice out themselves because ultimately we also earn money get the hard way, we don't get it falling down from the trees and when people like these come and cheat and snatch away our money, it really pinches us heavily.

Rickshaw & Taxi Drivers — high fare

Rickshaw waalas at sector - 8, Hanuman mandir, Faridabad for the last two-three months are charging double - tripple the money than the actual fare. If one wants to go for 1 KM distance on rickshaw, they ask for 10-15 Rs. The actual fare is Rs 5 only. They simply say that they will charge a minimum of Rs 10 irrespective of the distance travelled.

I Travel daily from Thakur Complex to SEEPZ Andheri(E) via Jogehwari Link Road. The standard fare inclusive of traffic & Signals is in the range of 72-82(during Peak Hrs). Maximum Auto's have a +5 mtr and when we tell them they agree but, today I travelled in MH03AA560 his Meter showed 93 that too in the afternoon at 2:00 with minimum traffic. When I told him the same he initially resisted then took fare as per reading 80 only. I'm complaining here because others who don't know the same might be paying such high fares and actually its way too incorrect. The other provided is throwing an error so posting here itself.

I dont know what to say..This is a peculiar case how people get cheated when they come here for the first time.
I stay in Andheri, marol maroshi and for the last 03 yrs i keep on travelling to Pune for work purpose.Normally while coming from Pune i usually get down in SION Circle take a rickshaw from there to Marol Maroshi via Kurla station road-saki naka-marol naka-marol maroshi.Earlier it used to be maximum 55-60 rupees(night charge) and now after fare hike it comes to around Rs 70 to 80 (with night charge).
Yesterday I came from Pune late night around 1:15 am and took a auto rickshaw and when i reached home the meter read 16.90 ie 209 rupess and he was calculating the night charges extra..when i said he was mad thinking me a new comer he started arguing and started to be little rough and came up with a stone to hit me, when i said i wont pay him more than 80.You can imagine at 1:45 in night what the situation was.Finally on shouting guards and all were at rescue and he flee away.
So guys please wake up..this is seriously a big issue..it can happen with anybody...and if anybody has RTO complaint number pls forward i want to make a serious complaint against the Auto Rickshaw # MH 02 VA 1032.

I travelled from Family Court, Bandra Kurla complex to Lokhandwala Township, Kandivli East on 27th Jan 2011 between 12.00 and 12.30 PM by Auto rikshaw No. MH 02 X 7389. He charged me excessive fare of Rs. 239.00 Meter reading was 18.50, whereas the normal fare is Rs. 151.00 and meter reading of 11.70 which was paid by me while going and also for going and coming on next day i.e. 28th Jan 2011. I took a cab from outside the domestic airport. (Bear the highway - under the flyover) to travel to dosti acres in wadala east. The taxi, an Alto MH 01 AM 8195 had a meter reading starting at 20 (the driver said it is a CNG start cab) By the time I reached home the meter had crossed 190+. And this was while travelling in pretty light traffic.

This fare is always between 120 to 140 max - depending on traffic.I told the driver that in the morning, while being driven all the way to the airport at night time charge, the meter was 148. After initial argument, he agreed and then pleaded that I do not file a complaint. His words, "saheb kamae do na?!"

I would like strong action to be taken against this cab driver / owner.

I wish to file a complaint against taxi no MH 01 AM 8195

i took this cab from outside the domestic airport (below the flyover on the highway) to come to dosti acres in wadala east. The fare of the cab started at 20 and was going real fast. I even asked the driver who said that cab was petrol start!

When i reached home, the fare had crossed 190+. In the morning, with night time charge, the fare was 148. When I mentioned this to the driver and tod him that on most days, the fare came to 120 to 140 max ... he initially argued ... later on he pleaded and finally said: "complaint mat karo ... hume kamane do???!!!"

I want strict action to be taken against such cab drivers / cab owners. This meter tampering is just too much.

Please check the meter of Rickshaw MH 02 UA 8168. I taken this auto from Vakola to Santacruz East station few days ago, normally it is a minimum fare but this auro's meter shows 15, when I note the no driver told me to pay the minimum charge.

RTO — Construction material truck without proper cover

many of the Construction material trucks traveling on sion-mankhurd-panvel highway do not cover the materials carried like cement,sand etc properly.this results in lots of pollution and difficult for bikers and other vehicles to drive.All these things create slippy conditions on the roads and make visibility difficult.There are several RTO officers on this roads but still things are going on unnoticed OR ignored.

I totally agree.I live in Mulund and the rickshaw meters are tampered here. It used to be a minimum fare from station to my place and nowadays it more. Also the rickshaw waiting outside the malls do not take passengers going minimum distance. They wait for long destination passengers. This gets really frustrating.

In Airoli, Navi Mumbai Auto's not using Meter, They blindly charge Rs 20 for short Distance and Rs. 30/40 for long distance. NO AUTO METER IS USED IN AIROLI.

On 17th Feb 2012, I took a taxi which was an Omni, Vehicle No. (MH 01 AM 9743) from Dadar Station (Central) to Five Gardens at 11.40 p.m. There was no traffic at all. The normal fare comes to Rs.16 when there is a little traffic but this time it came to Rs. 24.50 which is quite surprising. I would like to lodge a complaint against this taxi driver and his rigged metre.
