[Resolved]  Passport — delay in passport delivery

Respected Sir/Madam,

This is a complaint for the issuance of my Passport (File N. A082176). I had applied my passport in July 2006 at Passport office Lucknow, but could not get my passport till date.
I would like to tell you the sequence of events happened after I applied for a passport.

1. In September 2006 all the enquiry was completed. The status was "Your passport will be dispatched in two or three weeks".

2. Till November no information was there about my passport.
My online status showing that meet with PRO.

3. I went to the passport office in Mar 2007 and met with PRO.
He told me that your enquiry is not completed.New enquiry will send again.

4. After 2 months in May 2007 my second enquiry has completed.
and online status is showing that your information is not available.

5. I met again two time with PRO.When i met with him he told me that you will get your passport within 15 days.But i did not get till now.


I am finding myself helpless that's why I am registering my complaint here.
Kindly look into the matter and get my passport made as soon as possible.

I shall be highly obliged if some concrete actions are really taken.

This is regarding my wife's passport delay. In the website it is showing as

"Passport has been granted and is expected to be despatched by[protected]. Subject to all documents being in order."

But yet the passport is not delivered.

Please do take expeditious action on this. It is more than 3 months.

Delay in Passport delivery
I've applied for passport on 5th Nov 2008 ANIL KUMAR BOOSA, HYD-W[protected] and I was told that it will be dispatched by 19-03-09 Till now, I don't see any progress. The police verification has been done till date. When I call the enquiry, they are simply asking me whether the verification has been done or not and giving generic answer. The online status site shows that the passport will be delivered in a weeks time. postal Registration Number S60607 . I will be thankful, if the request is expidited.

I Shaik Ahmed have applied for passport on[protected] from vijayawada passport office with
Ref-No: A301362. My police verification was complted in march, and I checked my verification status in CP office vijayawada, it showed verification was clear. Its almost five and half months and still i did not get my passport. When i try to check online status its showing empty status box.When I will get my passport, Why online status is not working.Whome should I meet.

passport after dispatching on 1st september 2009 was not yet delivered to suneel yanamala.

i had applied for the addition of my spouse name in my passport on 24th August. i was told that i will receive the passport within 3 days, all my certificates were verified by the Counter superintendent (Vishakapatnam). however when i checked the online status which said that "PLEASE FURNISH ATTESTED COPY OF MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY COMPETENT AUTHORITY, OR SWORN AFFIDAVIT IN SUPPORT OF MARRIAGE WITH COPY OF JOINT PHOTO.". when i approached the authorities they said that it means that i need to produce the original marriage certificate to the Passport officer. which i had done on 8th till now there is no change in the online status and that i would receive my passport within 3 working days, when i did not receive the same i approached the concerned authority on 14th he said that i will receive it by Friday and today Friday (18th of Oct) they are saying we lack staff so the matters are pending we shall help you at the earliest. Its so pathetic that when i told them i had a ticket to travel back for my work on 18th which i had cancelled and booked for 25th they said that they cannot help me in that its the matter of lack of staff.. how ridiculous is this................ i don't know whether this will help me out....... but if at all anyone knows the public grievance related to passport matters please post in this section

The services of all RPOs in the country are so pathetic and they are so shameless to say that they are not competent to deliver the passport on the committed time. This is the same experience at RPO Hyd for one of my friends and infact they are forcing indirectly to approach the agents so that the staff would get the amount. Even the higher admin and Mgmnt staff is deaf and dumb in these issues.

I had applied for Passport on 27th April'10 , File Reference Number : HYD-A[protected], and its been more than 3 months but till now i have not recived the passport, i had been refering to the Passport enquiry site and as per that it was updated that the passport had been despatched on 22nd June'10, how ever later after for 10 days the status was again updated as "It is to regret that due to unavoidable circumstances the despatch of Passport has been delayed and will now be despatched in a week's time". the status remains to be the same since about 1 month and the updation is auto renewed to the recent date.

This is sort of delay is causing a lot of trobule and ambigutiy as iam waiting to recive the passport and expecting a travel abraod very soon.Hope this matter will be escalted to the concerned depts. and would apprecriate a quick response.

i am Lavanya Raavi. I have applied to my passport in the month of june and my code is A364875(year 2010).verification by the police at my home is done. i did my B.tech degree in Nellore so the verification is supposed to happen there.when we met the concerned department for verification there they said they finished the verification and sent it for furthur processing.
It has been almost 10 months since i have applied for passport and i am fed up calling the people concerned with this.Hence, i request you to look into this matter because this is the case with my sister who studied in Chennai.we have already spent a lot of money for this and hopefully looking forward for better action from your side.

Please furnish clear attested photocopies of first four and last four pages of your mother and fathers valid passport(s) indicating their names in each others passport OR furnish any 3 of the 14 specified documents in the name of your parent(s) with Standard Affidavit (Annexure I), duly notarized.


Naresh - I went to passport office with my passport, my wife's passport and our Marriage certificate ( as our names are not there in each other passport), Officer said that we don't accept marriage certificate than i want to ask how you will update our names in each other passport..


Please furnish attested copy of proof of your current residential address i.e. Election Commission Identity Card/Telephone Bill/Electricity Bill/Water Bill/statement of a running bank account for a period not less than 1 year (all pages)/service certificate from employer of reputed companies on the letter head/income tax assessment order/Gas connectionbill/husbands passport copy/parent(s) passport copy, (in case of minor)bonafide certificate from the institute with copy of identity card, which should be in your name.



Naresh - I went passport office with my reputed company address proof but passpost officer said that i need proof from date your shifted to this home, how can i give that proof, that proof doesn't exist in any document....



It has been reported by the police authorities that you did not furnish necessary documents/dis not attend for verification at police station and hence your verification could not be done. Please clarify and furnish 3 personal particulars forms with stay proof for verification.



Naresh - Which document you need to perform police verification, why its not checked at first place when i submitted passport form and why i need to go to police station for varification and also why you need police verification for 1 year child.
